  1. Madison Beer showered Ariana Grande with praise when reacting to being called a "wannabe Ariana Grande" on the Internet. “I don’t think we’re to be compared, I think we’re our own people… She’s definitely inspired me because she’s one of my idols, I love her so much… If she does something that inspires, I think that’s her goal.” "I've openly supported and loved and been a fan of Ariana's for years and years and years," Madison began. "I think she would say, and I would say, that I think she makes things and does things to inspire and that's what an artist is all about." "I think that it's a little sad and hurtful when I see so many people like, really bullying and harassing me in a lot of ways and like, taking away the legitness of anything I do," she added. "I just don’t think we're to be compared and I think that we're our own people." "She's definitely inspired me because she's one of my idols," she explained. "I love her so much, and so it makes me sad when I see people pitting us against each other when it's nothing but love." "I adore her and think that she's a ******* icon," she went on. "It's just kinda mean, and I'm my own person, and if she does something that inspires, I think that's her goal. That's what she's always said she's all about, so I don't know why there would ever be a problem with her positively impacting me or anyone else." "I think people should just stop comparing women and let them all do their thing on their own," Madison concluded. "They don't need to all be grouped in together." Thoughts, Exhale? Does Madison Beer remind you of Ariana? Stream "Dead" for clear skin.
  2. Ariana Grande released a new music video for the next single Positions single: the bedroom banger, "34+35." In case you're wondering why the numbers... they add up to 69. It's directed by Director X. Watch below. Thoughts? Related:
  3. Update 6: While mid-week predictions for Positions are for it to stay atop of the UK charts for a additional 4th week, Positions is planning already to surrender the top positions in the Billboard 200, predicted to fall to #4 due to competition in this week. Update 5: MediaTraffic Charts (The worldwide charts) has posted sales for Ariana Grande's new album, "Positions" and the numbers aren't so great.. The album debuted at #2 selling 257k copies WW, but if we were to subtract US sales, the album has sold 98k copies WW. This is a steep decline from her last years studio effort which sold 225k copies; and 585k copies in total in its first week. Meanwhile, Positons is staying second week at #1 in the US selling over 80k units with a 36% decrease in sales from its first week numbers. However, Positions has dropped to #3 in the UK Charts. Overall, Positions has so far sold 339k copies WW and does have a possibility of climbing to #1 in its second week in the Global Album Charts Top 10. Update 4: Wow...Not only did Positions fall for the 4th time below its predicted standards but dipped below everyone's interest. Positions debuted at #1 selling over 172k units in its first week. This has become Ariana's FIRST album not to outsell its predecessor, and is Ariana's third-lowest first week sales to date, selling lower than her 2016 effort Dangerous Woman which sold 178k in its first week Here are the highest debut sales of this year: Top Debuts of 2020 (SPS) Folklore by Taylor Swift - 846k Legends Never Die by Juice WRLD - 497k After Hours by The Weeknd - 444k MAP OF THE SOUL: 7 by BTS - 422k Eternal Atake by Lil Uzi Vert - 288k Music to Be Murdered By by Eminem - 279k Chromatica by Lady Gaga - 274k Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon by Pop Smoke - 251k Manic by Halsey - 239k Here and Now by Kenny Chesney - 233k Changes by Justin Bieber - 231k Dark Lane Demo Tapes by Drake - 223k No Pressure by Logic - 221k My Turn by Lil Baby - 197k YHLQMDLG by Bad Bunny - 179k Positions by Ariana Grande - 174k Positions lands in the #16 spot, nearly missing even the Top 15. Thank you, next had the 4th highest first week sales of 2019, so this is more than just a steep fall for Ariana. Artist who are not even half as popular as Ariana, such as Bad Bunny, Lil Baby, Logic, Kenny and Pop Smoke outsold Ariana Update 3: Ouch....after Thank U, Next debuted at #1 selling over 65k units, Positions tops the chart selling only 27k units in stock first week in the UK. This is a 38,000 decrease in sales from her last effort and thankfully she did not release Positions this week or else it would have debuted at #3 under Little Mix and Kylie Minougue Update 2: Its sales are just getting worser and worser. Chart data has updated it and it seems it is predicted to sell 182k. Update 1: Just when the stans thought sales would be predicted much higher Seems that Ariana Grande's new album "Positions" is still on track to debut at #1, but with 195K (versus the 240-260K prediction previously). Earlier: It has been 2-days since Ariana has released her 6th Studio effort "Positions" welcoming favorable reviews from the critics and general public, not only has it been an underwhelming listen for many fans, but is also going to welcome...quite fine sales for someone of a status of Ariana