  3. Billie Eilish released her new song "my future." In true Billie style, the track is dreamy, breathy and gorgeous. The first half of "my future" is nearly sans-production before picking up with a subdued beat and ethereal background vocals. “We wrote this at the very beginning of quarantine,” she says of the song. “It’s a song that’s really, really personal and special to me. When we wrote this song, it was exactly where my head was at — hopeful, excited and a crazy amount of self-reflection and self-growth. But recently it has also taken on a lot of new meaning in the context of what’s happening in the world now. I hope you can all find meaning in it for yourselves.” She adds: “The future feels uncertain and crazy right now,, but i think we need to be ready to put the work in, and if we do that, we should be hopeful and excited for our future. I have to keep reminding myself that the future is ours, and I know we want to do everything we can to make it better for everyone in the world, and for the world itself. We need keep ourselves educated and aware of what is going on around us. we need to keep looking forward. We need to keep fighting for what we know is right. We need to vote. We need to take care of the earth. We need to fight for all Black lives. And we need to just. be. better. It’s up to us to change things now. Not only for us, but for future generations. Stay safe. Stay healthy. Wear a mask. Drink water. Stay hopeful.” Listen below. Thoughts, Exhale?
  4. After Billie Eilish dominated the whole of 2019 with the Best-selling single and album of 2019, there have been no signs of the 18-year old 5x Grammy winner halting her superstardom! This week, it has been confirmed that Billie eilish has now garnered over 3.5 billion streams on spotify of 2020. This easily makes Billie eilish the most streamed female artist of 2020! Congratulations Billie! and cheers to the eyelash fandom Billie Eilish has now accumulated 42.018 million monthly spotify listeners Related:
  5. Last year, when Billie debuted the no.1 hit single bad guy alongside the release of her debut album, When we all fall asleep, where do we go? Billie had since then become the biggest artist of 2019, dominating all the charts with two top 40 and 20 hits, the best selling album of 2019, and best selling single of 2019. So I have decided to see how many records Billie in total, has sold. So here is my analysis:- Single Sales- Whether you like Billie or not, you cannot deny that her strong suit is longevity and that's what helps her singles sell properly many months. So it would not be surprising to know Billie has sold 37.5 million singles . 47% of her single sales mostly come out from breakout 2019 hit Bad Guy which sold 19.7 million units (confirmed by IFPI) . Besides bad guy, other hit singles like Everything I wanted sold 5.07 million units (Certified Feb 28th, chances are that it has probably sold around 9 to 10 million units), Ocean eyes has sold 3.02 million units, When the party is over has sold 7 million units, Idontwannabeyouanymore has sold 2 million units, No time to die has sold around million units, lovely has sold 5 million units and you should see me in a crown has sold 6 million units! Album Sales- Not only is Billie a powerhouse in selling singles, but has very powerful album sales under her belt. Her debut album was the best selling album of 2019 (selling over 4 million copies by the end of 2019), and has now sold 6 million copies around the world. In the next five years, chances are that the album must have already sold 15-20 million copies. Don't smile at me, despite being an E.P, has sold around 2 million copies despite no promotion. However, 80% of those sales came after Billie rising in the mainstream front. FUN FACT: With TEA, Billies EP Don’t smile at me has sold 20 million records Single Sales- 37.5 million units Album Sales- 8.09 million units Total Record Sales- 45.59 million records sold WW @Dark.Knight, @Urbanney
