  2. On January 17, 2001, Britney Spears released Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know as the fourth and final single off her second album Oops!... I Did It Again. The song was produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lunge, who co-wrote the song with his then wife, country singer Shania Twain and Keith Scott. The teen ballad talks about a woman who's waiting for her love interest to tell her that he loves her too; despite her friends telling her he's into her, she wants to hear it from him, she doesn't want to be the last to know Despite the song receiving mostly positive reviews, it failed to make its way into any US charts, mainly because it wasn't properly released as a single, but it was sent only to radio stations. However, it did reach Top 10 and Top 20 in many other countries, mainly in Europe, including a #1 in Romania. A music video was directed by Herb Ritts, but it wasn't released until March 2001. Several remixes were created, the most notable being the Hex Hector Club Mix, which would later appear on B in the Mix: the Remixes. The song was first performed on her Crazy 2k Tour in 2000, ahead of the release of the album. Then it was included on her Oops!... I Did It Again Tour She also performed the song in many tv shows and the Dream Within a Dream Tour almost 10 years later, she would bring it back for her Femme Fatale Tour in 2011 Britney Spears has stated in multiple occasions that Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know is one of her favorite songs. For example, in 2013 she named it her favorite song of hers:
  3. I just can't get my head around it After breakdown and then For the record era (last time Britney seemed like her old self), we lost Britney entirely. Her voice changed, her dance ability, her music.. I still had some kind of hope, but was not really expecting to see her again as herself. And then she suddenly appears for a second there in Ellen show in back in 2019. Out of nowhere, her normal voice is back, her facial expressions, her smile, her spark in the eyes.. Suddenly, old Britney was back. And then she disappeared again. Hearing the Free Britney movement and the stories that appeared after (that she was off drugs right before Domination, which was when this Ellen episode was shot) make me so STRONGLY believe it was true.

  6. I can't believe she has some MV with less than 10M Anyways, they are this: Someday (I Will Understand) - 9.89M DANCE Till The World Ends - 9.04M Kill The Lights - 8.26M Stream those MVs tho, not even 10M views for our princess, such a shame Anyways, I will later do a topic about the tracks that haven't reached 100K in spotify or youtube or whatever.
  7. For this post, I would like to shine a light to Britney Spears songs and singles where she or the featured artist mentions her name. It’s more than the iconic “It’s Britney, *****!” on the “Gimme More” single from 2007. If we analyze Britney’s discography, she has used this trend for several year (since 1999), and in the ‘Blackout’ era was the most direct and avantgarde into the mainstream pop landscape. For me, the songs and singles where she mentions her name, are the most innovative from her career. At least, I believe that it’s used in a very original way and portrays the powerful Britney we all love. In the featured artist or collaboration type of song, is more common to name-check the other artist. Here are the “name-check” of Britney’s name in her own songs/singles: 1) “Soda Pop” (1999)* 2) “Oops!… I Did It Again” (2000) 3) “Lonely” (2001)* 4) “Intimidated” (2001)* 5) “Boys (The Co-Ed Remix)”, Britney Spears feat. Pharrell Williams (2002) 6) “Me Against the Music”, Britney Spears feat. Madonna (2003) 7) “[I Got That] Boom Boom”, Britney Spears feat. Ying Yang Twins (2003) 8) “Gimme More” (2007) 9) “Piece of Me” (2007) 10) “Toy Soldier” (2007) 11) “Why Should I Be Sad” (2007) 12) “Get Back (Main Version)” (2007) 13) “Kill the Lights” (2008) 14) “Big Fat Bass”, Britney Spears feat. Will.i.am. (2011) 15) “Till the World Ends (The Femme Fatale Remix)”, Britney Spears feat. Nicki Minaj & Kesha (2011) 16) “Scream & Shout”, Will.i.am feat. Britney Spears (2012) 17) “Scream & Shout (Remix)”, Will.i.am feat. Britney Spears, Hit Boy, Waka Flocka Flame, Lil Wayne & Diddy (2013) 18) “Pretty Girls”, Britney Spears & Iggy Azalea (2015) 19) “Mood Ring (By Demand) (Pride Remix)” (2020) * Added to the list.
  8. So apparently Britney did a telephone interview on TRL in January 2004 where she spoke about the wedding with Jason Alexander and said: "I do believe in the sanctity of marriage, I totally do. But I was in Vegas, and it took over me." "We landed on Mars that day, why aren't they talking about that?" (https://www.irishexaminer.com/world/arid-10107584.html) I've been looking for a recording of this interview but can't seem to find it anywhere so I thought I'd post here on the off chance anyone here has ever come across it/knows where I could find it?

