I am expecting her to come out as a solo act as well. But she has mentioned many times that she finds it really hard to be in a female pop group because people can't help compare each member to the other: who is your favourite? who sings the best? who looks the best? who dances the best?, etc. It is a bit hard to control the narrative if there are 3 other people with whom you're being on an equal level: there'll always be this natural disposition to compare people, to break the entity of the group into individual pieces and scrutinise each of them. That's tough! Especially when the GROUP sets a standard and you have to appeal to it. I'm not saying that haters will disappear if she goes solo but at least she'll have a little more power to sell herself in the light she wants to. You know, take control of the wheel, not be automatically compared to somebody else within her craft. Anyways, I'd highly recommend her not use social media and instead have a team that posts on her behalf, just for the sake of business and her mental health as well. It helps enormously!

Thanks! Happy about your friends. I still don't know what's happening with Christmas but there's a very small chance that I might celebrate it on my own as I'm far away from my family and I don't know what my friends will decide. Oh well. Hope you're doing better haha

You have no idea how effing pissed I am. Not because of the virus, I can't really change that, but because of the way they've been handling the situation. It was pretty damn clear that the situation wasn't going to get better and YET the four nations unanimously agreed to ease the restrictions for 5 days for Christmas. The decision was made in November! They PROMISED that everything would be okay and provided that people follow the restrictions, things should be fine. And now what?! 5 days before Christmas, they scrap everything. My question is: when it was pretty damn clear where we were going, why did the politicians make a promise and thus gave hope to certain people only to cancel it last minute?! I understand that the new strain is very infectious and all that but it was a mistake to promise something that clearly wasn't going to happen. Again, the issue is the way it's being handled. I'm not entirely sure how well the whole tier-system is working. The news really made me upset. Oh well. Here's to another year of craziness.

They're not necessarily comparing them vocally here but rather artistically in the pop genre. I don't like the expression they used but we have to give credit where it's due. Dua Lipa deserves album of the year.