  6. Who's the bigger superstar between these three?
  7. Billie Eilish opened up about songs that were the most important to her growing up. It includes tracks by Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne and The Beatles. “This is my favourite Avril song ever, a very big song from my childhood as well as ‘Complicated’, as well as ‘I’m With You’, as well as ‘Sk8er Boi’, ‘Girlfriend’, blah, blah, blah, ‘Keep Holding On’," she said. She also gushed over Britney's "baby One More Time." “This is an incredible song. Dude, this era of Britney was just mind-blowing. Shout out to Britney too, because lately, she’s been… Or since I was on Instagram, which was weeks ago now, she posted a couple of videos to my songs and I almost pooped my pants. So I love you, Britney,” Eilish said. “But this one, this is a classic. Everybody knows ‘Baby One More Time’. I used to dance in the living room to this on my tiny little horrible speaker. Let’s go. Let’s go, Britney.” Related:
  8. Whenever Billie is coming on with a new era, this is the concept I would love her to take on. Album concept/genre: Since 70s-80s disco is in a slow resurgence and it is trending genre rn, I would love to see Billie taking a disco step towards her next era, and if she wants to, she can make depressing disco bops, however I would want to see her take a more upbeat and bangers tempo for the new album I would really love a 12 track album with a lot of creative visuals. I also want her to take more higher notes this time, hearing her brits no time to die performances, she has a lot of potential so she should use now a higher register, like reinvent her voice Style/Appearance: So I want her to reinvent herself this era so she doesn’t seem generic and she is sticking to the same stuff. I think pink hair suits Billie really good so I would like her to take something light coloured like pink. She can keep her baggy clothing, since it’s her signature outfits, but it should a unique and disco kick to it it would look I mean...really cool Collabarations: If possible, she can collabarate with artist like The Weeknd, probably Dua and Doja cat. She can’t even Rihanna (that’s if she ever wants to come back to the music scene). However I would only want like 1-2 or 3 tracks to be features as I don’t want it to dominate the track list Producers: If Billie wants to bring one producer with her and dinners to produce the album, she should take Jeff basket (worked with Dua on future nostalgia) as he was able to make some really good songs in Future nostalgia. However I think she can just stick with her bro as they create enough magic and chemistry together in music. Fineeas really knows how to produce good music. Release date: She should release her first single around September-December (so that it doesn’t flop because of coronavirus) and continue the era till around January 2022 (or even feburaury) and should release the album around February -April 2021 so that it has like 10-8 months to get a lot of sales (and probably have another best selling record of 2021) First single- September-december 2020 Second single- February 2021 Third single- June-July 2021 Fourth single- November 2021 Fifth and final single-February 2022 Performances- She should perform this time in the MTV VMAS, some international awards outside of US, Grammy awards (this time with a banger and awesome performance), EMA, Billboard music awards. Overall she should have at least 10 performances in major shows for the era So these are my ideas for her new era? What’s your opinion? Do you agree? If not, how should her sophomore era be like? Adios
  9. The top pop artists for the first six months of 2020 #1 Billie Eilish #2 BTS #3 TAYLOR ALISON SWIFT #4 JUSTIN BIEBER I'm shocked about #4 given how fast the album took that nose dive, though Intentions is becoming a sleeper hit.
  10. The latest episode of Billie Eilish and her dad Patrick's "me & dad radio" on Apple Music featured an extra special guest, Eilish's mom Maggie. Maggie recalled how eagerly her Belieber daughter was waiting for the singer's new music video for 2012's "As Long As You Love Me." "I remember this one really well and the video, and Billie talking about it, and being excited it was coming out, and just crying and crying," Maggie said. "Everyone knows the whole Billie, Justin Bieber thing but this song was a big part of it." “I would watch the music video for this song and just sob," Eilish noted before her mom jokingly added, "I just want to say, we did consider taking you to therapy because you were in so much pain over Justin Bieber.” Besides Eilish's Bieber fever, the trio also discussed a more difficult time in the young star's life as she struggled with her mental health. Those feeling were reflected in her debut album, and particularly in the song "listen before i go." “With ‘listen before i go,’ I was worried that people would hear it and kind of be triggered by it and be offended, but all I’ve seen is fans talking about how much it’s made them feel comforted," Eilish explained. "And hearing someone going through the same thing you’re going through doesn’t make you feel worse about yourself, it makes you feel a little better." Nowadays, the Grammy winner is feeling a lot better. "There was a period where I cried every single day of my life, when I was like 13, 14, 15," she said. "Every single day I cried. And 17, 18 I cried barely at all. I’m proud to say I barely cry anymore and its one thing I’ve overcome. This is a big deal. Not that it’s wrong to cry, but it’s a good thing I feel happier in my life and I don’t want to cry anymore." Source
  11. Billie Eilish unfollowed a lot of her famous friends on Instagram today. She was under some pressure to disassociate with people who are alleged abusers after posting an Insta story that read: “if I’m following your abuser DM me and I’ll unfollow them.” She since deleted it. She unfollowed Justin Bieber, whom she idolized and collaborated with, Ansel Elgort, Nicki Minaj, XXXTentacion and Chris Brown. We love a woke queen. Related:
  12. One of my all time fav songs is Bellyache by Billie Eilish. It's actually dark and twisted. You think it's all innocent and cute and about butterflies and such But ... she actually murdered her friends and her lover. Cos they took the money that belonged to her. But there's more Read her lyrics and you will see Songs like bury a friend, you should see me in a crown and all the good girls go to hell all allude she actually committed a murder and she's better now that she got the demon out of her @JordanMiller @babyimmafreak90 @Roxxy Mind you talked about us before she turned 18.
