  1. Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande breathed new life into their #1 collab, "Rain On Me." There's a "Purple Disco Machine" remix that's four-minutes long. If you like it, there's an extended six and a half minute version as well. It feels like a lifetime ago since they released the music video, but I'm happy to see there's some new energy with em. Like em?
  2. I recently had a conversation with my friend who is a Taylor stan about Gaga vs Taylor Swift discography. I am an admitted Gaga Stan since 2009 but I was able to say I prefer to listen to Taylor's discography more often. I find Taylor's discography more listenable from start to finish, melodically, etc. It is an easier listen. There are a few Gaga albums that are largely unlistenable to me (some of Artpop & Joanne), but there are some major Gaga tracks that go much "further" on impact than anything Taylor has ever put out, such as Bad Romance, Edge of Glory, Rain on Me, Shallow, etc etc etc, that make up for this shortcoming. Though I mostly prefer Taylor's discography as a whole, I am still a Gaga over Taylor stan because of Gaga's vocal ability, constant advocacy for LGBTQIA+ for her entire career, personality, strong and provocative songwriting, etc. I believe Gaga has built a much stronger legacy/impact than Taylor as of now. What do you think? Is there even a comparison to be had between the two? What is Taylor's legacy vs Gaga?
  3. I listened to BTW by Lady Gaga for the first time. I like it! The Edge of Glory and Judas are the best songs. My ranking (This was difficult): 001 The Edge of Glory ~ 10 002 Judas ~ 10 003 Marry the Night ~ 9.6 004 Hair ~ 9.5 005 Bloody Mary ~ 9.3 006 Born This Way ~ 9 007 Electric Chapel ~ 9 008 Heavy Metal Lover ~ 8.9 009 Black Jesus + Amen Fashion ~ 8.7 010 ScheiBe ~ 8.5 011 Government Hooker ~ 8 012 Highway Unicorn ~ 7.7 013 Americano ~ 7.5 014 The Queen ~ 7.2 015 Yoü and I ~ 7 016 Fashion of His Love ~ 6.5 017 Bad Kids ~ 6 My Ranking Of ARTPOP: Don’t judge me too much.
  4. Lady Gaga's new commercial for Valentino’s perfume Voce Viva is out, and it's stunning. Some press release jargon for ya: “Lady Gaga means freedom, self-consciousness, pure heart,” said Valentino fashion house’s creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli. “Her participation in this campaign elevates the symbolic power of the project to the highest level. “She is the icon of a generation. Her message of freedom, passion for art, self-consciousness and equality is the same [as what] our Valentino community stands for.” Gaga had this to say: “Be yourself, love who you are and never give up on your dreams.” Are YOU buying it? Regardless of what it smells like? Cause... take all my money queen. Related:
  5. So I’ve noticed something interesting under Lady Gaga’s tweet about Britney’s dad’s barbeque in 2014. I suppose she talks about our Britney since they met at the backstage of POM that year. Any duct tape as well?? The fact that this happened 4 years before the whole #FreeBritney movement. I felt like I had to share it here. Should I delete the post in case they make him delete the tweet? Should we get screenshots? Is the tweet even useful for Britney’s case? Who’s even Jeff Raymond? A time traveller from 2018 or something? Too much for my cute little mind
  6. Many of you know about the scrapped album “Artpop Act II”. For those who don’t know, here’s a video about it: Brooklyn Nights could’ve been on that album and I think that if it was a first single of the scrapped album, it could’ve been a hit, even maybe a #1 hit. Also Princess Die is rumoured to be on the album. Do you think that Artpop Act II could’ve been more successful than the original Artpop if it was released. Also in sales and charts, how do you think it would’ve done.
  7. Rolling Stone says Dua Lipa's hit Future Nostalgia track "Don't Start Now" and Doja Cat's #1 hit "Say So" inspired Lady Gaga's new album Chromatica. They published a piece with interviews from songwriter Emily Warren, Ian Kirkpatrick and Caroline Ailin (all of whom worked on Future Nostalgia). They opened up about the revived disco sound that's heavily influenced again in today's pop music, including Dua and Doja Cat's music. Cue Chromatica, which taps into disco's lovechild of '90s house. What Rolling Stone didn't mention is that Gaga worked on Chromatica for years prior to Dua and Doja releasing their music. Gaga also released a cover of disco banger "I Want Your Love" with Nile Rodgers in 2016. So Exhale, what do you think? Did Dua and Doja inspire Gaga? Or was it the other way around? Related:
  8. We all have been bullied at one point in our existence. As a gay man who was out by the sixth grade in '96... if you say you weren't I'm calling you a liar. But none of us had a Facebook group that basically said the dream we wanted wouldn't happen. Lady Gaga had a secret, private group on Facebook called "Stefani Germanotta, you will never be famous." Even in high school she was already bullied. It's no secret she was on one of the hottest tv shows at the time, The Sopranos, which added fuel to the fire. I went back to the group. The title didn't change, but the group's motto did "J/K we love you lady gaga" So Stefani's biggest revenge did indeed happen she became famous.
