  1. Agreed, that article was not helpful. -It just rehashed that what Jamie says/wants is the word to follow. -The inclusion of the gym burning is irrelevant, and makes her look incompetent. -It felt like an effort to discredit the internal logic of #FreeBritney by focusing on the ridiculous conspiracies as our prime motivations. No sane person is just deciding as evidence “she burnt her gym down as a distress signal,” “blinking this many times is a Morse code message,” “9-1-1 in her f*¢king eyelashes.” -No mention was made to the actual #FreeBritney investigation work into legal docs, management history, Lou’s dealings...basically everything that BG, LFB, That Surprise Witness, Meaner03, etc. all go into painful detail about. Any journalist actively pursuing #FreeBritney should be finding themselves on those account pages and seeing what rational materials are actually being used to support our critical theories. -I, too, am annoyed as hell that the publicized perspective of the fans is just the inane conspiracy nonsense. It’s like the only source this article sited for the point of view of supporters is her ****** Instagram comments.
  2. Iván Somoza on YouTube does some fabulous remix work. I have been digging a lot of the mixes from his most recent concept collection: Download links are in the video descriptions. My faves: -3/Showdown -Everybody/Kill The Lights -Breathe On Me/Me Against The Music/Bad Romance -Toy Soldier/Break The Ice/Gimme More -Mannequin/HIAM/BOMT
  3. It’s a linguistics thing - how easily the mouth/tongue is able to go from one sound to the next. It’s easier to say TinashA because the mouth doesn’t change shape; TinashE causes the mouth to change shape for the last syllable. And there’s an inherent laziness of the mouth to southern drawl anyway, so she’s further conditioned to letting words slide out in a relaxed form. Does she know Tinashe’s name (and who she is)? Yes. Should she have made the mental effort to learn to pronounce it properly? Yes. Did she? Understandably, no. Think about how everyone pronounces Rihanna’s name as Re-AH-nah, when it’s actually Re-AN-nah. Even Jay-Z said it wrong on Umbrella. It’s easier to say Re-ah-nah because the shape of the mouth doesn’t change.
  4. 1. Make Me... (album: 450 / all versions: 636) 2. Mood Ring (album: 333 / all versions: 399) 3. Slumber Party (album/single: 203 / all versions: 274) Do You Wanna Come Over? (album: 229)
  5. It’s SO good. Definitely one of her most mature songs.
  6. I rarely listen to Boys willingly. I don’t hate it, it just sorta grates on me the same way I Wanna Go does. They’re very monotonous; the don’t have much levels to them.
  7. Omg you’re right. It’s just a bunch of parts sometimes repeated and assembled in random order. But you know what...it works. Bop is a bop, and that’s the facts.
  8. Hahaha. Sis, there are only a few BJ songs even worth saving! Let’s not throw this one to the wolves too. And thank you
  9. Omfg haha. I just had to re-listen to Boys to try and divide the song into how you hear it. It felt sooo weeeird having “What would it take for you...” be the verse! So I can imagine how you must have felt when you realized how...everybody else hears the song.
  10. Even though “Now That I Found You” is one of the better songs on Britney Jean, it still matches the rushed/unfinished nature of the album by not having a proper 2nd verse. I randomly felt inspired, so I decided to write lyrics to a 2nd verse - keeping close attention to the tone/theme/rhyming scheme of the song. Full song lyrics provided below, with my 2nd verse contribution in bold. What do y’all think?? —————————— On a shameless night In a nameless place I thought that love was a hopeless case Til I found you Til I found you Lived a wasteful life In a hateful city There was no love, just pain and pity Til I found you Til I found you And you don't know how you saved me And you don't know what you gave me And you don't know how you saved my life I can see the light I have flown away I have come alive I am blown away I have felt the love I can see the truth Now that I found you Now that I found you I can live my life I believe in faith I have found myself I have lost the hate I have felt the love I can see the truth Now that I found you Now that I found you I was aimless but You were blameless here Never knew someone could be so sincere Til I found you Til I found you I was fearful of All the tearful moments Didn’t have someone, couldn’t read the omens Til I found you Til I found you And you don't know how you saved my life I can see the light I have flown away I have come alive I am blown away I have felt the love I can see the truth Now that I found you Now that I found you All my life I've waited For this day I've waited for you Now I adore you All my life I've waited For this day Have waited for you Now I adore you I can see the light I have flown away I have come alive I am blown away I have felt the love I can see the truth Now that I found you Now that I found you
  11. This is much better than the pink USA cover and really fits the late ‘90s aesthetic! The title color is too bright though so it’s hard to read. And her name probably shouldn’t be overlapping the title, so you might want to shift it up a little.
