JoJo released a music video for "What U Need," a WHEW she cut up a rug "What U Need" is one of the new tracks off JoJo's forthcoming Deluxe edition of Good To Know, out August 28th. JoJo's new album Good To Know is one of my favorite records of the year. She just released a music video for "Small Things," which is one of the stand-out tracks of the album. It's SUCH a gem. In the video, JoJo captures magic in a bottle. Literally. Inside one of the bottles is the spirit and essence of a strong black man, which I appreciate considering the times we're in right now. It's an important message of worthiness and inclusivity. It ends with the quote: "The function of freedom is to try to free someone else." Thoughts on JoJo's new clip? Besides that it's flawless? -
I think it's funny when sites review full-length albums right after their release. I've found that a body of work, like JoJo's new album Good To Know, takes shape after some time and several listens. One of the shiniest gems to emerge from the album for me is "Think About You." JoJo's runs are effortless, but stunning. The keys melt over her smooth sonic sound as she confesses her heartache. She paints a sad story about trying to move on, but can't even if she tries. I don't even have an emotional story to relate to this right now, but I still feel her pain. That's an indicator of meaningful songwriting and powerful vocals. I might create a separate topic for "Don't Talk Me Down" cause it's that flawless as well. Brilliant album. Everything I needed from her. Early standouts - pedialyte, gold, small things, don’t talk me down. looking forward to the into and outro on the physical copy. Grammy nom worthy. You heard it here first.

Queen Jojo re-worked the lyrics of her hit song "Leave (Get Out)" to fit our harrowing situation. It's cute. Made me feel a lot better than all those celebs singing "Imagine." That just freaked me out. She's telling us to stay inside so y'all better listen. Just stay on Exhale. -
Jojo's new album Good to Know drops this spring. She just released on of the new tracks. It's titled "Man," a mid-tempo that finds the singer flexing her vocal chops over an untamed guitar melody and breathy backgrounds. She never disappoints. Anyone else feeling Jojo's new tune? -
Mariah Carey just wrapped up her final show for her Vegas comeback, her second residency titled Butterfly Returns, yesterday. On Mimi's Instagram, she posted a video of her hanging out backstage with our favorite queen of re-recording her iconic studio albums, JoJo. When will Taylor Swift? JoJo and Mimi, together with her background singers that includes, Trey Lorenz, Mimi's companion on the Grammy nominated and Billboard Hot 100 #1 single I'll Be There, and is a constant in Mariah's circle, sang just the background vocals to Everything Fades Away, one of the gems from her Diamond certified album, Music Box. Lucky for us Britney stans, we can relate to having a Diamond certified album. Later, JoJo would also post about the moment on her Instagram, saying she's "typing this from beyond the grave". It's safe to say she didn't make it. I mean, she did meet Mariah - Queen of Christmas. She did what she needed to do, honestly.