who along with Billie are the biggest popstars in the world right now... According to Hits Daily Double, the new record will be predicted to (obviously since she is Ariana) debut at #1 with only 240k-260k. Now it has just dipped to only 195k sales. These are...pretty underwhelming numbers Not only did it fall below everyone's predictions whom predicted it to sell over 300k-500k but is Ariana's first album not too outsell its predecessor in its first week. Now the sales have just reduced in prediction, only predicted to sell 195k with a #1. Gurl, even ARTPOP outsold ya. Positions is Ariana's fourth lowest first week sales. This is a 54% drop from Ariana's monstrous Thank U, Next debut which topped the charts selling a staggering 360k in the US alone. Positions is now one of the lowest selling commercial albums by a pop star in its first week. Here's a chart for reference: Here is the possible consequences for sales for an album that was highly anticipated upon release:- Overexposure:- Due to the release of Sweetener, this era and album catapulted Ariana into Main Pop-Girl Phenomena who would later release Thank U, Next...6 months after the release of her critically-acclaimed record and thus, the Thank U, Next became the peak of Ariana Grande's career, becoming the 3rd Best-Selling Album of 2019. So for a star with such immense success and fame, it is quite important to take 1-year breaks to conjure your fans and the GP to miss you, so when you release your next record, you are not over-saturated in the market. However, Ariana was still as active as she was in 2019, this year. She released more singles in which 2 were #1 Hits with JB and LG. So to release an album after such immense stardom might have started to cause people to lose interest in Ariana. Leaking:- There have been MANY albums in the past that could have been much huger if it weren't for people who could leak and share music of an album about to be release which destroys hype for ones record. And it seems Positions has become a severe victim of that. The album was leaked 3-4 days prior to its official release and spreaded like wild fire through the internet, due to everyone wanting to hear the new album. As many people too disliked the album in its first leak listen, this caused people to lose interest in the album. So what do you guys think? Disappointed? Shocked? Surprised? Lemme know Related:

  5. Ariana Grande's next single off Positions is "34+35," but it appears she's got another song up her sleeve. Apple added "pov" to their Today’s Top Hits and Apple Music’s Future Hits playlists. This is one of my favorite songs off Positions, so I'm super here for this. A winter chart topper?! We love to see it. Exhale, thoughts on "pov" getting some love? Would you prefer a different song instead? Sound off! Related:
  6. Ariana Grande doesn't think artists are going on tour until at least 2022. In a new interview, Ariana was asked whether touring is on her mind right now or not. "I don't see it as a possibility. I wouldn’t feel safe, and I don’t want to put my fans in danger," she said. "No one knows what they're doing. The way this pandemic is being handled... who knows. I don't see it in the cards." She adds she just got off tour last year, and liked doing two albums in a row then touring. But a Positions followup won't be soon. "It's not as a safe time... It's not realistic. I don't know why people are pretending their tours are going to happen right now. They're like, ~delaying till the summer~ and I'm like, 'yeah, good luck.' Check it out below. I actually think this is super wise and am excited for another new album
  7. Doja Cat rapped what appears to be her scrapped verse on Ariana Grande's next single, "34+35." Doja Cat appears on "Motive" instead. Fans suspect maybe it has something to do with the Tekashi lyric? This kinda slaps. Thoughts, Exhale? Photo cred
  8. Hey Exhale, I had a really interesting experience with Ariana Grande's new album Positions. At first, I didn't like it and compared it to Sweetener, but the more I listened to it... the more I could distinguish between the two and started to really grow fond of Positions (though I still don't like Sweetener at all tbh). Instead of just doing a straight up album review, I decided to take reviews already posted on the Internet from places like Pitchfork, Vulture, Slant, i-D and even Exhale's review from @Albert Aspera, and gave my take on them whether I agreed or disagreed. I'm curious whether you agree with me or not. Or maybe you disliked Positions, but my video showed you it in a new light and now you like it more. Would LOVE to know your thoughts! Hopefully this is a nice distraction from the election anxiety. And if you haven't already, PLEASE subscribe to my channel, LIKE this video and leave a comment on it! It helps the BH channel grow. 🙏 Enjoy! Related:
