  1. Rolling Stone says Dua Lipa's hit Future Nostalgia track "Don't Start Now" and Doja Cat's #1 hit "Say So" inspired Lady Gaga's new album Chromatica. They published a piece with interviews from songwriter Emily Warren, Ian Kirkpatrick and Caroline Ailin (all of whom worked on Future Nostalgia). They opened up about the revived disco sound that's heavily influenced again in today's pop music, including Dua and Doja Cat's music. Cue Chromatica, which taps into disco's lovechild of '90s house. What Rolling Stone didn't mention is that Gaga worked on Chromatica for years prior to Dua and Doja releasing their music. Gaga also released a cover of disco banger "I Want Your Love" with Nile Rodgers in 2016. So Exhale, what do you think? Did Dua and Doja inspire Gaga? Or was it the other way around? Related:
  2. New Doja Cat music: “🐱 Talk “ with City Girls awaits below. Okay, Doja is only featured in this, but I posted it because the city girls are flopping but their new album is a bop, and this song is a bop. However, Doja is still racist and homophobic, so stream the rest of the album too rather than just this song 🙃
  3. Doja cat is doing damage control. She’s been exposed as being racist and homophobic, so what better way to do damage control than teaming up with a black gay man? Doja teamed up with my favorite music reaction YouTuber, Zach Campbell, to react and discuss her new song. I’m disappointed in Zach Campbell for falling for this clear attempt at damage control by her team and I pray he didn’t receive compensation. All money isn’t good money. If you watch the video, it’s clear Doja is STILL racist and homophobic judging by how uncomfortable she looks
  4. #1 singer Doja Cat just released a sparkly new video for "Like That," featuring Gucci Mane. It's cute. In it, Doja and Gucci flex their swag inside a neon-lit, intergalactic world brimming with animation magic. Give it a spin below. Think she can score another chart topper?
  5. I found this accidently, but the video looks really cool.
  6. Doja Cat's got the Midas touch. But so does The Weeknd Doja just snatched her first-ever #1 with "Say So," featuring Nicki Minaj, and now she's got her sights set on a second mainstream edit. She hopped on a remix of "Close Your Eyes," one of my favorite songs off Weeknd's new album, After Hours. Get that second #1, Doja!! The original was perfect, but the remix is pretty awesome, too! Any Weeknd / Doja fans in Exhale? Thoughts?
  7. Dr. Luke's reputation is in the bin amidst his ongoing legal battle with Kesha, who accuses him of sexual abuse. She, along with Kim Petras and Doja Cat, are currently signed to Luke's label, Kemosabe Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music/RCA. Luke is the producer behind Doja Cat's new #1 song, "Say So." Doja actually expressed in the past wanting to be rid of Luke, but he just helped her achieve a career milestone. There's no denying he is talented, but there's a real possibility he's a monster. However, Kesha's claims have never been proven in a court of law (a sad road block to justice many women and men who've been sexually abused encounter). “The guy’s a genius,” Britney Spears and Kim Petras' manager, Larry Rudolph, tells Variety. “He’s incredible at what he does and always has been. He got into an ugly and unfortunate public situation with an artist — but it’s not like his talent went away.” Another top industry insider said, “Luke’s an ---hole. Everybody knows it, but I don’t think he’s a ******.” Luke produced a lot of songs off Britney's Femme Fatale album. He also plays a heavy hand in shaping Kim's budding pop career. Pretty much every song she's released was produced by him (under the pseudonym MADE IN CHINA). I once asked Kim in an interview if she'd like to comment on the Luke allegations, and she plead the fifth. However, the Internet will NOT let Kim forget she's working with an alleged sexual predator. Luke is literally brought up every time Kim posts something new or conducts an interview - the comments go IN on her. Why doesn't Doja Cat get that same backlash? I have seen some outrage regarding Doja and Luke, but not in the same way it's been aimed at Kim. It feels like the world of music celebrated Doja Cat's #1 with Nicki Minaj and few cared to point out that behind the hit is someone potentially ominous. Variety's new headline even says he's back despite hiding in plain sight. Why do you think that is? And are you able to separate Dr. Luke the producer from Dr. Luke the alleged abuser? Can you listen to songs he creates without the thoughts of his Kesha lawsuit coming to mind? Sound off. Related:
  8. So recently..Say So remix went to #1 and Nicki minaj got her first #1 But if you ask me her previous songs deserved number 1 rather than say so remix Say so remix actually sounded like it was fan made..While Savage Remix had that potential to be #1 What do you guys think?
