Taylor Swift’s Next 'Reputation' Single Is Reportedly "...Ready For It"

Recommended Posts

Are you... ready for it?

It appears Taylor Swift wants "...Ready For It?" as the next Reputation single.

Take this with a grain of salt, but Hits Daily Double is labeling "...Ready For It?" as the "second single." That might seem obvious, but these days artists release a string of buzz tracks and seeing what sticks before labeling it a single. If true, that means Swift will make a video for the track (if she hasn't already).

It makes sense, the song has already racked up more than 930K in sales plus streaming in the U.S. and 134 million global streams since its release.

It's also worth mentioning lead single "Look What You Made Me Do" is No. 1 for a third week this week and "Ready" clocks in at No. 21 (from No. 4).

Let the games begin...

I think this is gonna be her Born This Way era. Huge start due to hype and everything wil go down the drain with the 2nd single (which is released way too fast).

Except this is her 6th era while Fad's was her 2nd :tiffcackle:

Why would she do that? Artists need to realize they'll get the most success if they ride the hype from the initial premiere.

Fans have already bought and streamed the song during it's first week, not she;ll have to rely on the GP's support for the song to take off And we all know how well they ='re treating her

It was actually her 3rd and Born This Way went on to sell 8 million copies WW, nominated for multiple Grammys (including Album of the Year)... now take a seat :whitney:

ARTPOP did fine with other albums... stop the drama. The industry has changed and you can’t find anyone selling big time except Adele and Taylor. So let’s not...

It underperformed big time for a 3rd album :outwithit:

Personally think she should give this first single more time then release the next in a month and a half though I like the second single to

it's her fourth album and it did good especially in modern time.

it's funny try to compare Britney's sales (from the 2000s) to Gaga's or any other pop girls from today when music sales aren't the same at all

I didn't try to compare it to Britney. But it was her 3rd The Fame + The Fame Monster are combined. Joanne is her fourth album and well not even Super Bowl could save it :tiffcackle: poor fad

Still one of the best selling albums of the year so... try again. Critically acclaimed, gained her even more respect. Sorry people are quick to call Joanne a flop when it’s not. wanna find a flop? Unfortunately it goes to Glory

it underperformed for someone that is 8 years into their career. And if you wanna compare her to Britney, she was still slaying 14 years after her debut without even trying :hehehe:

Sorry but FF did nothing big to B’s career. Only Circus maybe bc it was her big come-back album and she had big producers behind it. Still love Britney but her stans should focus on today’s industry and sales than back then. I wish Britney would serve a great era next time, with Vegas gone, it should happen

It wasn't as big of an era as Circus but it still had a #1 album, a #1 single, 2 top 10 singles and good sales overall. The point is that it's not logical to compare Gaga to Britney in 2016 because they didn't debut around the same time (which you did by comparing Glory sales to Joanne's ).

FF was still more successful than anything Gaga has ever done since Artpop :whitney:

"The Fame" and "The Fame Monster" were each nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys, in 2009 and 2010, respectively. They were two different albums, with two completely different eras (e.g., no one would confuse the "Just Dance" era with the "Bad Romance" one). If the Grammys made a distinction between the two albums, it's kind of indisputable.

But still no point in comparing Gaga from 2016 to Britney in the 2000s. That’s why I said, in today’s numbers, Joanne is far from a flop.

If that's the best thing she has for a second single, she can keep it :whitney:

Joanne is a flop compared to her other albums but in general it isn't.

It actually did very good for what it is. That being said it is her least impactful era on pop culture. Either way this whole year has helped her image and brand as a performer.
