  1. I think for the 80’s she did well and obviously help start up MTV I think Britney’s Influence especially in today’s world is much more impactful and remembered. Anytime anyone thinks of the vmas they think Britney, even today’s kids know her because of tik tok. “It’s Britney B*** is iconic and is embedded in pop culture and the general public alike. I can’t think of one thing ppl say about Madonna anymore, and it’s been that way for awhile.
  2. Because the the general public quit caring about Madonna decades ago. With the exception of ray of light... and possibly confessions on a dance floor. Both were received well critically and by her fans but not the GP hasn’t really cared for her in years. She’s definitely an artist but I don’t understand the obsession with her. Britney sings, dances, acts way better and should be queen of pop. Please don’t downvote just an opinion.
  3. Is this not the hat from “what you see is what you get” on the oops tour?
  4. Y’all did anyone else see her total assets were $54,000,000,? But only 2 million were cash? That breaks my heart that she’s one of the most successful selling artists in history, with a billion dollar frangrance empire and only has $2,000,000 in cash? I’m sick. Literally sick. Someone please tell me this is a joke or that maybe it doesn’t mean that she only has $2,000,000 in cash.
  5. I couldn’t imagine being Britney at that age. With all that going on. I just feel like at that time ya know mental health especially the mental health of women wasn’t seen in the same light it is now. I sit here and think about how the media treated her for having emotional issues and think I can’t imagine this happening in 2020. Sadly Britney was out in a time where it was ok to insult a woman over her looks, mental health, career choices. It’s sad.
  6. Right? I always saw this as normal. The way she speaks trying to control her tears seem normal to me and also for Britney she’s always kind of had her own way of speaking and it’s kind of cute but sad how her dorky and anxious side was the one to come out right before she cried. if we are talking about mk ultra the main proof of that would not be this interview but the hold it against me video. It’s so bizzare. It shows her attached to iv’s and don’t forget the bizzare fight between personalities. And then a symbolism from the white gown and then being raised back up after battle in black. The whole video is good but weird. I also have seen reports that she was out of it and didn’t want to film it. Has anyone ever came up with a theory for the meaning of the video? And if the reports about her behavior on set is true?
  7. I remember when slave come out and one of the nightly news shows were trying to dissect if the background vocals said “I just want to have *** with you.” Even though we know it says “I just want to dance next to you.” I remember the whole segment being about how they were listening in on that audio to see. Does anyone else remember that?

  10. Exactly! I live and grew up in the south. Walking around barefoot is not considered so taboo here it’s just something ppl do especially back in the day. A lot of the behavior Britney displayed in the days when she was being photographed non stop (2004-2007 specifically) never seemed to stare to me because I’m like oh ok she’s just being a southern woman. The only reason it seemed weird to the public was because the culture she’s in is Hollywood and they made a big deal about it. Like the whole driving with Sean on her lap, my dad and most other southern dads used to let their kids sit on their lap and pretend to steer or just sit, it’s just common place. I didn’t understand the outrage at the time and still don’t.
  11. Exactly! It’s hard for me to imagine a contract that lays out the terms of a $200 million dollar plus net worth was just not copied. Lou’s probably got it tattooed on her ***, as money hungry as she is.
  12. Let’s not forget the Britney era would’ve been huge had her team not pissed off radio sponsors. I feel like she would’ve charted higher but something like her team made a deal with another company that competed with the biggest radio sponsors of that time (clear, ever clear... what was the name of that company?) anyway because of the lack of push from radio her music especially during the Britney and ITZ eras were not played or promoted by radio really. Toxic should’ve been number one but Larry and jive messed that up.
  13. Does anyone have the link where here dancers surprised her wearing the pink underwear during boys one night?
