it look like "Framing Britney Spears" Trailer will give a major push to Free Britney Moment...I loved it when they mention "The way we treated her was disgusting". I think its the beginning of a new ray of light. FX and Hulu has announced that the sixth episode in the The New York Times Presents series of documentaries will be titled Framing Britney Spears. Produced by The New York Times and Left/Right, the documentary will stream on FX on Hulu on February 5, 2021. Her rise was a global phenomenon. Her downfall was a cruel national sport. People close to Britney Spears and lawyers tied to her conservatorship now reassess her career as she battles her father in court over who should control her life. The meteoric rise and disturbing fall of Britney Spears has devolved into a Kafkaesque court battle that has reawakened her fandom and raised pressing questions about mental health and an individuals’ rights. The New York Times Presents: Framing Britney Spears re- examines her career and offers a new assessment of the movement rallying against her court-mandated conservatorship, capturing the unsavory dimensions of the American pop-star machine. The series is executive produced by Jason Stallman, Sam Dolnick, Stephanie Preiss from The New York Times, and Ken Druckerman, Banks Tarver and Mary Robertson from Left/Right. Related:46 points

Raven Symone, a former child star herself has defended Britney Spears. Watch the video above. Comparing her to other pop stars like Justin bieber and Demi Lovato (which Raven said had multiple chances and always constantly blew it with relapse after relapse). Britney just had a breakdown and had her freedom taken, and in some ways had the media turned her into a freak show like Michael Jackson, saying without this, she would be dead.. If anything Raven said, she's probably thinking what kind of life is worth living, if I can't do what I want.34 points

Excuse me ? A second chance for what ? Forgiven for what exactly ? Did she kill someone ? Did she steal from someone ? She shaved her own hair on the top of her own head !! She cried sitting in the street at night while 75 old men were taking pictures all around her !! Why should she ask for a second chance ? Actually, she's the one who should be asked to give a second chance to this world !32 points

He said this about Britney in his post: “You always read a lot of stories about Britney but I have always found her to be a very friendly girl. Always cooperated well, pointed out her bodyguards when they acted unkind or unreasonable, always took the time for her fans and was also just very funny. Would love to have her in front of my lens again, too long ago!” Beautiful29 points

Look at Chris Brown and the whole Rihanna fiasco. He was forgiven. The reason Britney hasn’t is for one reason only - she’s a woman. Here in the UK last year we had a TV presenter Caroline Flack die. She took her own life after a pending court trial where she was being accused of assaulting her boyfriend. There were photos of blood which people said was his but was actually hers after she cut herself. Everyone came down on her so hard and they were going to make a show trial to prove a point so she hung herself. She also lost her job on one of the biggest TV shows of which she was the presenter. Dec (from Ant & Dec) was involved in a car crash not long before because he was drunk driving and going through a meltdown. He could have killed a child in another car. He is now back on prime time television like nothing happened and all is forgiven. Unfortunately women always get the tougher end of the deal. Britney is a woman - she is not forgiven.25 points

yet this is the “sane” one! the one that posts about killing cats and then retreats... the one that picks a huge knife to end a discussion in a restaurant... the one that got pregnant while a teen from a drug user and is heading to the third marriage.. the one that almost left her daughter drown to death.. the jealous unsuccessful UGLY sister that spends Britney’s money like there’s no tomorrow in things like Tesla cars... JL, you don’t fool us for a single second! Have some decency and stop spending HER money!25 points

What the **** is wrong with her ? She is insufferable I can't stand her entitled ***. If Britney ran over one cat even by accident she would be locked in psych ward by James and Lou (allegedly). This ***** admits killing dozens of cats with Tesla Britney bought, and gets to act like a ***** on top of everything.25 points

I think it has to do with what society was like back then. At least in my country, substance abuse was something very taboo and having mental health problems was considered a weak thing. Thank God, society has advanced and has stopped judging so much. Sadly, Britney was famous in an emotionally unintelligent generation.21 points

Hey Exhale, there's a lot to absorb here so I'll be brief 🙏 I haven't written a formal story in more than a year, but I felt inspired to get my thoughts out about my experience covering Britney's conservatorship since day one. Once I started writing, the words came flowing out. I was a 19-years-old when the conservatorship was first was put into place. In the time since, I got a degree in journalism, worked in marketing, became an entrepreneur, a community leader and now an activist. I'm now 32. I published an article about my experience onto Medium, a self-publishing blogging platform. There's potential my story gets picked up by curators there and shown to thousands of new people (which is important because we want new people to know about what's going on). I filmed a video about writing this story (see above), so there's a lot of content for you to sink your teeth into. Read my article on Medium: Chapter I: You’re gonna have to see through my perspective Exhale, I could really use your support! Check out the video, check out the article, and please engage with both as much as possible. The more attention these items receive, the more they reach new people (gotta love the algorithms). Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Medium article. I think it's the best thing I've ever written. 🙏 @Blaze @Ember @Fire @Flame @Inferno @Phoenix @Solar Flare @Spark @Twitter Team @Super Moderators20 points

I'm a little hesitant about the line that said something like "she was accepting of a conservatorship, just not her dad being conservator," but this looks promising. It's good to see this being publicized (any attention to the cause is good) and filmmakers/journalists being interested in investigating the topic.19 points

From what I recall, when I was speaking with them, it was not meant to be recorded. So I was wearing an oversized purple Prince shirt and hair looking a mess 😂. The woman interviewing me was so compelled that she asked if she could start recording the convo. And I was like but I wasn’t going to say no of course lol. So if I do somehow make the episode prepare for Trolldan From my recollection they were pretty neutral, however it was clear (at least to me) this was meant to shed light on the injustice of it all. Didn’t feel pro conservatorship to me at all. Now, what the episode will air remains to be seen. That’s just my recollection. All in all it was a good experience being interviewed for it.19 points