  9. "Trapped." (two minute read) Within the span of three years [2018-2020] Grande has accomplished any recent female artists would've done, releasing three albums consecutively. And today, she delivered her newest offering in follow-up to her side jobs with Bieber and Gaga, to named a few of her collaborators. The sixth installment of Grande's brand kicked off with the release of title track single, positions. It introduces a sultry take of God is a woman, while dressed up as the first lady of the White House for appropriation. Sonically, the lead song follows the acoustic elements of Stuck With U. And between the two, positions is obviously the underdog. The obvious influences of hip-hop genre to Grande has became prominent overtime. While the trap sound is gradually becoming the new pop trend, the overused of these style and production are what the album's greatest issues. Most of the tracks end up having a very similar sound. And although the production is ambitiously mixed with other instrumentations, that effort is not not enough to rescue the potential bangers; shut up and love language for example. As Grande started to drawn herself into songwriting and self-producing, positions demonstrates the lack of progressive direction. Most tracks share identical songwriting style and analogies of being too conversational. The absence of depth and figurative topics make the album's narrative less enjoyable despite the insightful opening tracks. Even the use of vile words sound rushed, and generalizing a very ridiculous idea. The production efforts with some of the tracks exceptionally stand out, but the lyrics are too off-putting to reconsider them as bangers. shut up and my hair embrace this common flaw, and both share an awkward hook: How you been spending your time? (How?) How you be using your tongue? (How?) You be so worried 'bout mine (Mine) Can't even get yourself none You know you sound so dumb (So dumb, so dumb) You know you sound so dumb (So dumb) (lyrics taken from "shut up") Grande's enunciation is one of her signatures. And despite the severity of mumbling, it surprisingly suits the some of the tracks such as 34+35, just like magic and nasty, heightening the swag-gy and playful attitudes. Still, the subtlety of her pronunciation is one of the things she has to improve regardless. Moreover, some of the tracks still manage to showcase greater potentials; like the closing ballad, pov, a reminder of Grande's soaring vocal abilities that's missing in the album, and the flirtatious take to 7 rings, 34+35, that implies a chant-y and clever chorus. Disappointingly, she has failed to redeem herself from the featured track's disaster since the Sweetener era. Like the monotonous attempt of the Weeknd's off the table, and the predictable rap verse of Cat, motive ends up one of those urban songs. safety net shares a different light though, arguably one of the best tracks but featured a wrong collaborator. The lack of theme also makes the record indistinctive. Take the kinky and **** appeal of Dangerous Woman, the recovery and healing of Sweetener, and the romantic frustrations of thank u, next. positions' somewhat started with another **** attempt she's been doing over the years. It has no identity or story to begin with, to captivate it's listeners. Grande is probably at the point of comforting herself to a follow up, instead of finding a progressive sound. It isn't a bad thing at all, reinventing artistic image is not a requirement for any artists to be interesting. Some artists have a more tentative core, while others are conventional. In general, releasing positions is a very brave decision to follow up thank, u next, considering how big her fifth album has become. It's probably not a highlight in her career, but still a tolerating gift to those who enjoy her discography. Btw, here's my personal ranking of each tracks: 1. positions 2. 34+35 3. pov 4. safety net 5. just like magic 6. nasty 7. west side 8. love language 9. six thirty 10. obvious 11. motive 12. my hair 13. shut up 14. off the table positions: 4/10 These are just my thoughts, but y'all think of the album? 10. Update: Positions is officially out! Earlier: The album has leaked and is circulating online, thoughts on the album if you've listened? Are you going to wait until it's officially released or? Please do not share any links in the thread.
  11. Update 2: It's official! Ariana Grande's new single "Positions" opens up at #1 on the Hot 100. Update: Luke Combs somehow got the heads up that his new song "Forever After All" did not take the #1 spot on the Hot 100 this week. He doesn't confirm that Ariana Grande's lead single "Positions" does, but it's safe to assume it will. We'll have to wait for Billboard to release their report on Sunday. Congrats, Ari! Earlier: Country singer Luke Combs is asking fans to purchase his new single "Forever After All" and help it hit #1. By doing so, it also blocks Ariana Grande's new single "Positions" from debuting atop the Hot 100, something Arianators are mad about. So mad in fact, that they're spamming Luke's Tweets with links to buy "Positions." They even dug up an old picture of him performing with a Confederate flag sticker on his guitar. The sabotage Luke may very well beat Ari. His new song already outperformed Ari's on iTunes. He actually had a handful of songs off his just-released album, What You See Ain't Always What You Get, make the Top 10 in iTunes. Stream "Positions" y'all.
