Community Super Mods Urbanney 18,266 Posted May 1, 2020 Community Super Mods Share Posted May 1, 2020 Yes, there were some problems with it. It’s basically Nicole’s song and the actual song was released weirdly waaaay late after the promo performances. However, the women SERVED in the music video and the song is an absolute bop. It’s a modern version of a pop dance anthem from the late 2000s. Imagine 10 years going by and looking and performing better than ever. Thoughts? 8 Quote #FreeBritney Link to post
WorkBishStan94 653
I was so sad it flopped however, I feel like it was bound to happen. Have any of the pop girls from the 2000s or even 2010s have had hits recently? 1 Quote Link to post
Thecodeman25 2,664
Did it chart anywhere? 1 Quote Link to post

Shakiras chantaje hit 2.5 b views All her recent singles have hit 500m+Views except her very recent one but it’s already got 70m in like 3 weeks don’t mind me always promoting shakira on this forum 3 1 2 Quote Link to post
Alxatc 586
It was not one of their better songs.... kinda basic imo 1 Quote Link to post
Britney'sBish 4,403
Guys they aren't on Interscope anymore, they're on an independent label. You can't gauge their success the way you normally would because there was no payola or label push. They've actually done very well for an independent release and it landed on a good amount of charts. 3 1 Quote Link to post
Popular Post IForgotYouExisted 6,932
I love the song but they did a horrible job promoting it. First of all; they should have released it RIGHT AFTER their X Factor performance and not wait months. Their performance was hot news and was watched by many people. I expected them to release React right after the performance but did not which was a huge mistake. Second, it leaked weeks if not months ahead of its release and they did nothing. Third, people were expecting more PCD and less Nicole and her backup dancers as they said multiple times that this time, the other dolls will be in the spotlight too. People are just sick about Nicole and the dolls and want THE DOLLS. 4th, they didn't even post their performance on their own channel... So yeah it's their own fault it flopped 5 5 Quote Link to post
dark_wolf 213
The problem is, they released it 2 months after the performance, I assume people lost interest. Then, the controversy about the flop cover (the "Eyes" one), the controversy of the demo and people really thought they won't keep the same old formula that made the group falling appart. And the cherry on top : the song itself (even it's catchy & I like it), it was Nicole's song with some background vocals of the Dolls. Even the music video screams Nicole. For a comeback song, all the Dolls SHOULD have sung. I totally understand why Baby Doll (Melody Thornton) decided not to be apart of the reunion. She is a singer. 2 1 Quote Link to post
Exhale+ Brat 7,308 Posted May 1, 2020 Exhale+ Share Posted May 1, 2020 We should have an album or at least an EP. we also needed a remix EP. the promotion wasn’t great 1 1 Quote Just let me give you one last test, is that a sin? https://soundcloud.com/jacod Link to post

The big corporates have some bigger techniques for marketing right? 1 Quote Link to post
Exhale+ ColdAsFire88 8,406 Posted May 1, 2020 Exhale+ Share Posted May 1, 2020 I liked their older music. Can’t say I was super excited for their return but I wasn’t against it either. I listened to the song once and thought meh. I watched the video and thought Nicole + her back up dancers looked hot 1 2 Quote *~Living Legend You Can Look But Don't Touch ~* Link to post
xkhingx 2,655
if they released right after the x factor performance it would have done MUCH better. i literally forgot about it until i saw it on a site with leaked music and i had no interest of hearing it. that being said when it got released officially i listened to it and loved it but most people wouldn’t even remember it 2 months after the performance 1 1 Quote Link to post
jennyj 8,434
It's not their fault. It was really bad timing - it was released about the time the lockdowns started. Everything released in the last few weeks from all artists have flopped and even things like phone sales have flopped. It's strange because it's all streamed and bought digitally anyway, but it's just a really weird time right now where everything's a flop lol. It still did very well on YouTube though. Heck, even Beyonce was featured in a single remix today of a very popular TikTok song and it's flopping too (even though it's surprisingly good). I hope they somehow rejuvenate React later when this is all over, but I think the album + single #2 need to be on hold until this is over. And they got to be bangers. 1 Quote Link to post
Bigno 722
Well, if people cared enough for Nicole, she would have been successful as a solo artist. She was not. Why do they keep shoving her down our throats? 2 1 Quote Link to post
ParadiseLost 64
it deserved to flop just because of the way she said par-tee in the beginning of the song. Video was AMAZING though... 1 2 Quote Link to post
