I can't believe Slumber Party flopped

Recommended Posts

I literally can't.

An amazing video, a catchy song with a current sound, radio had promising updates for over 2 months and... N O T H I N G.

I'm not surprised it flopped. It was a terrible choice as a single.

However, for me SP flopping, meant peaking at top 50 at least. I never thought it was gonna be worse than Perfume :sassybrit:

Gurl bye, with proper promo the song would have smashed.

Even certain people I know that aren't generally fond of Britney's music enjoy the song.

That song was perfect and had so much potential..

I really think all it is is Britney having a negative stigmatism to her and her name and people are embarrassed to listen to admit they like her

^^ agreed. It's not that the music is bad. Slumber Party is definitely one of the best on the album and I thought had potential for major success. The success on the radio charts it had was just a glimpse of what could've been. It's her image, plus the fact that no one seems to even know she released an album last year.

It honestly would not have hurt to book an AMAs slot... or Jimmy Kimmel... or even Ellen. Tinashe would have been there in a heartbeat.

@BoyToySoldier I've noticed we have very similar taste in Britney's music and seem to agree on a lot. Are you my twin? :quirkney:

Maybe... :queenriri:

Your name is Urbanney after all. :slayney:

I'm not surprised it flopped but I'm definitely angry because Glory was one of the only few female albums of 2016 to have a bunch of bops. Her team is so frustrating to cope with.

Pretty much anything Britney releases nowadays is going to flop without proper promotion. She can't sell on her name alone anymore, and the people she's featuring on her songs aren't big enough names to sell the songs themselves.

So glad she released a bop as second single! :lessons: Poor other Glory songs (minus Make Me...) can't relate! :beysip:

- Her team waited way too long to release Slumber Party and kept promoting Make Me that was already dead after the video fiasco

- All the promo she did on festivals wasn't properly televised so it did nothing for the song, then they gave up like she done enough and that was it

:staysalty:

FUCK YOU LARRY

It was pretty obvious it would flop. The general public wants basic catchy songs. Slumber Party is slightly catchy, but it's not something radio stations would play 20 times a day.

@BoyToySoldier Slumba Party is my fav of Godry, maybe the GP love the song but Britney image nowadays is sad... she really needs to sing live... sadly... but I've heard people (including my flop bf) saying things like: "her music is good but I don't like Britney because she is a singer and she doesn't sing live" ... I hope she reacts very soon and give us an amazing live performance. :slayney:

It was not a terrible choice . Let's be real no other single would've done well people just are not into her anymore she's not relevant in today's time . Celebrities do too much these days. it's so different than it was early on. now you have to be a fashionista and a musician and all this extra stuff besides the talent and she doesn't rly do much of that , which is fine !

Wrong single - great video

this is the problem . Sp is a good song but it doesn't mean it would do good as a single. It's midtempo and we all know what the gp like.

Better , love me down , liar would do better .

Ppl are delusional if you think anything would do better. No one knows she has new music