  13. Both have similar style in music billie is a bit more pop ( though she hates that ) and Lorde is more indie pop. Which do u prefer ?
  14. In the new issue of GQ, Billie Eilish says she believes she's considered a pop star because she's white. “I hate when people say, ‘Oh, you look like “blank”. You sound like “blank”.’ It was such a cool thing Tyler said. I agree with him about that term. Don’t judge an artist off the way someone looks or the way someone dresses. Wasn’t Lizzo in the Best R&B category that night? I mean, she’s more pop than I am," she says. “Look, if I wasn’t white I would probably be in ‘rap’. Why? They just judge from what you look like and what they know. I think that is weird. The world wants to put you into a box; I’ve had it my whole career. Just because I am a white teenage female I am pop. Where am I pop? What part of my music sounds like pop?" You may recall, her debut album won Pop Vocal Album at this year's Grammys. "Bad Guy" was nominated for Pop Solo Performance. Though I still consider her music pop, I think she makes a valid point. Thoughts, Exhale? Related:
  15. Recently, Billie Eilish came out and stated that she would like for her music to not be referred to as pop. It got me to thinking about what “Pop” music will look like in the coming decade and who will shape the landscape and set the trends. Before I go into that I’d like to acknowledge the artists from the 2010’s that helped shape the landscape of pop music. The artists that I am focusing on are somewhat of one hit wonders nonetheless they did help curate trends and shape music during the last decade. They may no longer achieve the same success in the coming decade, but their music will be heard for generations to come. I’d also like to hear others opinions on what artists or songs you think helped shape music in the 2010’s up to what music is now. Lorde – You couldn’t go anywhere without hearing the song Royals by Lorde. Before Royals became the smash that everyone knew she had released The Love Club on Soundcloud. When Royals became a hit she released Pure Heroine which was well received and had a few more hits such Team and Tennis Court. Lorde went on to release Melodrama in 2017 but it did not receive as much hype as her first effort. Lorde has been compared to Lana Del Rey which I do see similarities but I also feel that Billie Eilish can be compared to Lorde. I’d also like to add that I feel Lorde is 2010’s version of Alanis Morrisette. One Republic – One Republic’s success ignited with the hit Apologize which came out in 2007. By the 2009 the album Waking Up came out and the hits Secrets, All the right moves and Good Life became hits in 2010. One Republic’s success carried on thru artists such as Beyonce with her hit Halo and Kelly Clarkson’s Already Gone. Their success would go even further by 2013 with the hit Counting Stars. One Republic was not only writing for some of 2010’s biggest pop stars but they also influenced bands like Fun. Who came out with hits such Some Nights & We Are Young. Additionally, Fun. Went onto write P!nks hit Just give me a reason. Along with Fun. Came bands such as The Lumineers, Lady Antebellum, Neon Trees and The Bleachers. Carly Rae Jepson – In 2012 you couldn’t escape the memes or the viral videos of Carly Rae Jepsen’s song Call me maybe. The song was infectious and the hook was joyous. Carly brought fun bubbly pop back during a time of electronica, rap and serious pop music. I would consider Call Me Maybe to be one of the biggest songs of 2010 and it’s definitely something that you can easily listen to today. I feel Carly helped pave the way for acts such as Kim Petras, Charli XCX and even Billie Eilish. Kiss was released in 2012 but it wasn’t until Carly’s E MO TION album that we got to see her shine as an artist. Tracks such as Warm Blood and I Didn’t Just Come Here to Dance keep you lingering and wanting more. Other tracks such as Your Type and Gimmie Love give you hope that Pop Music still existed at a time when R&B, Hip Hop and Electronic Bangers were the craze. In 2019 Carly released Dedicated and my heart skipped a beat, but it seemed as though no one else felt the same way. Later in that summer I went to an art show in San Francisco and an Artist performed a dance routine to Carly’s Too Much and it was then that I knew Carly may no longer be the Call Me Maybe megastar but she still inspires and releases superb pop music.
