It is actually very bad news to see that it's NECA making the doll.

For people who are not familiar with NECA here's an exemple of what they produced in the past:

the doll is fully poseable so its going to look very different from the figurine you posted.

for example heres some they have done which are all very high quality

I love LootCrate but this is horrible. They're giving no hint as to what's in it. Normally LootCrate offers (well, the Marvel ones at least) a poster, a shirt, a pin, a cool everyday item (cap, mug, beach towel, etc).... This is just a sweater, and dolls that we have no clue what it'll look like?

That's a hard no for me. If I'm gonna shell out money for LootCrate exclusives I wanna know what I'm getting. This is a terrible deal.

they told me that each box will ship every three months and each doll launches in october to coincide with each box...like damn we gotta wait 4 years to see what all the dolls look like...if they keep up with it? lol

i guess they are seeing how many doll orders they get and go off of that.

Yes but what you posted are cartoon/cartoonish characters. They already look like dolls. I'm not saying that Neca only did bad products, but what they are very bad at is recreating realistic human faces. And since Britney is a human and not a creepy doll or a disproportionate character, I'm a bit worried. :awks_britney_side_eye_awkward_2011_ff_femme_Fatale:

Also, the one I posted was also marketed as "fully poseable" so...

The only way they could do something cool it would be to create a stylized version of Britney (kinda like Funko does) but if Neca sticks to the "realistic" human doll it would probably be a mess. The mold and sculpt are usually good but it's just how they paint it that make it horrible. The one I posted has incredible re-paint but the retail version is still horrible. :ehum_britney_um_unsure_confused_what:

I'm not saying they are going to mess up the Britney doll, but they have prooved in the past that they can't make beautiful doll inspired by a human being. Maybe they will do something really good with Britney but the concept art (that looks like it was drawn by a 13 yo btw) + the fact that they are not showing even the prototype for pre-order... it's not smelling good. :cheese_Britney_awkward_cringe_eek:

but yeah, Neca did some good stuff so who knows :boredashell_pink_britney_hmm_blink_well_umm:

I'm honestly really wanting a good looking Britney doll so I wish the outcome will be good, but I won't pre-order anything before I can see at leat the protoype.

Nope, Not Anymore.  Britney Is Paying The Lawyers That SHE Wants 1000 An Hour, Then She Needs Financial Support.  I’m Not Longer Boycotting The Brand Because Our Girl Needs Money Being Brought In To Pay These Legal Bills.

Britney Spears Drops New Merch Collaboration

The pop superstar has been on indefinite hiatus, but she’s giving fans a chance to re-live her glory days with a new merch and apparel box with Loot Crate.

Products featured are independently selected by our editorial team and we may earn a commission from purchases made from our links; the retailer may also receive certain auditable data for accounting purposes.

Britney Spears may be taking a break from the spotlight, but the pop superstar is giving fans a chance to re-live her glory days with the release of an all-new merchandise collaboration with Loot Crate. The Britney Spears Limited Edition Series Loot Crate launches today, with a box of merch inspired by the singer’s 14-time platinum debut single, “Baby One More Time.”

Loot Crate

The officially licensed partnership will include three more boxes filled with exclusive fan gear, Britney-themed apparel, and one-of-a-kind accessories. Each crate is named after one of Spears’ biggest hits, launching with the “Baby One More Time” box this month. Subsequent boxes will be themed after “Oops!… I Did It Again,” “Toxic,” and “Circus.”

The “Baby One More Time” box pays homage to Spears’ debut release, which Rolling Stone recently named as the greatest debut single of all time. The corresponding crate is filled with merchandise and collectibles released just for this collaboration, including a tie-dye hoodie, notebook, pom-pom pen, and a stainless steel tumbler.

Britney Spears “Baby One More Time” Loot Crate, $59.99, available at Loot Crate

Anyone who purchases the crate will also get first dibs in pre-ordering a new limited-edition Britney Spears doll. The 12-inch doll is fully posable and features a custom-sewn outfit inspired by the now-iconic schoolgirl uniform in the “Baby One More Time” video. The collectible doll retails for $39.99 here and the set includes a stand, doll accessories and a windowpane display box.

Spears has stayed relatively quiet since postponing her Las Vegas residency in 2019, reportedly due to her father’s failing heath (curiously, she recently filed a motion to have him removed from overseeing her conservatorship). The singer did drop a previously unreleased track, “Mood Ring,” in May, and she tweeted her support for the interactive, Britney-themed museum, “The Zone,” earlier in the year, though she did not attend its opening.

Fans have continued to show their support for the pop princess. “Mood Ring” shot to Number One on the iTunes charts immediately after its release, while tickets to “The Zone” were selling out before the pop-up space was shut down due to the coronavirus. And while some supporters of the #FreeBritney movement have questioned the motivation behind these projects, many steadfast fans are eager to continue throwing their support — and dollars — behind their beloved artist.

Spears has not yet promoted or commented on the new merch collection with Loot Crate, but a rep from the company says the partnership was officially licensed by her team.

The first crate of the Britney Spears Limited Edition Series is available to order now and ships in December. Each quarterly themed crate costs $59.99 and is available to order on LootCrate.com. The limited-run series is one-of-a-kind, so once each crate is sold out, it will not be available again.

Eww, that's it? But you need to buy the crate so you can pre-order the doll? UGH. :imacat_cat_hiss_meme_white_kitty_mad:

In the middle of a court battle.... :idkney_britney_glory_carpool_karaoke_unsure_idk_nervous:

What would happen if Britney wins over Jamie and fire Tri Star, which operate business for the "Britney brand", right after? Would contracts be cancelled or invalidated in some form? Im just curious....

No surprise Britney's brand can sell pretty much anything, like dolls in 2020/21. Done correctly and resulting in very hq products, homegurl could make lots of bucks. It would mean the world if those sort of things happens after Britney regain control over her brand, but like this? right now? I'll pass cause I dont wanna give Lou my hard earned coins :overitkbye_britney_annoyed_leave_leaving_goodbye_blue:

So I finally pre-ordered even if we don't have actual picture of it yet, and I pre-ordered only the doll and not the crate (since it's 2 separated items on their website) and it's already a mess.

The doll page product says it will be available spring 2021 but the confirmation email is saying that I will get it at the end of december...

I hope I didn't subscribe to a multi payment thing by mistake, I only wanted the doll :cheese_Britney_awkward_cringe_eek:

Thank you guys for answering I feel less lonely in this mess :imcute_britney_ftr_for_the_record_hat_paris_french_smile_grin_happy:

I checked out a little bit more the website and it says that each doll complete the basic crate. So I don't think you have to buy the crate to get the doll, but you have to buy the doll separatly to get the full thing.

When you check your account it says that it's a "one crate". So I think we are fine lol Can't wait to see what she looks like !

So we'll get the Baby doll with her school outfit, but what about the others ? Oops doll will probably be the redcatsuit, Toxic maybe the blue dress (even if honestly I would LOVE the black catsuit with red hair) and Circus ? It's hard to imagine what outfit they'll use. Maybe the ringleader tour outfit ?

By the way I can't believe they didn't choose to make a blackout doll...
