Honestly who cares? We just want her free right now. She's probably not decided what she wants to do, she'll have better perspective when she's free. She's made it clear she's on a hiatus, so I don't expect nor need a 'retirement' announcement, she's clearly going through a major transitional period in her life. Let's get her free and then she can decide what she wants and not make any rash decisions about 'retiring'. She's on hiatus, I've accepted that so that's good enough for me - I personally do not see the need for an announcement of a 'retirement' when everything about her life is currently up in the air for her. I'll support her whether she wants to retire one day or not, along as she's doing what she wants and is happy. Her career is the least important thing to her right now - as it should be.

I feel like this is the majorities opinion, however it's always the journalist with the out of the ordinary opinion that writes these. If I'm being real. . . a few of these don't even belong on the list. Katy ,Taylor and Bruno are on this list but Janet isn't? Also the placing of Taylor and Katy above Madonna AND Britney is insane. I want Britney to do what Britney wants to do, when SHE only wants to do it. Right now, I think she’s doing the smartest thing she can do by refusing to work until her father is removed. When all is over with and she’s free, I do think she will return to music. As she’s said herself, it’s a form of therapy for her. It runs in her veins and deep down she will always be passionate about it. Entertaining is her CAREER, much like we all have. She has other main priorities like gaining her freedom back that should and will always come second to her career. We don’t put our job over our major life priorities such as health etc, and she shouldn’t either! If Brit chooses to retire, I would understand as well and be happy with whatever she chooses.

I kinda think she wanted to.. She always sounded like, she wanted to retire young, when she had her kids, cos she didn't want to be that working mom.. And she always sounded also in my eyes, That she didn't want to be those other acts and overstay her welcome.. She was that way before her kids. Maybe she changed her mind, which knows?