  10. Hey folks! I decided to make a music video for Matches, nothing serious just for a bit of fun. Lemma know what you think! :D
  11. Had no idea this existed until recently. Thought it was great.
  12. ..? 3:50 The guy in the video basically says she got manipulated into thinking she got cheated on, and that this didn't actually happen. Thoughts? Does anyone have more concise proof of this?

  15. So I was scrolling through Twitter when I saw this compilation: At 00:20 I noticed a video that I had never seen before, and I think is the first time I saw a recording of the meet & greet I searched it up and apparently it is a segment from despierta america on univision? It was about fulfilling your dreams and that they can come true...? I didn't really get it tbh but she acted so nice and funny lol, I loved the part where she pinched her They even took a selfie together: Here is the full video, I used a VPN to watch it cuz I'm not from USA. I found it so random and that's why I share it with y'all guys https://www.univision.com/shows/despierta-america/los-suenos-de-francisca-se-han-hecho-realidad-ella-conocio-a-britney-spears-video
  16. Britney had the tradition of releasing at least one cover song in her first three studio albums, and then the first single of her Greatest Hits compilation album. She has always liked giving her own spin to songs of artists that she admires. Like for example: Cher, Madonna, Joan Jett and Suzanne Vega. Here is the list of Britney’s cover songs from another artists (studio versions). 1) “The Beat Goes On”, (originally by Sonny & Cher), 1999. 2) “I’ll Never Stop Loving You”, (originally by J’Son), 1999. 3) “I Can’t Get No (Satisfaction)", (originally by The Rolling Stones), 2000. 4) “You Got It All”, (originally by The Jets), 2000. 5) “I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll”, (originally by The Arrows), 2001. 6) “We Will Rock You", with Beyoncé and Pink (Pepsi Ad), (originally by Queen), 2004. 7) “My Prerogative”, (originally by Bobby Brown), 2004. 8) “I’ve Been Loving You Too Long”, (originally by Otis Redding), 2006/2007. 9) “Everybody”, (sample, originally by Eurythmics), 2007. 10) “Out from Under”, (originally by Joanna Pacitti), 2008. 11) “Burning Up”, (originally by Madonna), 2011. 12) “Tom’s Diner” with Giorgio Moroder, (originally by Suzanne Vega), 2016.
  17. Hi guys, hope you're doing well... this edit is not done by me. But truly love it. Hope you enjoy it as I did. Sorry if it was posted before
  18. You guys omg Look what I found yesterday for only U$ 3 (yes, 3!) each I mean WTF!!!!!! i was going through them at a shop thinkin can you imagine if I find said cover and there they were one after the other. Blew my mind to find them together on the same day at the same place! The owner of the shop recently bought a magazines collection from someone with lots of NME, rolling stone and Q issues, and didnt have the time to go through all of them yet so he priced them all the same for me. I told him how these were iconic covers and heard him say to another guy after i left that he should have checked them before selling
  19. 'Britney bids for kids' - a favourite Britney moment of mine back then when she gave her support back to those who can not fully support their talented children.. In a video concerning her current state, i heard that Lou Tayloe got the sum of money of this organization to her strange chappel.. so sad, it is. https://gottahaverockandroll.com/britney-spears-signed--hand-prints-made-as-a-young-lot13102.aspx 'Britney Spear's hand prints made as a young child' https://www.google.gr/search?source=univ&tbm=isch&q=Britney+Spears+Online+Auction+2003&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjw8ef7mKHuAhUNwKQKHVejC-QQ7Al6BAgCECQ&biw=1440&bih=757#imgrc=KFEZDuqJvEFmlM a paper said https://www.ukbritney.tv/photogallery-appearances/nggallery/galleries/britney-spears-foundation-auction-press-conference-22nd-may-2003 it always strikes me that she wasn't interested to keep an archive
  20. If B10 exists and it happens, I have a request for Britney. Yes, it's a cover and I have mentioned it before and the more I think of it, the more I feel it's just so fitting for her lyric to lyric. Her next album should be very personal and I don't mean like "Britney Jean." I'm thinking songs like Stronger, Everytime, Piece of Me and Perfume. Going back to the cover idea, she should sing "You Don't Own Me." It should be either the first or last single from the album. I am telling you, it would be massive! I think it's a great way for Britney to say kindly to freak off!
  21. I know you are gonna say that I'm crazy but whenever I listen to What You Need, it reminds me of Rock Boy. These are the specific parts that sound similar to me: What You Need - 1:27 - 1:40 Rock Boy - 1:58 - 2:13 PS. And yeah, I LOVE Rock Boy! 🤣🤣🤣❤
