  3. "Rain On Me" acapella + "Feel Special" instrumental So this popped into my recommended videos on YouTube. I mean, for obvious reasons... TWICE are my favorite K-Pop group, and "Feel Special" is one of my favorite K-Pop songs EVER. And I kid you not when I say that the "Feel Special" instrumental works TOO well with "Rain On Me". The second chorus is HEAVEN!!!
  4. It's no secret. Ariana is a bigger pop star than Lady Gaga today. Some blogs are suggesting that Rain on me is only huge cos of Ariana and not lady gaga. They mostly expect Chromatica to perform like Bionic.. They state at 34. She went back to the outlandish outfits and make up and theatrical antics. Bottom line is In many articles. Lady gaga's image is basically a revamped version of her original image. Many think it might not work given most modern day musicians just wear baggy sweats and a messy t shirt like a normal teenager. Messed up hair and everything. They also feel the image of gaga might work in 2010. But in 2020. It's definitely dated..
  5. We'll have Chromatica in just a few days! Here are the track lengths: ‘Chromatica I’ - 01:00 'Alice' - 02:57 'Stupid Love' - 03:13 ‘Rain On Me’ (with Ariana Grande) - 03:02 ‘Free Woman’ - 03:11 ‘Fun Tonight’ - 02:53 ‘Chromatica II’ - 00:41 ‘911’ - 02:52 ‘Plastic Doll’ - 03:41 ‘Sour Candy’ (with BLACKPINK) - 02:37 ‘Enigma’ - 02:59 ‘Replay’ - 03:06 ‘Chromatica III’ - 00:27 ‘Sine From Above’ (with Elton John) 04:04 ‘1,000 Doves’ - 03:35 ‘Babylon’ - 02:41 Related:
  6. Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande blessed the world with a dance floor banger, and even though the dance parties are happening at home right now, it's been well-received. ISSA BOP, as the kids say. It looks like millions of people agree with me, because the numbers don't lie. "Rain On Me" had the biggest first-day in streams in 2020 thus far. According to Chart Data on Twitter, it also breaks the record for biggest single day streams for an all-female collaboration in Spotify herstory. Are you stanning "Rain On Me," Exhale? Related:
  7. Stream Rain on Me (Which is now apparently about lactation)
  8. Lady Gaga sat down with Apple Music's Zane Lowe for an interview about her new album, Chromatica, out May 29. She says it's a dance record again. Gaga also talks about Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande in the full interview. We did it kids. Related:
  9. The answer is yes. Rain On Me apparently samples a song called All This Love That I’m Giving by Gwen McCrae. But when the best drops in the chorus (after the already iconic and anthemic facial line Rain. On. Me.), it sounds a lot like Music Sounds Better With You by Stardust, a late 90’s dance hit that samples a different song Fate by Chaka Khan. Given Lady Gaga’s previous history with creating songs in a “reductive” manner, could she be up to her old tricks again? Can any of you hear the similarity? For the record, I don’t think BTW and Express Yourself sound that alike
  10. Lady Gaga's new music video for "Rain On Me," featuring Ariana Grande, is out now! The video is a total serve. Gaga suits up as a '90s-punk pop rain warrior. In some scenes she's literally pulling daggers out of herself - a metaphor for past trauma - elsewhere she's singing while rain pours down over her face. Ariana is a true pop star, but this is the first instance where she really leaned into the Gaga effect. It's the best pop visual of the year imo. Thoughts? In her recent interview with Paper, Gaga opened up about the collab. Here's an excerpt: Chromatica drops May 29th. Related:
  11. It pains me to continue writing posts like these, but the Chromatica leaks continue to spill onto the Internet. One of the new cuts, "Free Woman," appeared online today in-full. It's got a bit of an '80s feel to it – a mid-tempo beat pulsates behind the infectious chorus. You may recall Gaga's iconic line, "I'm a free b----, baby." Now she's a free woman. A bit of Gaga's Ariana Grande collab leaked last month. Of course I can't point you in the right direction for either, but they're out there. May 29th can't come soon enough.
  12. Mother Monster changes the face of pop music with her sophomore album. Lady Gaga released Born This Way on May 23, 2011. Back in late 2010, Lady Gaga told a crowd of screaming fans in Gdsank, Poland that her second studio album, Born This Way, would be “the greatest album of this decade.” Almost 10 years later, the declaration still rings true. The blockbuster LP changed up the game for Mother Monster, elevating her off kilter pop contributions to new degrees of weird cool. In the process, it turned off a few folks, but regardless of whether you championed her creativity or turned your nose at the spectacle, it was certainly an era worth watching. For BreatheHeavy’s latest installment of This Day In Pop, we’re revisiting Gaga’s mega-release as she works steadily on her sixth studio album. Check out the full story on Exhale's Pop Anniversaries Calendar! Exhale, what's your favorite song off Born This Way?
