  1. Tom Parker, who's a member of the British boy band The Wanted (they've been on an indefinite hiatus since 2014 and spawned such hits as "All Time Low", "Glad You Came", "Chasing the Sun", "Walks Like Rihanna" and so on), has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor at the age of 32. He has begun radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment in an attempt to prolong his life, but he has a grade 4 glioblastoma, which is literally the worst case scenario from what I can gather. The article itself states that the average life expectancy for someone with a grade 4 glioblastoma is 3 to 18 months, which is horrible. There is literally no way to sugarcoat this. There is no silver lining. This is absolutely depressing, and to add salt to injury - he has a 15 month old daughter and a baby son on the way. Apparently, Tom had been experiencing seizures, which is what led him to see a doctor. Tom says that he's still confused and doesn't exactly know how to process it, but stories of other people continuing to live for another 10, 20 or even 30 years after having received terminal diagnoses are giving him hope. I'd link the article containing the news and the interview, but I found it to be quite intrusive and disrespectful, so I'd rather not. My condolences go out to Tom and his family. They deserve the world, and I hope he pulls through.
