  1. Lady Gaga's new album Chromatica is officially out! What songs are you loving the most? I'm particularly fond of "911," "Alice" and "Plastic Doll." It's dance floor banger after dance floor banger after dance floor banger. 2020 has proved difficult, but Chromatica is a gem amidst the chaos. So excited to dive into this album. I've only had a chance to listen to it a few times, but it evokes a lot of emotion from me. What's interesting is they're bops, yet the lyrics are poignant, timely and sincere. Yes, it has its bussy bangers, like "Sour Candy," but there's layers of meaning throughout most songs. It takes some time to peel back the mask and unearth what Gaga buried deep below the bass. Let's light this topic up! Please feel free to comment on each song you listen to in real time. Happy stream + comment party, Exhale!
  2. Lady Gaga was dragged for saying how happy she was that Chromatica was out. People felt like it was insensitive considering the country is in mourning over a racially charged murder by police officers to George Floyd, who unjustly died after an office kneeled on his neck and suffocated him. Gaga Tweeted about Floyd amidst the Chromatica rollout on Thursday, but that wasn't enough apparently. She decided to delay the Chromatica listening party from today to a later date. Gaga couldn't have predicted such a terrible tragedy would take place during her album release. It's a tough spot to be in. But, she's allowed to feel happy about her project AND sad about Floyd all at the same time. People are complex creatures and can feel different emotions simultaneously. What are your thoughts? 7. Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande blessed the world with a dance floor banger, and even though the dance parties are happening at home right now, it's been well-received. ISSA BOP, as the kids say. It looks like millions of people agree with me, because the numbers don't lie. "Rain On Me" had the biggest first-day in streams in 2020 thus far. According to Chart Data on Twitter, it also breaks the record for biggest single day streams for an all-female collaboration in Spotify herstory. Are you stanning "Rain On Me," Exhale? Related:
  8. Lady Gaga sat down with Apple Music's Zane Lowe for an interview about her new album, Chromatica, out May 29. She says it's a dance record again. Gaga also talks about Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande in the full interview. We did it kids. Related:
  9. Lady Gaga's new music video for "Rain On Me," featuring Ariana Grande, is out now! The video is a total serve. Gaga suits up as a '90s-punk pop rain warrior. In some scenes she's literally pulling daggers out of herself - a metaphor for past trauma - elsewhere she's singing while rain pours down over her face. Ariana is a true pop star, but this is the first instance where she really leaned into the Gaga effect. It's the best pop visual of the year imo. Thoughts? In her recent interview with Paper, Gaga opened up about the collab. Here's an excerpt: Chromatica drops May 29th. Related:
  10. It pains me to continue writing posts like these, but the Chromatica leaks continue to spill onto the Internet. One of the new cuts, "Free Woman," appeared online today in-full. It's got a bit of an '80s feel to it – a mid-tempo beat pulsates behind the infectious chorus. You may recall Gaga's iconic line, "I'm a free b----, baby." Now she's a free woman. A bit of Gaga's Ariana Grande collab leaked last month. Of course I can't point you in the right direction for either, but they're out there. May 29th can't come soon enough.
  11. I need this album in my life Check out this new Chromatica photo. It's featured as the main pic for the Lady Gaga Essentials playlist on Apple Music. Anyone else counting down the day till the album's out? Related:
  12. Rapper 6ix9ine, whom I did not think would get so many posts on Exhale EVER, claims Billboard fudged the numbers and gave Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber's new song, "Stuck With U," the #1, because according to him... they bought it. He says they used six credit cards to purchase 30k copies and wants to do the same this Friday with his new song "GOOBA." It's a personal vendetta against Ariana now. Gaga's releasing a new song on Friday with Ariana titled Rain on Me," the next single off Chromatica. 6ix could derail that from hitting #1. Obviously his purchasing methods won't work, but he IS creating a lot of chatter around his song which could = more streams. "GOOBA" is #3 this week. We have to start our #JusticeForRainOnMe campaign now sisters Related:
  13. The "Stupid Love" Remix, a Target exclusive bonus track, was just issued. I honestly think she's not giving any promo singles or anything in that matter. I feel the album is just coming out cause it was all about to leak. I still feel she's a visual artist and to her... performance in videos and live make it hard for her to promote, but I also feel the music leaking and people being impatient got into the way. So I think she is just issuing Chromatica without a concrete plan. I already know the tour will likely be canceled. No way city government or state governments will allow massive crowds until a vaccine is created. Update: she's releasing "Rain On Me" with Ariana Grande on Friday. Thoughts on the remix? Related:
  14. Queen of knowing her audience. Queen of marketing. Queen of earning that coint. Lady Gaga is selling some pretty epic Chromatica merchandise bundles. Each item includes a digital copy of the album. Since she can't sell tour tickets with the album, this will have to do. Merch includes: Shirts Sweatpants Hats Socks Bandanas Pillows Tote bags Underwear Thongs Jockstraps It's actually pretty brilliant because I just know so many of gays are gonna just throw our hard-earned stimulus money at her. I was this close to impulsively buying the underwear. Are any of you going to purchase some of the merch? We're gonna need receipts of how it fits