  13. Alexa Camp from Slant ( IDK who that is but she mad) published a scathing review of "Rain On Me." If it bleeds, it leads. In her review, she says Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande are "two overzealous vocalists duking it out to see who can outsing the other over the course of the track’s three chart-maximizing minutes." She also shades Gaga and her past trauma. Look at this: "The song is reportedly about the singers’ shared public trauma, and while it’s unclear which of Gaga’s myriad traumas the track references, it ostensibly addresses the PTSD Grande is said to have suffered following the terror attack at her Manchester concert in 2017." Do you think Gaga and Ari try to "ousting" one another on Rain On Me? I personally don't at ALL. They actually have a pretty stellar contrast despite both being powerhouse vocalists. They complimented each other very well, and trust... I recognize there was real potential for a singing match. But it didn't turn out that way. Sorry that you're wrong, Slant. Thoughts? Agree?
  14. The palette looks great! Even better on Nikkie's eyes. But where is that BRIGHT PINK? Of course pink isn't part of that color scheme, but then why would Gaga call the palette "Stupid Love" when the video is all about pink. Her hair is pink in the photo, and there's even pink on her eyelids. And didn't she say that in this album (called none other than "Chromatica") each song represented a color, and that SL was pink? I DON'T GET IT aaaanyway here it is: PS: Not sure if this is the right forum, feel free to move.
  15. I need this album in my life Check out this new Chromatica photo. It's featured as the main pic for the Lady Gaga Essentials playlist on Apple Music. Anyone else counting down the day till the album's out? Related:
  16. I think one of the most difficult generations to belong to right now besides being an elderly person is a high school student. Imagine not getting the opportunity to celebrate the milestones every adolescent before you did. This pandemic is tough, but some super star A-listers are joining forces to make the world a better place and ease the angst. YouTube is streaming a virtual graduation event on June 6th at 3 pm EST. It features speeches from the Obamas (), Lady Gaga, Beyonce and more. Gaga is performing as well, as is BTS, Camila Cabello, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion (with Beyonce as as surprise I bet ) and more. Are YOU tuning in?
  17. Rapper 6ix9ine, whom I did not think would get so many posts on Exhale EVER, claims Billboard fudged the numbers and gave Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber's new song, "Stuck With U," the #1, because according to him... they bought it. He says they used six credit cards to purchase 30k copies and wants to do the same this Friday with his new song "GOOBA." It's a personal vendetta against Ariana now. Gaga's releasing a new song on Friday with Ariana titled Rain on Me," the next single off Chromatica. 6ix could derail that from hitting #1. Obviously his purchasing methods won't work, but he IS creating a lot of chatter around his song which could = more streams. "GOOBA" is #3 this week. We have to start our #JusticeForRainOnMe campaign now sisters Related:
  18. The "Stupid Love" Remix, a Target exclusive bonus track, was just issued. I honestly think she's not giving any promo singles or anything in that matter. I feel the album is just coming out cause it was all about to leak. I still feel she's a visual artist and to her... performance in videos and live make it hard for her to promote, but I also feel the music leaking and people being impatient got into the way. So I think she is just issuing Chromatica without a concrete plan. I already know the tour will likely be canceled. No way city government or state governments will allow massive crowds until a vaccine is created. Update: she's releasing "Rain On Me" with Ariana Grande on Friday. Thoughts on the remix? Related:
  19. No matter how many safeguards are in place, hackers tend to find the cracks. Celebrity law firm Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks, who represents some major super stars, including Lady Gaga, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Bruce Springsteen and many more, are the subject of a major data breach. The hackers used a ransomware dubbed “REvil” on the firm and are asking for $21 million in exchange for the 756 gigabytes of stolen data. The law firm allegedly hired cyber-extortion specialists to fight back. That pissed the hackers off, so they released a 2.4 gigabyte batch of files on Thursday. “It seems that GRUBMANS doesn’t care about their clients or it was a mistake to hire a recovery company to help in the negotiations,” the hackers wrote. “As we promised, we [published] the first part of the data because the time is up.” They added: “The ransom is now $42 million.” The firm is still refusing to pay any ransom. In that new leak includes how much Gaga is making off her songwriting royalties towards songs she contributed and co-wrote for A Star Is Born. From Rolling Stone: This bit of information in my opinion is actually very interesting and makes Gaga look good. Gaga takes the lion's share of music publishing royalties. "Shallow" 40% Music to my Eyes 40% Look What I Found 25% Always Remember us This Way 25% I Don't Know What Love Is 60% Hair Body Face 50% Before I Cry 70% The major take away is this is a gross invasion of privacy, and certainly doesn't help that I'm posting about it, but also the damage is done. We love a pop star who owns her stuff. We been knew, but she's set for life! Thoughts on the data breach? Thoughts on Gaga's share?
  20. I'm not a huge fan of chart and streaming data, but I AM a huge proponent of girl power. This is why everyone is like, WhErE's R9 Kinda surprised about Halsey. Anyone missing?