  9. With just four weeks in the top ten, what seemed to be a hit sure backfired. Little Monsters and Gaga herself are used to seeing Gaga stay in the top ten for a month or two. Even Joanne lasted longer in the top ten. Fans and the press are wondering if Gaga should have waited until she could properly promote an album like Chromatica. It's definitely becoming her first bona fide flop in the US. Even "Rain On Me" wasn't the hit that was expected despite debuting at #1. It's also sad that she is no longer the main pop girl, and in this current generation she is out of touch. Maybe a hip hop trap album would have been more successful than 90s dance pop?
  10. I got bored so I decided to listen to ARTPOP by Lady Gaga. And it’s not that bad! MANiCURE and Applause are the best songs, hand down Followed by Sexxx Dreams, Gypsy, and Jewels N’ Drugs. My Ranking: 01 Applause ~ 11 02 MANiCURE ~ 10 03 Sexxx Dreams ~ 9.8 04 Gypsy ~ 9.5 05 Do What You Want ~ 9.1 06 Dope ~ 9 07 Jewels N’ Drugs ~ 9 08 Mary Jane Holland ~ 8.8 09 GUY ~ 8.6 10 Swine ~ 8.4 11 ARTPOP ~ 8.3 12 Fashion! ~ 8.2 13 Donatella ~ 8.1 14 Venus ~ 8 15 Aura ~ 5 What do you guys think? How would you rank ARTPOP? EDIT: Added DWYW

  12. Considering how long cascada song has been out still a better song than fun tonight
  13. After Nicki Minaj teased Pink Friday 2, I started listening to Pink Friday and it's truly iconic and her flow on it is impeccable. It got me thinking that she neesd to collaborate with Lady Gaga ASAP! She literally collabed with every main musical act: Britney, Christina, Madonna, Katy, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Ariana, Mariah, Avril, Alicia Keys, Ciara, Fergie, Drake, Eminem, Bieber, Chris Brown, Kanye, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, The Weeknd, Will.i.am, David Guetta, Usher and many more hip-hop & pop acts including Cardi, Trina, Foxy, Megan & Doja. How come she hasn't collaborated with Gaga? Maybe because the media tried to compare their unique style in the past? It's been a decade - we need a 911/Alice/Plastic Doll remix with the Queen! Do you agree? Is there an icon she hasn't collabed with (Adele ?) Related:
  14. Chromatica is hands down Lady GaGa’s WORST album (and I hated Joanne...so that’s saying something). The songs are all over the place, yet all sound the same...the album should be called oxymoronica. (For the record, I am a GaGa fan, but no longer a stan like I was during TFM). Most of the production on Chromatica sounds dated and would’ve been current circa 2013-2016 when the skrillex (Where are you now) type sound was all over the radio. On Chromatica, it just comes off as dated. Also, as beautiful as Lady Gaga’s voice is, I think she spends most of the album screaming at us rather than giving us harmonies. Another thing that kills the album are the 3 unnecessary interludes. Nobody asked for that and nobody is listening to them. “Stupid Love” was a terrible song and a terrible choice for the lead single (I’m disappointed Max Martin even had a part in that 💩). The writing on most of the songs is terrible. If Britney Jean Spears released “sour candy” as a solo single, exhale would’ve dragged her to the depths of hell. If Selena Gomez or Katy Perry released “plastic doll” or “911”, exhale would’ve dragged them to the depths of hell. Most of the songs on this album are terrible, but because it’s GaGa, nobody is saying it. Everyone hated “artpop”, but that album was FAR better than Chromatica. The writing on artpop was creative. Everything on Chromatica sounds like “a, b, c, 1, 2, 3”. Now, in a plot twist, “Rain on Me” is one of the best songs she’s ever released. I think her voice sounds gorgeous on the track (this is the only song where she isn’t screaming), I think the writing is creative, and I think the video is stunning. I also like “1000 doves” 🕊 In conclusion, I want more “rain on me” and less “sour candy”. Does anyone think Chromatica is her best work?
