  1. On January 23, 2000, the twelfth episode of the season 11 of The Simpsons was originally aired. It was titled "The Mansion Family" and it featured the guest appearance of Britney Spears as herself. The episode was written by John Swartzwelder and directed by Michael Polcino. "The Mansion Family" starts with the Springfield Pride Awards, which are being hosted by the cartoon version of Britney Spears and fictional character Kent Brockman. They present the award for Springfield's oldest citizen to Cornelius Chapman, who dies onstage from a heart attack after Britney Spears kisses him. The award then passes to Mr. Burns, who decides to get a checkup at the Mayo Clinic, leaving Homer in charge of his mansion. In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the show, NECA released a collection of figures based on some of the famous guest stars that have appeared throughout the series. A Britney Spears figure was released in the second batch of the collection. You can watch the full episode here.

  3. So I’m Autistic Whitch I wouldn’t change in a million years. And the only thing that has really made me feel calm during meltdowns is listening to Britney. So I asked other Autistics I know and asked what they do to calm down. And 7 out of 11 said they listen to 90s music and singers like Britney and Christina ❤️
  4. Growing up as a Britney fan, one of my favorite things was to collect her DVDs! The first one I ever got was GH:MP. At the time I was new fan, so that dvd allowed me to get to know all of her videos! Also the ITZ dvd was one of my fav, I watched the ABC special countless times what about you? Do you have any favorite DVD?

  6. Growing up close to NYC and being a Britney Stan, my little gay self would always find myself outside of the TRL studio every time Britney had an appearance. Back in the day she was the IT girl of MTV/TRL and was on TRL often. I finally made my way up to the studio the week of the Oops! Video release. The coordinator had recognized me from always being out there and sent me upstairs. It was all such a blur and the energy from just knowing Britney was in the building was insane. Long story short, but, i ended up at a few of Britney’s tapings after that. The reason I’m still a Stan, at 33, is because i was able to first hand witness Britney’s complete kindness and love for humans. She was so painfully shy, but, Carson Daly always managed to make her comfortable(i lowkey still think they would’ve been a good couple). There was another VJ, whom is in the upcoming Times documentary(Dave i think is his name) that you could tell she just didn’t care for. Those were the best tapings bc she would only interact with the audience at commercial breaks. Britney was funny, chill and just a nice person. She would joke around with us, sign autographs(which was a huge nono for mtv) and once even had pizza sent up for everyone. not sure why I’m posting this, but, I just like the remind everyone that Britney is just a good southern girl at heart. I’m super lucky to have these memories because i don’t think we will ever see that Britney again.
  7. Hi guys! It's been a long time since I have made a Controvery2006-tease thread so here we are with my right opinion Just a few weeks ago, we had a thread stating In The Zone was her peak (Will drop it by the end of the post) and there was a 50% agree and 50% disagree ratio. So I decided to channel my opinion as well so here we are! Here is why I think Britney's peak isn't ...Baby One More Time, self-titled, Circus or Myah Marie Jean but Oops!...I Did It Again On the glorious day of March 27, 2000 when 18 year old teen-pop debutant Britney Spears dropped the single and MV for "Oops!...I Did It Again", her 5th single at the time after the release of "From The Bottom of My Broken Heart". Pre-OIDIA, the critics and GP labelled her already as a one-hit wonder whom will fade away with her next record. This is what makes "Oops!...I Did It Again" just more iconic alongside the ironically-title, because when it dropped out it became the biggest female hit of the year 2000 reaching #1 in over 20+ countries, went platinum in over 10 countries and was #1 on the United World Charts for nearly 3 months! The video however is what set the game for this song. Based on Britney's concept and idea, it shows Britney in the instantly recognizable red catsuit on Mars in a futuristic world! It received positive acclaim, with many of the critics comparing it to her debut record and some (Even Britney herself!) recognizing it as the better version. Now it was time for the release of her album. Expectation and anticipation was as high as the Everest for how the album will perform. On May 16 of that same year, the album was released with the same title of the lead-single and by the time the day was over, it sold 500,000 copies in its first 24 hours of availability. The album debuted at #1 selling over 1.319 million copies in its first