  16. Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas performed a cover of The Beatles' "Yesterday." Looking like a little legend.
  17. i'm impressed with her face, the way she she talks and express herself, something reminds me of britney a lot, specially during the britney era. maybe she studied britney a lil bit? watch:
  18. Billie Eilish is using her immense star power and platform to speak out about the Black Lives Matter movement. The injustice that occurred earlier this week - the cold-blooded murder of George Floyd by a police officer - divided the country even further. Enough is enough. "I've been trying to take this week to figure out a way to address this delicately," Eilish said. "I have an enormous platform and I try really hard to be respectful and take time to think through what I say and how I say it...But holy f—ing **** I'm gonna just start talking." "If all lives matter why are black people killed for just being black? Why are immigrants persecuted? Why are white people given opportunities that people of other races aren't?" Eilish continued. She also spoke out about her white privilege. "Why is it okay for white people to protest literally being asked to stay at home while carrying semi-automatic weapons? Why is it okay for black people to be called thugs for protesting the murder of innocent people? Do you know why? White. F---ing. Privilege." Glad to see this youngster drawing a line in the sand and speaking out about this. Thoughts on Billie's message? Related:
  19. Billie's about to end Gaga and Ari's reign, err... rain.
  20. Billie Eilish stuns in the new issue of Vogue China. The pictures were shot by photographer Nick Knight. He's shot some incredible work over the years. You may recall he's responsible for Gaga's iconic Born This Way album cover. He photographed Billie and the pictures are everything. Very Chromatica Thoughts on the new pics? Are they a slay or a slay?
  21. Is Billie Eilish shouldering a sophomore slump? The main pop girl says she is indeed working on new music right now, but admits she feels uninspired. Billie and Finneas completed three songs though. She just had a huuuuge era. She deserves to take some time off and not feel pressured to have to followup with a new record already. But that's the music industry for ya. Any of you excited for her next album?!
  22. WHO and Lady Gaga organized a special benefit concert called One World Together At Home, a global special that will be seen and heard across major broadcast and cable networks and digital music providers April 18. It's main mission is to raise awareness to fight the Coronavirus pandemic. There is no call for people to donate because Gaga and co. have already raised millions. She asks that people simply enjoy the show. Artists that joined Gaga on the music lineup include Paul McCartney, Elton John, Billie Eilish and Finneas, Lizzo, Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Chris Martin, Eddie Vedder, Kacey Musgraves, J Balvin, Keith Urban, Alanis Morissette, Lang Lang, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Joe Armstrong, Burna Boy and Maluma. As well as Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Sam Smith and more. 23. Main pop girl, Billie Eilish, sang a cover of Bobby Hebb's "Sunny." Her vocals melt over the lush melody so perfectly.
  24. The recording industry association of America just went thru an update. Billie Eilish is now part of the top ten certified females in the digital singles category. At the age of 18. She doesn't turn 20 til 2021. She surpassed Cardi B, Ariana grande and nicki and countless other. She'll probably at the 50 million threshold when she turns 20. And to think she's the only act from this century actually doing something for herself in music. If only her former friend Bhad Bhabie found her niche instead of being an Azealia Banks in training pants..
  25. Billie Eilish's fame shot to stratospheric heights in the last year. She's only 18 and has already achieved insurmountable success. Do you think one day she'll be iconic like some of our faves? Or will her 15 minutes be up soon?
