  1. Queen of knowing her audience. Queen of marketing. Queen of earning that coint. Lady Gaga is selling some pretty epic Chromatica merchandise bundles. Each item includes a digital copy of the album. Since she can't sell tour tickets with the album, this will have to do. Merch includes: Shirts Sweatpants Hats Socks Bandanas Pillows Tote bags Underwear Thongs Jockstraps It's actually pretty brilliant because I just know so many of gays are gonna just throw our hard-earned stimulus money at her. I was this close to impulsively buying the underwear. Are any of you going to purchase some of the merch? We're gonna need receipts of how it fits
  2. The Met Gala in 2019 was one for the books! Lady Gaga was a bit of an exhibitionist when she made her grand appearance at the event on May 6, 2019 (which feels like a lifetime ago). She continually stripped off her clothing while hamming it up for the cameras. It was pretty epic and deserves a day on Exhale's Pop Anniversaries calendar. Check out the epic video at the event date below: If you haven't already, please add to Exhale's calendar! It's been super fun to enjoy these daily walks down memory lane each day. In a year or two from now we could have events filled out for every day. How fun would that be! Btw, each event you add to the calendar earns you 20 Points that can go towards your Exhale+ subscription or buying an item in the store. New items are coming soon Anyone else still remembering Gaga's performance at the Met Gala?
  3. Lady gaga has a wide range of idols. The more theatrical and musically gifted musicians embraced her. While the only pop icons to embrace her were the Jackson's.. Club queen weirdo Grace Jones was one of the first to give negative feedback saying she can't see her soul. Madonna staryed with initial praise and Attending concers. But the born this way song really did her in. Many critics speculate it was that moment when gaga started second guessing herself. When both Madonna and Whitney attacked her back to back. Then Boy George did to. Calling Five foot two a carbon copy of In bed with Madonna (known outside the US where it's Madonna: Truth or dare). David bowie and his son weren't fans. Many do believe that Cheek to Cheek and Joanne happened cos pop music really gave her a backlash with her idols and Artpop being trashed. Read the reviews of that album. Many noted they focused more on gaga as a person and less about music. Someone pointed out. It's a miracle you can hear gaga's latest album while the knives are sharpening to stab her metaphorically speaking. Gaga contemplated retirement in 2014. But Tony Bennett basically reassured her that she had a gift to the world that was needed.
  4. Adele said at her best friend’s wedding party in February people can expect her fourth studio album in September. Her makeup artist just posted something hinting at her return... it could be sooner than we expected. "Exciting news coming soon!! Get ready to get on board,” he wrote. Imagine Adele releasing before Gaga
  5. Lady Gaga was forced to reveal the Chromatica tracklist today after Target posted it ahead of schedule. BloodPop, who's executive producing it, then re-posted the image and tagged a bunch of the producers featured on the record. There's a bunch of heavy hitters on Chromatica. Interestingly, SOPHIE was not tagged. She was rumored to have worked on the record. Thoughts on the power house producers list?! Bloodpop Max Martin Rami Yacoub Boys Noize Ely Rise Tom Norris Skrillex Madeon Burns Axwell Justin Tranter Ryan Tedder Madison Emiko Love Liohn Nija Benjamin Rice WhiteSea Music Klahr JKash
  6. Well as soon as "Rain On Me" was announced... the LA Times basically said to the current pop generation that Gaga is the queen of pop and Ariana is the princess of pop....replacing the 00s version of queen and Princess Madonna and Britney. Citing while both are legends, they literally failed to get a hit. LA asked when was the last time anybody outside the two fanbases even asked: hey let's stream Madonna or Britney? Radio doesn't play Britney that much compared to her contemporaries Justin Timberlake or the Backstreet boys, who scored one of their biggest radio hits a couple years ago with "Don't Go Breaking My Heart." Also, Britney fans are the early millennials which means like half her fans are turning 40 in the next few years... which already tells you that they don't matter anymore. The current generation, people 11-21-years-old, have more streaming power. Britney and Madonna fans prefer to buy than stream. Tragic if you ask me, but hey that's aging and the difference of generations for you. Out with the old and in with the new?
  7. HANA, who frequently collaborates with Grimes, and is the girlfriend of producer Bloodpop, said in a live stream that Gaga and Bloodop are aware of the Chromatica leaks, and they're trying to figure out what to do. She also added that they're all upset and annoyed about it. In case you've been living under a rock, Chromatica is slowly spilling onto the Internet and has from the very start. The record was originally meant to drop April 10th, but Gaga postponed it because of the pandemic. You may recall "Stupid Love" leaked a month in advance. Then Gaga's album cover surfaced ahead of schedule, as did her tracklist and clips of new songs "Free Woman," "Babylon" (perhaps titled something else on the album or not included at all) and her Ariana Grande-assisted song, "Rain On Me." It's easy for Little Monsters to demand that Gaga release the album now, but if she has a certain vision in mind and can't execute it because of social distancing... I can understand her reservations. However, I also see the other side: the world is hurting right now and Gaga's new music could uplift millions of people who are going through a hard time. I think she should release it in the very near future and worry about promo later / participate in promo that's not the typical televised performance. Look how many people tuned into 'One World.' 270 million! She could easily think of something creative to promote Chromatica. Thoughts, Exhale? Should Gaga release the album or not?