week and 2.5 million copies around the globe. It was #2 for 15 consecutive weeks and sold over 15 million copies by the end of 2000. Britney then released 3 more huge-hit singles from the era and the album proved to have become an even bigger success than BOMT was and the rest is HERstory! Here are the iconic moments from this era: 2000 VMA Performance: Before the legendary 2001 VMA Snake Performance, there was the 2000 VMA that showed the world that if you mess with Brit, boy you must have tripped! It was the year after Britney's infamous performance in 1999 with *NSYNC that she returned back to the stage but not in the cute, girl next door image she held in her last era. She kicked off the performance with her controversial cover of "I Can't Get No (Satisfaction)" wearing a glimmering loose feminine tuxedo topped off with the black hat. She then enters the stage where she rips off the clothing and reveals the world-shocking suit which created a media-frenzy around the world to perform the rock version of "Oops!...I Did It Again". The whole night was then taken away by Britney's stage presence and shock-factor! Fame, Popularity & Cultural Impact As you can see in the thumbnail and video, the demand for anything britney-related during this time was monumental! She was awarded as the best-selling female artist of 2000. The album already was a massive success and she was the most searched celebrity in 2000. She ate this era up in terms of popularity! What makes this era just even more special was that in the BOMT era, Britney was more of a successful female singer and in the Britney era, she transcended from pop icon to a celebrity however in the OIDIA era, she was a mix of both! She was a singer and her songs were playing always in the radios and tour tickets selling out and she was a star by her own right being regarded as one of the most successful and richest celebrities of the time. She was a bit of everything during this time, and her beauty was out of this world! Anyways, what do you guys think? agree? lemme know
  8. Being back in quarantine and a bit bored, I just decided to create this Britney playlist in YouTube using one song from every Britney album. A-la-Taylor Swift (with Track 5 in her studio albums), I selected these songs based on a state of loneliness, reflected as an unpleasant emotional response to perceived isolation. Loneliness is also described as social pain—a psychological mechanism which motivates individuals to seek social connections. The Loneliness Collection @ Britney Spears 1) “E-Mail My Heart” (1999) 2) “Where Are You Now” (2000) 3) “I Run Away” (2001) 4) “Shadow” (2003) 5) “Why Should I Be Sad” (2007) 6) “Out from Under” (2008) 7) “Inside Out” (2011) 8) “Alien” (2013) 9) “Just Luv Me” (2016) 10) “Swimming in the Stars” (2020) What do you guys think?!?
  9. it look like "Framing Britney Spears" Trailer will give a major push to Free Britney Moment...I loved it when they mention "The way we treated her was disgusting". I think its the beginning of a new ray of light. FX and Hulu has announced that the sixth episode in the The New York Times Presents series of documentaries will be titled Framing Britney Spears. Produced by The New York Times and Left/Right, the documentary will stream on FX on Hulu on February 5, 2021. Her rise was a global phenomenon. Her downfall was a cruel national sport. People close to Britney Spears and lawyers tied to her conservatorship now reassess her career as she battles her father in court over who should control her life. The meteoric rise and disturbing fall of Britney Spears has devolved into a Kafkaesque court battle that has reawakened her fandom and raised pressing questions about mental health and an individuals’ rights. The New York Times Presents: Framing Britney Spears re- examines her career and offers a new assessment of the movement rallying against her court-mandated conservatorship, capturing the unsavory dimensions of the American pop-star machine. The series is executive produced by Jason Stallman, Sam Dolnick, Stephanie Preiss from The New York Times, and Ken Druckerman, Banks Tarver and Mary Robertson from Left/Right. Related:
  10. I just saw this he's suggesting nobody can now use the hashtag This is a reliable source as Billy B is Britney's long time best friend, mentor and guardian angel Also his comments are really helpful in explaining things

  12. Raven Symone, a former child star herself has defended Britney Spears. Watch the video above. Comparing her to other pop stars like Justin bieber and Demi Lovato (which Raven said had multiple chances and always constantly blew it with relapse after relapse). Britney just had a breakdown and had her freedom taken, and in some ways had the media turned her into a freak show like Michael Jackson, saying without this, she would be dead.. If anything Raven said, she's probably thinking what kind of life is worth living, if I can't do what I want.