  15. Lady Gaga was forced to reveal the Chromatica tracklist today after Target posted it ahead of schedule. BloodPop, who's executive producing it, then re-posted the image and tagged a bunch of the producers featured on the record. There's a bunch of heavy hitters on Chromatica. Interestingly, SOPHIE was not tagged. She was rumored to have worked on the record. Thoughts on the power house producers list?! Bloodpop Max Martin Rami Yacoub Boys Noize Ely Rise Tom Norris Skrillex Madeon Burns Axwell Justin Tranter Ryan Tedder Madison Emiko Love Liohn Nija Benjamin Rice WhiteSea Music Klahr JKash
  16. HANA, who frequently collaborates with Grimes, and is the girlfriend of producer Bloodpop, said in a live stream that Gaga and Bloodop are aware of the Chromatica leaks, and they're trying to figure out what to do. She also added that they're all upset and annoyed about it. In case you've been living under a rock, Chromatica is slowly spilling onto the Internet and has from the very start. The record was originally meant to drop April 10th, but Gaga postponed it because of the pandemic. You may recall "Stupid Love" leaked a month in advance. Then Gaga's album cover surfaced ahead of schedule, as did her tracklist and clips of new songs "Free Woman," "Babylon" (perhaps titled something else on the album or not included at all) and her Ariana Grande-assisted song, "Rain On Me." It's easy for Little Monsters to demand that Gaga release the album now, but if she has a certain vision in mind and can't execute it because of social distancing... I can understand her reservations. However, I also see the other side: the world is hurting right now and Gaga's new music could uplift millions of people who are going through a hard time. I think she should release it in the very near future and worry about promo later / participate in promo that's not the typical televised performance. Look how many people tuned into 'One World.' 270 million! She could easily think of something creative to promote Chromatica. Thoughts, Exhale? Should Gaga release the album or not?
  17. In light of the pandemic, Lady Gaga delayed her new album, Chromatica. However, since the start, bits and pieces of it have leaked onto the Internet, including lead single "Stupid Love," the cover art and even her performance at 'One World.' The tracklist also hit the net ahead of schedule. It's featured on Target.com. It features Ariana Grande, BLACKPINK and Elton John. Thoughts? Chromatica tracklist: 1. Chromatica I 2. Alice 3. Stupid Love 4. Rain On Me (featuring Ariana Grande) 5. Free Woman 6. Fun Tonight 7. Chromatica II 8. 911 9. Plastic Doll 10. Sour Candy (featuring BLACKPINK) 11. Enigma 12. Replay 13. Chromatica III 14. Sine From Above (featuring Elton John) 15. 1000 Doves 16. Babylon Bonus tracks: 17. Love Me Right 18. 1000 doves (Piano Demo) 19. Stupid Love (Warehouse Mix)
  18. Lady Gaga put Chromatica on hold to focus on healing the world amidst this pandemic. We don't know the album's tracklist just yet, however it could feature a song titled "Last Call For Alcohol." Little Monsters discovered she registered the track on a music publishing website. It's co-written with Toby Gad (John Legend's "All of Me," "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie and "If I Were a Boy" by Beyoncé). Can't wait to wallow away my tears playing Gaga's Chromatica ballad. Stream Lush for Life.
  19. Exhale, help me understand. Lady Gaga's new song "Stupid Love" is already out of the Top 200 on Spotify in the US (source). I am actually pretty shocked about that. The song is a BOP! But it appears the GP is not here for it. They like A Star Is Bornga better. It's not all bad though. It's sitting at #32 on the Hot 100 six weeks in. It debuted at #5. Why did Stupid Love not perform better? Can someone explain why they think it didn't have mainstream success?
  20. I'm beginning to think. We have awhile to wait for Chromatica. With all gay pride festivals crammed into the fall including the Annual white Party in California and of Course Coachella. Knowing gaga. She wants to make her album gets the push where it matters the most. The gay pride fests and parties where gay men dance without their shirts and in barely there jockstraps. So yeah. Expect the album to come in September to mid October. With California on lockdown til May 15 and more states are saying. They won't open til at least September to be on the safe side. So yeah. She wanted her number one audience to enjoy it at their local pride. So yeah a fall release is sure looking like it.
  21. I think the overwhelming majority of people think Lady Gaga's new Chromatica album cover is a SERVE. There's so much attention to detail in it, so if you're on the fence about the art... check out how much TLC went into its creation. The Chromatica symbol Gaga is trapped underneath it. Here's how she originally described the symbol: Gaga channeling... Satan?! Gaga also incorporated the theme of tribes. you may recall there are two battling tribes in the "Stupid Love" video. Each tribe — there are eight of them — has its own symbol and colour. Eagle-eyed fans found the symbols in the upper right hand corner, the middle right panel, and the bottom left corner of the cover. Some of the tribe colors. There’s also this curious green splatter on the left hand side, which some fans have posited could be a reference to her recent comments about earth being “cancelled”. “I think what I’ve learned is that I can view the world in whatever way I choose to see it,” Gaga said. “It doesn’t mean that I’m deleting the bad things, it just means that I can reframe my life experiences and reframe the way that the world frames life experiences to a way that I love and believe in… that is Chromatica. I live on Chromatica, that is where I live. I went into my frame — I found Earth, I deleted it. Earth is cancelled. I live on Chromatica.” The shoes. She wore similar ones 10 years ago in 2010. Are we finding meaning and symbolism in things that might not be there. The answer is no.