  8. Ariana Grande caught wind of the LA Times' quote that essentially called Lady Gaga the new queen of pop, and how she chose Ariana as her princess. They also low-key claimed that they replace Madonna and Britney as our pop royalty. I posted about it on BH's Instagram and the comments exploded. Ariana said it made her cry. Looks like she accepts the crown!
  9. Mother Monster has arrived! Gaga just dropped her new song, "Stupid Love," one month after the unofficial version surfaced – they sound identical. While promoting the new tune, Gaga sneakily placed the word Chromatica on her marketing material. Little Monsters suspected that was the album title, and they're right. Gaga confirmed the title in a Tweet and the "Stupid Love" music video. She also opened up about the forthcoming album in a new interview with Zane Lowe. Chromatica drops April 10. "The symbol for Chromatica has a sine wave in it, which is the mathematical sy
  10. TABS! Lady Gaga's star power remains immense. Her 'One World' special, an effort to raise morale and money to fight COVID, was a success. 270 million people worldwide tuned in, according to Deadline. Showbiz411 thinks it did just alright. "On ABC the two hour average was 5 million, just as it was on NBC. On CBS it was a little lower, just above 4 million. A huge hit? For network TV, if it were all on one channel, yes. Spread out among the three, not so much." They also say the demos were low numbers for young people, very high for over 50. Funny. Cause here are some more receipts: The special aired across 60 global broadcast networks, nine major digital platforms and hundreds of affiliates, across more than 175 countries. According to Nielsen, the U.S. estimated 20.7 million viewers tuned into the two-hour broadcast special across multiple networks including ABC, NBC, ViacomCBS Networks, The CW, and iHeartMedia. According to Alphonso data, 45% of all live TV viewers in the U.S. tuned into the special.Apparently, things faired better online, with 46 million live streams. 23 million from Facebook, 16 million is Youtube and 7 million from Twitter Live. All in all, Gaga reportedly helped raise $127 million. Did YOU tune in? Thoughts on the ratings?
  11. In light of the pandemic, Lady Gaga delayed her new album, Chromatica. However, since the start, bits and pieces of it have leaked onto the Internet, including lead single "Stupid Love," the cover art and even her performance at 'One World.' The tracklist also hit the net ahead of schedule. It's featured on Target.com. It features Ariana Grande, BLACKPINK and Elton John. Thoughts? Chromatica tracklist: 1. Chromatica I 2. Alice 3. Stupid Love 4. Rain On Me (featuring Ariana Grande) 5. Free Woman 6. Fun Tonight 7. Chromatica II 8. 911 9. Plastic Doll 10. Sour Candy (featuring BLACKPINK) 11. Enigma 12. Replay 13. Chromatica III 14. Sine From Above (featuring Elton John) 15. 1000 Doves 16. Babylon Bonus tracks: 17. Love Me Right 18. 1000 doves (Piano Demo) 19. Stupid Love (Warehouse Mix)
  12. Wendy Williams talks about Lady Gaga's new romantic relationship with her boyfriend Michael Polsanky. "Do you know who that is? He's some sort of real smart guy. Like, money, and smarts, good education... everything opposite of what Gaga is." She also calls Gaga a master diva. The way Wendy's marriage blew up into smithereens and doing her talk show from her home while Gaga is out there raising millions for COVID relief I- Thoughts on the drag?
  13. Lady Gaga released "Alejandro" 10 years ago today. The song is iconic and one of my favorite releases from Mama Monster ever. Gaga dedicated it to her the LGBTQ community. "To be gay and live openly in this society requires tremendous strength... I admire it and envy it in some ways," she said. Do we have any Alejandro fans in Exhale? Ugh such a masterpiece.
  14. The way MIA snapped on social media lately I- She posted this caption about harassing your inner power... then the very next photo is how her album Matangi is better than Gaga's ARTPOP, Miley's Bangerz or Katy Perry's Prism. I have to laugh. Is Matangi better than the Trinity she mentioned?