  13. I thought of making this thread because of the way I personally connect to music. I have music for all of my different moods, feelings, events, etc. I can relate to each song in a different way and some feel very personal to me. I imagine Britney, as a musician especially, connects to music quite personally and spiritually as well. Her favorite song of 2020 was He Don't Love Me, shown by the numerous amount of times she posted videos dancing to it on instagram. Did she relate to the lyrics? Her current relationship? Or maybe she connects the song to a failed relationship of the past. Another artist she seems to like is Nelly Furtado, dancing to "Say It Right" multiple times and also singing to "I'm Like a Bird" in 2001 on her MTV Diaries episode. It's not difficult to tell why Britney would love a song like "I'm Like a Bird". A song about a free woman, essentially. Britney seems to enjoy snarky songs as well, like You Oughta Know (above) and ***** (below) I think her musical interests are fiery, sassy, freeing, and emotional. Some honorable mentions would be: Janet Jackson - All Nite (Don't Stop) Justin Timberlake , Jay-Z - Holy Grail Amy Winehouse - Back To Black (I wonder which song on the album is Brit's favorite) Lily Allen - It's Not Me, It's You (Britney should create an album like Amy or Lily's with her deeper voice, she could make such a sassy lyrical album) Christina Aguilera - Beautiful What are some other songs Britney enjoys?
  14. So I stumbled across this... It would make sense about how they obtained rare never seen before pictures of Britney! Spill the tea Fe
  15. I really haven't cared much about Sam, but since a thread on here a train of thoughts got set off in my mind. They've been together for four years!! So I googled them a bit. I came across this: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-7046861/Britney-Spears-steps-beau-Sam-Asghari-saying-course-perform-again.html#v-5781396010567906371 0:15 "This is too much. I'm scared" damn, that's heartbreaking The only thing she said to the paparazzi is a laugh of judgment, that she loves her fans and that she wants to see the paparazzi trip again (lololol)
  16. This is probably old news here on Exhale but I found this tumblr with a britney song sorter (https://jesseepinkman.tumblr.com/britneysong). Basically you'll keep choosing between two songs until it gives you a rank of all songs in accordance with your options. It takes a little of patience tbh and the sorter has a lot of fails (Radar appears 2 times and there is no Glory track, only an option that says "Glory Songs" -.-). Here it is my top 20: 1 - Toxic 2- Everytime 3 - Till The World Ends 4 - Hold It Against Me 5 - Womanizer 6 - Circus 7 - Touch Of My Hand 8 - Gimme More 9 - Heaven on Earth 10 - Piece Of Me 11 - Oops!... I Did It Again 12 - Stronger 13 - Where Are You Now 14 - Break The Ice 15 - Lucky 16 - Baby One More Time 17 - (You Drive Me) Crazy 18 - He About To Lose Me 19 - Work ***** 20 - I'm A Slave 4U Have fun and share your top 20
  17. I sincerely don’t mean for this to come off the wrong way, as what Im about to ask is no way meant to judge, condemn or villify certain celebrities, but is anyone else perplexed as to why the vast majority of celebs that publicly support #FreeBritney are either C-list, or from the darker part of Hollywood? They were all at one time or another all influential or popular, but now are more known for being INFAMOUS, rather than famous. Whether it be drugs, arrests, controversial comments/actions and/or conspiracies....everyone that gets behind FreeBritney seems to be a problematic celeb.....Courtney Love, Trisha Paytas, Rose McGowen, Lindsay Lohan, Raven, Paris Hilton, etc. etc. Aside from Miley and maybe Cher, (who also have their own moments from time to time where people just roll their eyes) why are no other industry power houses getting behind FreeBritney in an everyday, big kind of way? Britney is loved and admired by so many A-list people that could really help push the movement along, but something about it must seem either unattractive to them...or maybe too shrouded in incomplete/non-fully corroborated details that its a little too conspiracy theoryish to attach their mega brands to? Instead of having lots of reputable main stream media coverage (even though w the doc coming thats started to change), FreeBritney’s mainstay media coverage historically has been outlets like OK magazine, cheap tabloid shows that only air at 3am, and TMZ. ..and instead of Taylor Swifts, Adeles, and Beyonces showing support, its Courtney Love, Rose McGowan and “celebs” that look like they arent huge fans of self care. Has anyone else noticed this? There’s parts of FreeBritney stuff that I get behind...other parts that are just too far fetched...but it seems to be, based off of the way that A-list Hollywood interacts w it, that its like the Qanon equivalent of Hollywood topics, just based off of who has attached themselves to it and who chooses not to.