  15. Rina Sawayama released a cover of Lady Gaga's "Dance in the Dark," a song featured on Gaga's 2009 album The Fame Monster. Rina's version is far more dreamy than Gaga's intergalactic dance-floor banger, however she managed to capture the magic of the original. It's got a vibey, '80s-tinged production to soundtrack Rina's airy vocals. Her “Dance In The Dark” cover is being released as part of Spotify’s Pride Singles series. Give it a spin below. Thoughts, Exhale? Do you like Rina's version? Related:
  16. Gaga is on another level when it comes to creatively writing emotional but fun pop music and she also uses great word play. So many #Chromatica songs are relatable to Britney. Alice, Free Women, Fun Tonight, 911, Plastic Doll, (imagine a video with a Lucky continuation) Replay, even Babylon. Then you add Danja who is a master at putting raw emotion into his production. I’d be here for other writers and producers but I’d die if they were executive producers alongside Brit. She needs creatives with depth for B10. I can’t begin to imagine the slayage of these three working together. One can wish.
  17. Lady Gaga's "Alice" is a low sampling of Madonna's "Nothing Really Matters" in my opinion. Give both a listen and see the similarities:
  18. I'm not crying you're crying. Lady Gaga wished Ariana Grande a happy birthday today. The little legend turned 27-years-old today. "For going on a voyage with me that at some point we thought we’d never see," Gaga said. "So many laughs, so many tears...for so many years. And then...friendship. I love you gurl. Happy Birthday from bottom of our broken and healed hearts💜 you’re a fighter, through every storm." Super cute Related:
  19. Lady Gaga and Paper magazine threw a #Chromatica fundrager tonight. Basically, fans jump on a Zoom and club it together at home. Proceeds went to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute. They defend and protect the human rights of Black transgender and gender non-conforming people. The live stream was low-key but lit Some Little Monsters were doing poppers. You down to rage, Exhale?
  20. Time to talk radio had a guest, Madonna Super fan Albie Andujar. Basically has nothing positive to say about her. Saying she hides behind being a victim, I'm being bullied and such horrible things. He also touched Do what U want how in 2013 Gaga praised R. KELLY, BUT IN 2019, changed her whole mind. @Jordan Miller @Roxxy They also touch the ****** incident from early 2010's.
  21. In line of what's probably gonna be cancelled the summer brief 3 city tour, Gaga is making Chromatica into a Visual film, which From hearing the album. It just makes sense, it's an album that deserves a visual treatment the way it completely connects from one track to another. I'm here for it, Are you guys here For Chromatica: The Movie.
  22. Hi Exhale, it's DJ White Shadow (DJWS). I'm participating in an AMA here on Wednesday, June 24 at 2 pm PST. You may know me from my work as a producer and songwriter on Lady Gaga's Born This Way, ARTPOP and the A Star Is Born soundtrack. I've also released three EPs: I'm Killing Me, '***** Drugs Fear & The Clock Is Ticking. Go ahead and ask me anything and I'll be back on Wednesday at 2 to begin answering. Update: DJ White Shadow's responses below:
  23. Lady Gaga posted a graphic with the quote "All music is black music." #BlackMusicMatters I think she's saying instead of genres like R&B and urban, it's just music. That all genres were inspired by black music. Thoughts?
  24. The fact that this post even says it's 2020, you can't even ask Billie eilish or Ariana grande this question at all, But like people pointed out, nobody was like her when she first began, she had artists like Rihanna, Beyoncé and Katy Perry go to weird girl status during this era, Just look at Rated R era photos and you will see just how much she impacted the industry.
  25. Chromatica has proven to be a huge success, even with the very little promo it's recieving. The album is holding strong at #2 this week with 44,000 SPS units this week. Total units is at 382,000, if gaga keeps performing the way Chromatica is. She will be Gold in a few weeks. Platinum possibly by the end of Fall. We all Know Rain on me is dying fast on the hot 100, in my opinion Gaga and her team should focus more on the album, less on the singles. GAGA IS an album artist, and it's showing still. I kinda saw it this way, the way the whole album has no stops and it all easily cross fades across the 16 tracks. I'll be doing my part and ordering the milky clear vinyl tomorrow. Congrats gaga on the album's success.