  15. WHO and Lady Gaga organized a special benefit concert called One World Together At Home, a global special that will be seen and heard across major broadcast and cable networks and digital music providers April 18. It's main mission is to raise awareness to fight the Coronavirus pandemic. There is no call for people to donate because Gaga and co. have already raised millions. She asks that people simply enjoy the show. Artists that joined Gaga on the music lineup include Paul McCartney, Elton John, Billie Eilish and Finneas, Lizzo, Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Chris Martin, Eddie Vedder, Kacey Musgraves, J Balvin, Keith Urban, Alanis Morissette, Lang Lang, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Joe Armstrong, Burna Boy and Maluma. As well as Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez, Sam Smith and more. 16. Lady Gaga, Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, and Lang Lang closed out the 'One World' special with a performance of "The Prayer." The harmonies in the end Gaga did such an incredible job putting this together.
  17. Lady Gaga co-curated an amazing lineup of performers to sing songs to help spread positivity. There's an official Exhale thread on it here. Gaga covered Nat King Cole's "Smile." It was posted on the Global Citizen website. Do you love it?
  18. Lady Gaga put Chromatica on hold to focus on healing the world amidst this pandemic. We don't know the album's tracklist just yet, however it could feature a song titled "Last Call For Alcohol." Little Monsters discovered she registered the track on a music publishing website. It's co-written with Toby Gad (John Legend's "All of Me," "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie and "If I Were a Boy" by Beyoncé). Can't wait to wallow away my tears playing Gaga's Chromatica ballad. Stream Lush for Life.
  19. Exhale, help me understand. Lady Gaga's new song "Stupid Love" is already out of the Top 200 on Spotify in the US (source). I am actually pretty shocked about that. The song is a BOP! But it appears the GP is not here for it. They like A Star Is Bornga better. It's not all bad though. It's sitting at #32 on the Hot 100 six weeks in. It debuted at #5. Why did Stupid Love not perform better? Can someone explain why they think it didn't have mainstream success?
  20. The judas video premiering on Easter weekend in 2011 was very controversial. Even Katy Perry said some comments that religion isn't made for mockery. But scroll down the thread. Ariana grande's God Is a woman was shaded and dragged for being the Wal mart version of Judas. Ouch!!!!!!
  21. Demi Lovato lands in the new issue of Harper's Bazaar. You can check out the new photographs here. She also revealed she's not friends with Selena Gomez. Well, Demi at least at some kind things to say about my faves Britney and Gaga. DID SHE LIE?
  22. Lady Gaga continues her philanthropic efforts with the ongoing pandemic by publicly putting pressure on world leaders, including France's president Emmanuel Macron, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and Canada's prime minster Justin Trudeau. She's asking them for support to help battle the devastating Coronavirus. After reportedly raising $90 million and continuing, Gaga continues to pursue more opportunities. It's interesting she has not yet addressed Trump, who's inability to act before the virus ravaged the country will go down in history. Gaga recently made headlines for addressing inequality between the ultra rich like her and the other 99%, specifically the phrase "we're all in this together." “While I think the sentiment is nice, I also think that the fight that I’m in — or that you’re in, right? — is very different than the fight of a woman that is in, perhaps, an abusive relationship and has a child and lost her job and can’t feed her kid and can’t feed herself and also can’t get the help that she needs because she’s in a violent situation,” she said. Thoughts?
  23. The New York Times wrote an article about how Gaga pushed Beyonce out of her cookie-cutter pop persona with the iconic "Telephone" music video. "Post-“Single Ladies” but still years away from the avant-garde image reinvention that was her 2013 self-titled visual album, “Telephone” gave Beyoncé one of her earliest opportunities to get weird. Though it’s hard to imagine now, at the turn of the last decade, Beyoncé was still seen as a risk-averse, play-by-the-rules pop perfectionist." Do you agree? Did Gaga take Beyonce out of her comfort zone artistically for the first time in Bey's career? It does appear Beyonce stepped up her game after this collab. Agree or nah? Here's the full excerpt:
  24. I think the overwhelming majority of people think Lady Gaga's new Chromatica album cover is a SERVE. There's so much attention to detail in it, so if you're on the fence about the art... check out how much TLC went into its creation. The Chromatica symbol Gaga is trapped underneath it. Here's how she originally described the symbol: Gaga channeling... Satan?! Gaga also incorporated the theme of tribes. you may recall there are two battling tribes in the "Stupid Love" video. Each tribe — there are eight of them — has its own symbol and colour. Eagle-eyed fans found the symbols in the upper right hand corner, the middle right panel, and the bottom left corner of the cover. Some of the tribe colors. There’s also this curious green splatter on the left hand side, which some fans have posited could be a reference to her recent comments about earth being “cancelled”. “I think what I’ve learned is that I can view the world in whatever way I choose to see it,” Gaga said. “It doesn’t mean that I’m deleting the bad things, it just means that I can reframe my life experiences and reframe the way that the world frames life experiences to a way that I love and believe in… that is Chromatica. I live on Chromatica, that is where I live. I went into my frame — I found Earth, I deleted it. Earth is cancelled. I live on Chromatica.” The shoes. She wore similar ones 10 years ago in 2010. Are we finding meaning and symbolism in things that might not be there. The answer is no.
