Lana Del Rey’s “Cola” Reportedly Targets Harvey Weinstein

Recommended Posts

Tastes like Pepsi Cola.

Alleged sexual abuser Harvey Weinstein is reportedly the subject of Lana Del Rey’s Paradise cut “Cola.”

“I got sweet taste for men who're older / It's always been so it's no surprise,” Lana sings. She even name-checks him. “Harvey's in the sky with diamonds and it's making me crazy / All he wants to do is party with his pretty baby.” And “I know your wife, and she wouldn’t mind.” That’s unsettling.

Page Six broke the news. Their source claims the song is “ironic” because Lana was not interested in him at all. They add that Weinstein pursued her, but “she rebuffed him, she had a boyfriend.”

The disgraced Hollywood exec also freaked after learning his name was mentioned in the song. “Harvey went bananas and insisted Del Rey change the lyrics, which she did, removing Harvey’s name, so the line now goes, “Ah he’s in the sky with diamonds and he’s making me crazy.”

You can hear Harvey’s name in the version below.

It’s the song that keeps on giving #MyPu$$yTastesLikePepsiCola

Kinda ruins the song which is a shame because I love it so much. Even if it wasn't about him, somehow my mind will forever associate him and his disgusting actions with this song. :ehum:

Either way the p*ssy line is still iconic :flawlessbye:

Completely off topic but didn't she want Britney to appear in the video for this song during her last tour?

This is one of my favorite songs by her anyway so :flawlessbye:
