  1. Ryan Tedder worked on Ariana Grande's forthcoming sixth studio album. He perviously collaborated with Ariana on My Everything track, "Why Try." Tedder is responsible for a bunch of seriously massive hits, including Beyonce's "Halo," "Remedy" by Adele, "Bet You Wanna" by BLACKPINK and Cardi B.... to be honest there's so many. Tedder can be very hit or miss when it comes to crafting music, but I personally love almost everything he makes. I'm excited to hear what Ariana and he cooked up. Thoughts, Exhale? Are you here for this collab? Related:
  2. Anitta is coming with fire in her eyes for the international market! After 5 Latin GRAMMYs nominations and being praised by Madonna, Snoop Dogg and J Balvin for her work on pop, urban and latin music, the "Girl From Rio" is preparing her first album with a new label, Warner Records, and it promises to be her biggest move till the date. Since she signed with Brandon Silverstein and S10 (Normani and Bazzi's managers), the Brazilian supreme star is taking all of the steps for a U.S debut, including a big project produced by Ryan Tedder (yes, that Ryan Tedder) and a solo concert at Coachella's main stage, that was delayed due to COVID-19 pandemic. But she's here to serve and it didn't stop her, as her lead single, the feminist anthem "Me Gusta", is confirmed for August. Let's check what else she has on hands for us: - The lead-single, "Me Gusta": Registered in the beginning of the year and with its music video recorded in February in Salvador, the same Brazilian city that Michael Jackson recorded the iconic "They Don't Care About Us", this bop will bring a mix of two genres (Brazilian funk+Pagodão baiano) in spanglish, being her most risky single ever. The song talks about female empowerment and already has a snippet going on the internet. The music video will bring a fashion show produced by Nicola Formichetti, who worked on Lady Gaga's Haus Labs. She also confirmed that her team is waiting the pandemic to set down for recording the music videos for the next singles. - The album, "Girl From Rio": Anitta teased this name as a song confirmed on the album (in reference to the iconic Brazilian 60s smash "The Girl From Ipanema") and her favorite possible title, matching with the theme she wants for it, female empowerment and her childhood's stories. She promises to bring all the Carnival vibes for a pop record, with tons of Brazilian tastes, as baile funk, samba and bossa nova, defining it as her best work ever and the one she has more proud of. You must have seen some rumors about some artists like Miley Cyrus, ROSALÍA and Nicki Minaj joining her for it, but, in fact, she said that probably there will be only 2 collabs, "Me Gusta" and "Tócame". The good news are that she confirmed a song ready to be released with Cardi B and others with "huge female singers". Besides that, she has an A+ List team working with her for the LP. We already have names like Ryan Tedder, Pharrell Williams, Sam Smith, The Monsters and Strangerz, Stargate, Sky Rompiendo and The Stereotypes. The Brazilian flavor is in the hands of Papatinho, ÀTTØØXXÁ and Tropkillaz. If you want to get to know more about the Brazilian icon, watch her doc series on Netflix, "Vai Anitta" and keep your eyes on her next songs!
  3. OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder believes it's not the right time to release new music while the pandemic rages on. He calls it "tone-deaf." Below is a snippet from his interview with USA Today. USA Today: Many artists have been wrestling with whether to release their albums right now. On one hand, you want to give fans something to enjoy during these times, while also considering all the mechanics of releasing, promoting and touring an album. How have you approached that, in regards to OneRepublic? Tedder: Nobody can compete with the news cycle right now. And if you're not doing that, you're competing with "Tiger King." We have this huge record that we wanted to drop in mid-May that we now won't. It's a summer song, it's like the Beach Boys, it feels like it's such a hit, but I'm not going to do it in the middle of a pandemic. We dropped a charity song two weeks ago called "Better Days," and it's a non-cheesy anthem about what it feels like now to be in this time and space we're in. But the only way I could release it in good conscience was by donating profits to the Red Cross, because I feel weird saying, "Come buy my stuff, check me out." Meanwhile, people are sick and dying. It's very tone-deaf. And unless you're an artist who had a lot of momentum going into this pandemic like The Weeknd or Dua Lipa, it's really hard to get anyone to pay attention." "So much of what OneRepublic does is driven by television. We do a lot of TV, but at that point, the "Today" show canceled. "Ellen" canceled. Everything canceled. And I'm not going to go put out an album I spent the better part of 6 to 12 months working on in a vacuum. Also, a lot of our audience are people listening to and from work: driving in their cars, Ubers, Lyfts, subways, you name it. We just lost 30-40% of that audience in the last three weeks." Tedder added that he has songs with Miley Cyrus, Diplo, Katy Perry "that were all supposed to be coming out in the next couple of months. Some of them might, but I can tell you that every single artist I've talked with is sitting there going, "Well, what do I do? Is it going to be a tree falling in a forest?" He also worked on Lady Gaga's Chromatica, which has been postponed for the foreseeable future as well. My two cents? I'm calling BS. The world is hurting right now, and music is a powerful healing agent. So, let me get this straight, you won't drop new music because less people will hear it initially? What do you think, Exhale?
  4. Ryan Tedder recently made headlines for commenting on his work with Lady Gaga and her forthcoming album Chromatica. He's also collaborated with Katy Perry on her new record, out this summer. He tells Official Charts Katy is a world class vocalist and says she's got some of the best songwriters in the industry working on the album. It's worth reminding you RT is an amazing songwriter himself (Beyoncé’s Halo, Ella Henderson's Ghost and Leona Lewis’s Bleeding Love). “I was working with Katy two weeks ago," explained Ryan. "She’s in a really cool headspace. I’ve only cut one song with her but I’m in love with it. I hope it comes out," he said. “I haven’t heard much of the album but the writers doing it are two or three of the top writers in the world. I’ve worked with them on other stuff I have coming out for other artists. She’s got a 'best of' team assembled and what I’ve heard I’ve been very impressed with.” “Her voice sounds better than I’ve ever heard it. You forget how good a singer Katy Perry is. Katy is a world class vocalist and I don’t think she gets enough credit for that.” My body is ready! Are you guys excited for KP5?!
  5. I reported earlier that OneRepublic's album would be out on 03/13 but that date turned out to be for another single after the series of "Wanted", "Rescue Me" and "Somebody To Love". The band released the brand new single today called "Didn't I". They premiered the new song with a new video which you can watch below. Along the release of the brand new single, the band has officially announced the release date of the upcoming album "Human". The album will contain 16 tracks according to iTunes which appears to be a deluxe edition. In that tracklisting, the earlier released songs "Wanted", "Rescue Me" and "Somebody To Love" + the just released song "Didn't I" are included. The album will be out on May 8th this year. 6. This album is going to be EPIC! Lady Gaga's new album Chromatica is rumored to feature Ariana Grande and Blackpink. One thing's for sure: Ryan Tedder, an amazing songwriter and producer, will be featured on the record. It's unclear in what capacity at the moment - whether he has vocals or songwriting credits. I'm assuming the latter and that there is no feature with him singing. Ryan had this to say about it: “I’ve heard a few tunes and I was floored. It’s the coolest **** that’s going to drop in 2020. Trust me, it’s taking everything in me to not blurt it out because the song I was lucky enough to be apart of is a true unicorn song. It’s a bucket list for me and when it comes out, you’ll understand why. BloodPop is very forward-thinking and progressive. I’m super stoked. [Gaga] took her time and she’s killing it. I think she’s going to give a lot of people what they want.” Are you guys here for this, or do you think it'll be basic?