  12. Ariana Grande ruthlessly dragged the name "Arianators" in the thank you notes section of her new album Positions. The way she spilled but didn't even need to Why is this sending me Related:

  14. "A less earworm but a great grower." (one minute read) The Manchester Arena Bombing has successfully shaken not just the public security against terrorism, but as well the artistic image of Ariana Grande. Ever since her musical debut back in 2013, Grande has been struggling to establish her figure as one of the new pop heirs. And in follow-up to her 2016's third full-length record, Dangerous Woman, Grande has distanced herself from the black & white persona, projecting a more uplifting side of her spectrum. While Sweetener favored by critics, earning a staggering 81/100 Metacritic score, most people shared different insights towards the album. Even some noted that the production is messy, muddled and too tentative. And despite the obvious influences of the mainstream producers, Martin and Williams to named a few, the album is surprisingly contained a throwback and distant productions. Sweetener is easily a less earworm but a great grower. The repetitive vocal backdrops instead of using the usual electro or instrumental synths are widely demonstrated in almost half of the record, take blazed, R.E.M, sweetener, successful and borderline as examples. This style is a smart tactic to keep the track sounds busy while retaining the intended impression. It is actually similar to the reggae and hip-hop structures that were widely used back in 2000's, and early 2010's. Even the redundancy of the light is coming and no tears left to cry's lyrical contents still managed to stand out. It isn't the tracks mentioned don't have the "catchiness", but hearing their lyrics in repeat makes the listeners unconsciously remembering the song itself. A very common pop trick, and Cry About It Later by Katy Perry is one of the great examples. While having a featured artist is most album's big gun, that isn't the case with Sweetener. blazed and borderline somewhat have their own potentials, but came off lesser and considerately like fillers. The chill and laid-back production don't help either to make these tracks prominent. Moreover, 2018 wasn't really a good year for pure pop so there is no established sound or bars for Grande to begin with. Conclusively, this is probably the album from Grande that I thoroughly enjoyed and genuinely listen regularly. And if I will rank each tracks, 1 being the song I enjoyed the most and 15 is the least. This will be the list: 1. no tears left to cry 2. everytime 3. R.E.M 4. successful 5. goodnight n' go 6. God is a woman 7. blazed 8. get well soon 9. pete davidson 10. the light is coming 11. sweetener 12. breathin' 13. raindrops (an angel cried) 14. borderline 15. better off Sweetener: 7/10 These are just my thoughts, what about yours?
  15. So hear me out ya'll. We've all heard the Positions leak, and we're all obviously disappointed, me probably the most, I had a legit meltdown What if Ariana set up a trap for hackers and leakers? What if she uploaded a fake album filled with unfinished demos that last 2:30 each just to get rid of leakers and make sure they stop searching for the real deal? What if that insider is actually right and that is the real album? Obviously this is 99% not the case, but a gay can dream, so let me be Feel free to join me so we can fantasize together because I'm still in disbelief that she's actually releasing this album
  16. So nearly everyone here who’s heard the new album has called it average and disappointing. If you were Ariana, what would you do right now? Do you think she can still scrap it and promise an album next year as to not disappoint her fans? Related:
  17. Ariana Grande released the lead single of her sixth studio album "positions" almost two days ago on Friday, October 23rd and stan twitter claims the song is underperforming. Here's why it's not. Positions debuted with 7.6 MILLION discounted streams worldwide with 2.8M of them being in the United States. While that IS good, arianators seem to think otherwise. People are comparing Grande's biggest hit to date, 7 rings, to positions and it's already being deemed a flop. This is actually a pattern I've noticed with other artists as well; every song Lady Gaga dropped was compared to her biggest hits such as "Poker face", "Bad Romance", "Alejandro" and "Born This Way'. ARTPOP was considered a flop and "Applause" was a commercial failure. However, one of the reasons positions is considered a flop despite not even being released 48 hours earlier is because of the low youtube views and low sales. Keep in mind western artists have started to decline on youtube so this isn't a bad thing & billboard recently stopped counting bundles which was a tactic used by many artists in the past to gain sales and debut at number one. Also, country singer Luke Combs is currently blocking Ariana from the #1 spot on US iTunes. Positions is also predicted to debut at number on the hot 100 with 350 points. So, what do you think? Is positions underperforming so far? Related:

  20. I work at the art direction department in republic records and recently got access to an early version of the tracklist of Ariana Grande’s upcoming album (known by fans as AG6) Here it goes: clouds nasty Venus as a boy sweatshirt body language love boy (feat. doja cat) aphrodite far gone / head over heels behind the scenes starlight here is some additional info: • "clouds" is about ariana’s struggles with anxiety during quarentine. • “Venus as a boy” is a cover of icelandic singer bjork’s signature song. ariana reimagined it as a R&B track with trap influences • "behind the scenes" is a ballad where ariana expresses her frustrations about people seeing artists as idols, not as human beings. it reminds me of mariah carey's "looking in" • a video for the lead single was already recorded and is being planned to be released sometime around the coming weeks. • the doja cat collab is being considered as a single I was originally intending to share this on Reddit, but they deleted the post of several sub-reddits. But i will be posting new information on my reddit page, maybe even sharing snippets! Related:

They make “democracy delicious by delivering free food for all to polling places with long lines.” I love me some pizza, but what about sending over some vegetable platters sis. Also, people are going to have to take their mask off to eat the pizza, so lil problematic, but her heart was in the right place. Related:
