Kygo injected EDM into disco queen Donna Summer's iconic hit, "Hot Stuff." I've seen a lot of comments on the Internet hating on Kygo's recent remixes on some classics, like his remix of Whitney Houston's “Higher Love” and the remix of Tina Turner's “What’s Love Got To Do with It.” Personally, I thought they were both awesome re-workings. It's fun to breathe new life into these timeless tunes. The full "Hot Stuff" remix is out now. Are you here for this or nah? Related:

Kygo and Kim Petras teamed up for a new collaboration titled "Broken Glass." In the video, a glamorous Kim serves up her flavor of femme fatale as she battles to thrive in a post-apocalyptic world. The track is pretty catchy, too. How do we feel about this, Exhale? Btw she also performed on Jimmy Kimmel.

A SEMI-NEW WHITNEY HOUSTON SONG GETS AN EDM UPDATE. The Whitney Houston estate released her cover of Steve Winwood’s “Higher Love” as a Japanese bonus track on her 1990 album I’m Your Baby Tonight, but the song received a dance-floor ready re-working by Norwegian producer, Kygo. The original topped the charts in 1986. The reason it never made Baby Tonight was purely strategic. “When [producer] Narada Michael Walden sent me ‘Higher Love’ with the Whitney vocal, we didn’t want her being a cover artist at that time,” record producer Clive Davis said. Kygo was selected as the producer to reimagine “Higher Love” because execs were pleased with his remix of Marvin Gaye’s “****** Healing.” A thumping piano, synths and other production gymnastics breathe new life into the classic. Whitney’s vocals are as striking and vibrant as ever. It’s bittersweet to hear something fresh from Queen Whitney because her presence is sorely missed, but fortunately Kygo did her justice; “Higher Love” sounds incredible. There’s more material from the Whitney estate expected to debut soon, as well as a hologram tour. Listen below:
