  2. I also heard the grand entrance will be Britney coming from the Disney studios and they will fly her over via Jet... that's why they need the extra 7 minutes as you claim.. Once she touches down to the stadium, all of the old Mickey Mouse stars will also come out of the Jet... Her old dancers from her first tour will help her walk down the stairs, she will walk the entire stadium and then not say anything. FIREWORKS GO OFF.... And then Britney Spears will be joined by Don Phillip, Madonna, Iggy, G Eazy, and her old band members of Innosense. Britney runs off the field and we don't hear a single thing from Britney.

  8. Wtf... her numbers are insanely good. And she did all that money with 30 dates only Katy Perry did almost the same amount with an outstanding stage and production and a lot more dates, I can't. We stan a profitable Queen Edit: Katy did 74 shows in 2018 alone in North America, South America, Europe, Australia and Africa . Britney just did 31 shows in two continents. Effortless queen

  19. So I was listening to Paparrazi and it hit me that the underlying theme of Gaga’s entire first era was not only inspired by Britney Spears career but her rise and fall. You can almost look at ‘The Fame’ era being a continuation of Britney’s career in art form or even a paradigm shift in what we expect out of a pop star at the wrap of the 2000s decade. Once upon a time, we all had this narrative of Britney Spears as being this sweet, innocent, little girl that we felt so protective of, yet as she got older and tried to explore herself, she was shunned and crucified. When Spears was happy, the world was happy, yet when she was unhappy or did something unexpected, society tore her down through pointing fingers, which was a sign that we weren’t happy. It’s like we all vicariously lived through her. She was a representation of what we aspired to be, idolized by many, envied, and because the world felt a connection to her, sudddnly everyone felt entitled to their own opinions. Fame kills, Lady Gaga stated. And at that time we had just witnessed one of the biggest downfalls of a public figure in pop culture history. Fortunately, in 2008, we found that Britney was making a comeback and leading a more balanced life, yet something was off. The Britney we once knew and fell in love with was sort of masked behind this personification of a false image. We saw a human fall right before our eyes in front of the world due to the fame and that’s where I feel Lady Gaga based her theme and image on. Next thing you know, it’s no longer Britney’s world but Gaga’s world. There was this one interview I remember reading where it said that Lady Gaga studied the culture behind tabloids and magazines and through this process, the inspiration behind her debut album came to life. From 1999/2000 to 2008, Britney was not only the biggest name in pop music, but she was the biggest celebrity in the world. Her peak and public interest was bigger than herself, so much that she couldn’t even keep up being Britney Spears. Then suddenly in 2009, Lady Gaga became the it-girl, a shift from what we expected our pop stars to be and look like. You can argue and say Gaga’s image was the exact opposite, yet the way I see it is thet Gaga was a continuation of where Britney had left off, which is so crazy to think about!! Suddenly, Britney was no longer the biggest demand of pop in the world after a run of ten years. The scrutiny behind fame is what Gaga illuminated through her artistry. As an article stated, “Gaga clocked this phenomenon in her own subversive way—and showed just how sinister it truly is.” TLDR version - ‘The Fame’ and Gaga’s launch was completely inspired by not just Britney’s career, but her rise and fall. Overtime, our society’s image of what a polished pop star should look and act like had shifted. That is where I notice many parallels between Britney’s debut and Gaga’s debut. Britney was the representation of a perfect, polished, pretty-in-pink, virginal pop star while Gaga’s debut represented a woman who wasn’t afraid to be outspoken, crazy and different. Both often imitated, yet never duplicated but it also goes to show just how widespread Britney’s impact and influence on the landscape of pop was.

  26. Nope, Jive, RCA and every other record label in the world HIRES the artist. An artist, in effect, is an employee for the record label, although the “employment terms” may differ from artist to artist, and the artists themselves may have more leverage on contract negotiations based on past performance, commercial success and/or talent. Britney works under a contract. If the artist isn’t putting in the effort and/or isn’t seeing commercial success, they’re usually dropped. In most cases, especially for a massive pop star like Britney, the expertise and business networks owned by the major labels remain the best bet for her in terms of commercial success, which is ultimately what launched her into superstardom. For example —If it wasn’t for Jive’s contract and business affairs with Max Martin, we wouldn’t have even had a BOMT. Do you realize how stupid you sound?

  28. Jive wanted to go with Outrageous and Boom Boom which I guess made sense in that R.Kelly wrote and was one of the producers of Outrageous, and he was very much a hot name at the time because he was writing a lot of hits for himself and other acts at the time. With Boom Boom, crunk music was on the rise at the time and Ying Yang Twins was having a big hit with GET LOW at the time. Britney had to fight for MATM and Toxic and was worth it and most likely made it easy for Everytime to become a single Round of applause for Britney for knowing what was best

  29. His name is David Lasky. He modeled and fully carved the Toxic tree. He also worked for Madonna, Lady Gaga among others... For Madonna he hand detailed the ornamental fascia on the table for her MDNA tour. For Gaga he "designed/modeled the form for the backdrop, hand carved the crystal fascia surrounding entire stage, modeled the Gaga Claw, then carved final form. For the 2014 Art Pop Tour." Pretty cool. Here's his portfolio if you're interested: https://dclasky.myportfolio.com/projects

  35. they probably used it as their Christmas tree this year (and the next 50 years)

  36. Reasons why this is bullshit: 1) Briney records 30+ songs before choosing the definitive songs for every album, she doesn't record them one by one. 2) The release date is bullshit. They fix a date when the album's done not almost a year before and when it's on the recording process. 3) 2-4 collaborations? How would they know that by now? most collaborations happen by the end of the recording sessions. They send demos or finished songs to the artists they want to include. this "insider" is clearly an attention *****