  9. Ariana Grande reveals she and Doja Cat teamed up on a new song together. They recorded it earlier this year, presumably pre-pandemic. Ari had nothing but kind words to say about Doja in her interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe, calling her a breath of fresh air. It's unclear when the collabo will drop though. Ari says she's saving it for when it's time to drop. I suppose that means when she's ready to kick off a new era. Not super sure how that'll look considering we're all in quarantine, but Ari can burp in the mic and it sounds precious. Doja's vocals are impressive, too. I'm excited to see what these two cooked up! Exhale, are you here for an Ari x Doja collab or nah? Related:
  10. We got PLAYED. Doja Cat said she's show her breasts if "Say So" hit #1, and it indeed did hit #1 with help from Nicki Minaj. However, Doja took back her promise, and she's not sorry about it. She first said this: And now that it's #1, she realized 'oh snap' and took it all back. “I’m just gonna be honest with you guys, I did play you,” the singer confessed. “I’m not showing my boo bs real hard, man. You got ****in played. You got ****in played, look at yourself.” The Internet reacts: We lost ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  11. Congratulations are in order to to Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj! Their "Say So" remix hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking the first time either Doja or Nicki have claimed a #1. That's right, this is Nicki Minaj's first-ever #1. Nicki shattered the record for the longest wait for a first Hot 100 No. 1, by total career entries, as "Say So" is her 109th charted title on the tally (which is also a record amount of entries). Megan Thee Stallion and Beyonce's "Savage" remix took #2. Some stats from Billboard: Let's celebrate to women ruling the Hot 100 this week!
  12. The BeyHive is wondering whether Nicki Minaj is taking a jab at Beyonce on one of her verses featured in the new "Say So" Remix she did with Doja Cat. There's several reasons why fans believe Nicki might be shading Beyonce: 1.) A version of the remix leaked prior to the one that dropped on Friday. The official version featured a new verse that wasn't included on the leak, leading fans to believe Nicki added it in the eleventh hour because it makes mention of a lyric featured on the "Savage" remix Beyonce did with rap's fastest-rising female rapper, Megan Thee Stallion. Beyonce's lyric: "If you wanna see some real @$$ baby here's your chance" Nicki's lyric: “Why you talkin’ about who ‘body fake, with all the fillers in your face you’re just full of hate. Real @$$ can’t keep ya n**** home, now you looking silly, that’s word to silicone.” 2.) Before the final version was released, Nicki made it a point to tell fans to "make sure you listen to the outro." The outro features the newly-added line. 3.) Some thought it might be about Wendy Williams, but Nicki denied it. If Nicki is indeed coming for Beyonce, this won't end well...
  13. Keep promoting that smash hit! Love it... Update: she hates it.
  14. The Queen of rap is aiming to get her first-ever #1 y'all! A clip of Nicki's verse on a remix of Doja Cat's chart-climbing bop "Say So" leaked onto the Internet. The track, produced by Dr. Luke, currently sits at #5 on the Hot 100, so if this gets a push soon it could hit #1. To be honest, I don't care that it's not Nicki's song - I'm here for this. Female power! Minus the Dr. Luke part. Are you guys here for Doja Cat - "Say So" featuring Nicki Minaj? Listen to the official version on Spotify. Thoughts?!
  15. So I love mashups and stumbled upon this EPIC mashup of Dua Lipa’s ICONIC Break My Heart, Ariana Grande’s SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SINGLE Greedy and Doja Cat’s Say So. The video is SO GOOD I would love for this to have been real but the editing is A+ it might as well been. Recommend a watch you won’t regret it!
  16. This is the kind of content I want more of. Cosmopolitan got Doja Cat to paint a model sans clothing. I'm not entirely sure she knows he's gay. Did I mention Exhale has a LGBTQ+ Forum? She legit flirts with him, and he plays along. She gets so flustered I'll include the model's Instagram below, but please refrain from posting some of his more risqué photos / commenting something explicit. DM them to one another if you must, but Google is watching us.
  17. Doja Cat recently released a music video for a song titled "Say So" off her 2019 album Hot Pink. It helped push the track into the Top 20 on the Hot 100. It's peaked thus far at #16. "Say So" is co-produced by Dr. Luke. He worked on the album under pseudonym Tyson Trax. This marks his first song to crack the top 20 on the Hot 100 since Usher’s “I Don’t Mind” climbed to #11 in 2015. In a Tweet chain, someone pointed out their shock upon finding out Doja' new hit is a Dr. Luke creation. In the process, Doja Cat noticed the replies and said: It appears she wants out from under Dr. Luke's shadow. Needless to say, Kesha is famously stuck in a contract with Luke. She claims he ***ually assaulted her. I didn't realize this either, but she's been signed to RCA and Dr. Luke's label Kemosabe Records since 2014. Her debut didn't happen until four years later... in 2018. He helped her create a charting hit, however he's also disgraced. Should she be more grateful? Or does she have the right to want out? What do you think? (She liked this Tweet above btw).
  18. Doja Cat dropped a sparkly video for "Say So." '70s is making a comeback! The song is a bop and she looks amazing.
  19. I mean..... The song is great, that outfit is a dream, her dancers are perfect, her live singing is phenomenal, and she looks flawless. If you ask me, Doja Cat is a mixture between Tinashe and Nicki Minaj. SO I WILL STAN THIS WOMAN. And I formally invite you for the ride.