  18. On January 24, 2004 the NRJ Music Awards took place in Cannes, France. Britney Spears was there to perform Toxic. She also presented Madonna an special award of honor.
  19. I don't know about yall but my YT algorithm has just now revealed to me this old interview, and i've never seen it before . Just thought i would share it with you guys. The quality is really good i think ! Have you guys seen this before? Cuz i've never . And here she's performing afterwards:
  20. Britney has been struggling with creative control ever since Britney (the album). I think the big game changer was her contract renewal though Britney Jean was the last album she had for her contract. There are articles around its release that show that Britney was being looked at by labels for her new contract. But then she had her contract at RCA renewed, and I'm guessing she got a lot more creative control with the new contract (yes, this is a thing. Look up articles of other artists renewing their contracts; creative control is something they negotiate), because with Glory, it finally felt like her vision had come forward. And I'm happy it did.
  21. Probably watched this a thousand times. I’m completely enamoured.
  22. Streisand, who said he was referred to the singer by her custody lawyers at Trope and Trope, had also questioned the expertise of court-appointed co-conservator Andrew Wallet, claiming that he didn't have the expertise to handle the estate or the trust, given that Britney's estate is worth $40 million, encompasses 15 separate entities and is in the middle of a $17 million audit. Streisand had asked the court to instead name Northern Trust Bank and Spears' business manager Howard Grossman as co-conservators. Grossman, who hadn't yet handed over the financial information to Wallet because he didn't know if he was supposed to, said he would be "happy to help" his client and her family in any way. https://www.mtv.com/news/1580917/britney-spears-lawyer-ejected-from-courtroom-after-judge-doesnt-recognize-him-as-her-counsel/ A little story about Britneys former custody battle attorney who referred Streisend to Britney Britney Spears temporarily lost custody of her two sons because she was accused of not taking a random drug and alcohol test and she couldn’t provide a California driver’s license, her lawyer tells PEOPLE. Spears’s attorney, Sorrell Trope, says, “We weren’t able to prove compliance with what the judge ordered.” “Specifically,” Trope says, “the judge ordered that by 10 a.m. (Monday) morning, both parties show valid California driving licenses. I’ve been unable to produce evidence of that.” Trope says another reason behind the judge’s temporary custody ruling “was a claim by Mr. Federline’s attorney that she had not complied with a previous order the court had made – before I came on board (as lawyer) – about having a random drug and alcohol test.” Trope adds: “There’s no evidence that she actually failed a test.” https://people.com/celebrity/britneys-lawyer-reveals-reasons-behind-custody-ruling/ Other story about Howard Grossman who Streisend intended to put as her conservator If he had been accepted as her lawyer 1st Land's sole director and husband of Mrs Grossman, property developer Howard Grossman, was banned from running companies for 10 years in 2019 over his conduct. The insolvency service said he had "blatantly disregarded" his duties by failing to provide accounting records to explain more than £5m missing from the football club loan. Documents lodged at Companies House by Deloitte reveal the litigation currently under way Another company controlled by Mr Grossman, County Oundle Ltd, received the first tranche of loan money given to the club in September 2013, amounting to £1.5m. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-england-northamptonshire-53696561 This is what Adam said about Britneys situation in 2019 “The fact that she’s been under conservatorship for a dozen years should tell you something about the state of her mental impairment and her vulnerability,” said Streisand, who specializes in high-profile wealth disputes. “The courts will do everything they can to ensure that a person is not conserved unless they really, really need to be.” https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2019-09-17/britney-spears-conservatorship-free-britney
