Update: Megan Thee Stallion shared a photo of her gunshot wound on her foot. It's pretty graphic NGL. “Lol what I have learned abt majority of the people on social media is y’all like to hear bad news before good news, a lie spreads quicker than the truth, and y’all really be believing the sh– YALL make up,” she wrote. “I got hit at the back of my feet because when I got shot I was WALKING AWAY FACING THE BACK. why would I lie abt getting shot? Why are y’all so upset that I don’t wanna be in the bed sad? Why y’all upset that I can walk ? I got my stitches out my feet like 2 weeks ago and I was ready to go celebrate WAP going number1… I usually don’t address internet bull**** but y’all people are so sick! God was really watching over me and I’m healing so well! Sorry I’m not as sad and miserable as a lot of y’all lol but ima keep being Megan Thee Mf STALLION.” A few weeks ago, Megan took a moment to talk with fans about what's really going on and clear the air about all the rumors floating around.

Not only did his album flop, but now LA prosecutors have charged Tory Lanez with felony assault on the shooting incident with rapper Megan Thee Stallion. If convicted, he will get jail time and definitely deportation back to Canada as he is an immigrant. If convicted, he could face around 23 years of prison time. Prosecutors are recommending that his bail be set at $1.1m at his arraignment, The Guardian reports. Related:

Tiger King's Carole Baskin lashed out at Cardi B for using large cats in her new music video for "WAP" alongside Megan Thee Stallion. “My guess is that most people won’t even see the Photoshopped cats in the scenes because the rest of it is so lurid,” Baskin said. “I was happy to see that it does appear to all be Photoshopped. It didn’t look like the cats were really in the rooms with the singers. In fact, probably most of the rooms were Photoshopped in via green screen.” Cardi B was asked about that. She calls Carole's comments "ridiculous." “I’m not gonna engage with Carole Baskin on that,” Cardi told i-D. “Like, that’s just ridiculous you know? Oh, Lord. Like, girl you killed your ****** husband.” Thoughts, Exhale? Related:

Go to Twitter, "WAP" is trending whether remixed with the slammed Ben Shapiro commentary, or being praised. It's expected to top the Hot 100 next Monday, Cardi's fourth and Megan's second. But one fan base is calling out everybody for supporting this song. Cupcakke's fans are attacking and rightfully mad about the massive commercial success and support "WAP" is receiving. Most point out two things: Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are not as heavy as Cupcakke and have the support of major labels and access to all types of platforms radio, MTV and streaming playlists, the way Cupcakke doesn't. They are saying it's kind of unfair given Cupcakke has been using the same subject as a heavy set woman, and had only a little support. Cupcakke fans are saying respect is finally due and needs to be given and acknowledge. Do you guys agree?

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion just dropped their NSFL music video for "WAP." It's pure s e x. At times, the two rap queens slink around in barely-there outfits. Elsewhere, they rock expensive fashion. The entire music video is a visual feast, and their bars did not disappoint. There's also a couple of special guest appearances. Cardi and Megan get a peak inside a few of the luxurious rooms set inside an million-dollar mansion, spotting Kylie Jenner, Rosalía and Normani. Give it a play below. Congratulations are in order to to Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj! Their "Say So" remix hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking the first time either Doja or Nicki have claimed a #1. That's right, this is Nicki Minaj's first-ever #1. Nicki shattered the record for the longest wait for a first Hot 100 No. 1, by total career entries, as "Say So" is her 109th charted title on the tally (which is also a record amount of entries). Megan Thee Stallion and Beyonce's "Savage" remix took #2. Some stats from Billboard: Let's celebrate to women ruling the Hot 100 this week!

Beyonce jumped on a remix of Megan Thee Stallion's massive hit, "Savage." It's completely re-worked. I already know the comments are going to say Beyonce is trying to cling to relevancy, but there's no denying her star power. Megan is also a streaming juggernaut, so this is smart for both women. Looking forward to seeing Bey back on top! Are you here for this remix?

Megan Thee Stallion is one of rap's biggest artists right now, yet she's stuck in a contract that blocks her from freely releasing music as she sees fit. This happens pretty often, and it's disheartening because it's all about money and label politics. You may recall artists like Jojo, Tinashe and Iggy Azalea being trapped in similar scenarios. Here's a video of MTS talking about it. She says she didn't fully read her initial contract she signed and welp... Do you think this is unjust or is it the nature of the beast? Personally, I think this is f--ked. UPDATE: Megan sued her label. A judge grande a temporary restraining order allowing her to release new music. Pitchfork has details on the contract she signed that prohibit her growth as an artist. Basically, the label is money-hungry vampires.
