  1. Katy Perry is glowing during her performance of "Roar" & "Firework" at the ICC Woman’s T20 World Cup in Australia. I'm actually really happy for her. Did yo watch the performance? How do you think she did?
  2. Katy Perry just confirmed she has a new album on the way, and it drops in the summer! The news follows the singer's new music video for a ballad titled "Never Worn White." In it, Katy reveals she's pregnant. "NWW" is also not the lead single btw. Are YOU excited for a new KP album?!
  3. Katy Perry released a new song and video for "Never Worn White." The clip is beautiful. In it, Katy reveals she's pregnant! Single cover:
  4. I can already predict all the comments are going to call her insufferable, but I'm living for the lewk.
  5. Taylor Swift is undoubtedly a genius at not only songwriting and creating music magic, but also at marketing her music. She's sold more singles in the US in the last ten years than anyone else. And second place, which is Eminem, doesn't even come close. 1. Taylor Swift - 75M 2. Enimem - 63M 3. Rihanna - 62M 4. Katy Perry - 61M 5. Drake - 59M 6. Maroon 5 - 50M 7. Bruno Mars - 49M 8. Glee Cast - 43M 9. Justin Bieber - 42M 10. Adele - 41M This leads me to ask... are you a Taylor hater or Lover (pun intended). Let me know what you think in the comments.
  6. JLo and Shakira's Super Bowl Halftime Show performance pulled in 103.2 million viewers. 🤯 BUTTT Katy Perry still holds the record with 118.5 million viewers. Lady Gaga's was close though – 117.5 million viewers. BTW Justin Timberlake's pulled in 106.6 million viewers.
  7. Hey Katy Kats There's a rumor Katy Perry is releasing a new song titled "Blow Your Love" on Valentine's Day. I wasn't super thrilled with "Small Talk," but "Never Really Over" and "Harleys in Hawaii" deserved better from the GP. Do you like any of her newer stuff?
  8. KATY PERRY READIES HER NEXT RELEASE. Katy Perry has decided to hold off touring for the foreseeable future to focus on releasing new music. She kicked off the festivities with the Zedd-produced banger, “Never Really Over,” and it appears she already has her sights set on the next bop. The singer was photographed in Hawaii on what appears to be a music video shoot. She’s rocking a Baywatch-esque one piece swim suit and long blonde hair. Whew, she’s really done with that bob cut! No word on what the song’s name is yet, or when it drops, but expect it sooner than later. “I don’t really want to go on tour right now. I can’t make a record while I’m on the road because one thing suffers,” she recently told The Sun, adding that it doesn’t feel authentic to record whilst touring. It’s worth mentioning Katy Kats are under the impression she recorded “Never Really Over” on tour… “I feel a little bit like 2008 was a time, and now 2019 is a totally different time, and all of the change that has happened in between that, it’s a totally different playing field,” she continued. “I mean, you have to rewire and relearn. I would say that, as an observer, and a big fan of music, there are fewer characters. Lots of songs come out, but fewer characters and personalities.” Catch a glimpse of Katy soaking up the island sun below:
  9. AH, LOVE AND RAINBOWS ARE IN THE AIR AND PRIDE IS HERE. Every year, the LGBTQ community comes together in the month of June to rally, and this year brimming with colorful displays of equality. It’s an opportunity to celebrate diversity and inclusion. It’s a moment to come together in a safe space and feel seen, liberated, and loved. Pride parades and festivals are taking place all over the world and it’s a pretty incredible thing to see as someone who belongs to the LGBTQ community myself. It’s a celebration and movement that gets larger with each passing year. Of course, no pride festival is complete without music pulsating up and down the streets. I mean, did pride even happen if you didn’t hear “Born This Way” at least once? Whether it’s Madonna’s “Material Girl” or Britney’s “Work *****” blasting at your local gay bar or club, one thing is for sure – there is a lineup of pop legends that resonate with the gay community. Have you ever wondered what life is about? You could search the world and never figure it out. I have spent years wondering why so many LGBTQ people gravitate towards the same pop divas. While, I want to avoid making vast generalizations here – as obviously everyone has their own unique taste, there is no denying a common thread here that ties the LGBTQ together with some of these pop music legends. Lots of LGBTQ people make-up the core audience for the likes of Madonna, Britney, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Cher, Rihanna, Kylie, Mariah, Taylor Swift and many others. Why is that? And what do most of these reigning women have in common with the LGBTQ community, even if many of them are straight women? To answer that we will need to peel a very subjective, unscientific onion. I could probably write an entire book trying to dissect this. But for now, let’s keep it high level. 10. https://hornetapp.com/stories/the-entertainer-and-the-artist-the-future-of-lady-Gaga/ saw this shared by a friend in facebook so i reckon it may be worthwhile to discuss it here (let me know though if AP) author made interesting points in explaining how Madonna was able to overshadow Cindy Lauper, the same with Britney to Xtina, and now with Katy to Gaga. To summarize it, the entertainers (Madge and Britney) tend to have longer careers and bigger popularity than the artists (Cindy, Xtina) because less is expected of them, at least in terms of talent and delivery. While those that are labeled as serious artists had high expectations on them (to which Gaga categorizes herself to) that's why when they don't deliver the expectations, they fail. i don't understand though why he has to leave out Janet, Beyonce and Rihanna in a different category, but I guess that's a result of stereotype - that pop is more associated with white acts as r&b is to black. Sounds a little racist, but i guess that does exist in the system.
  11. I'm looking for PROOF of this conspiracy theory that Myah Marie sang most/all of the vocals on Britney Jean. As in, actual factual evidence that this is supposedly the secret truth. Saying "I'm a fan, I know her voice" is not proof, it's opinion. Saying "Britney doesn't sound like that" or "The lyrics obviously aren't her style" is also not proof, it's more opinion. Please do not waste your time spamming this topic with your feelings and emotions and hunches. I want receipts, kiddos My opinion: I do NOT think that Myah Marie had as big a part in these vocals as most people say. When I hear Myah Marie's own songs and the demos that she makes for Britney, it's clear to me that their voices are similar but not identical. I'm not sure why everybody is so quick to completely forget power of electronic engineering of voices and pitch adjustment and all sorts of really nifty technology (e.g. Auto-Tune) used all over the music industry to intentionally modify the original vocals. Britney Jean was obviously heavily edited vocally and in its overall production. I don't find this as a reason to entertain this ridiculous theory that Myah Marie is the main vocalist here. But if your claims can be fact-checked, then let's hear them.
