  1. Kabah and JNS, Mexican pop bands from the 90's, released a music video for their Rainbow Mashup collaboration on Valentine's Day. The mashup is made out of two of their hits, JNS' Corazón Confidente (2001), which was released when the group was still called Jeans, and Kabah's La Calle de las Sirenas (1996). The two 90's icons were supposed to embark on a joint tour last year, but it was cancelled due to the COVID pandemic.
  2. Mexican singer Danna Paola released yesterday the music video for Amor Ordinario, the eighth single off her latest album K.O. The music video, which is currently #1 On Trending in Mexico, was shot in December at the Val'Quirico resort in the state of Tlaxcala, which was perfect for the theme of the video which takes place in the Medieval period. In the dramatic clip we see her suffer for the love of a man who is already with another girl, as she performs for them at a dinner. In the end she offers him a drink which has been poisoned with an unknown substance she keeps on a heart-shaped bottle necklace. She also drinks from this beverage and they both perish before the video finishes. During a livestream before the premiere of the video, Danna Paola confessed that Amor Ordinario (translated as Ordinary Love) is one of the most vulnerable songs off her album and it was perfect to be released around Valentine's. She'll be performing a virtual concert later today called Welcome to My Break up Party Related:
  3. So out of nowhere, Thalia released a cover of 1992 Christian song En Ti, originally performed by Marco Barrientos. She explains she recorded the song a few weeks ago and that it has helped her in various stages of her life. The new version was produced by Chuy Nuñez and Armando Ávila and a lyric video was done by MG Video Productions.
  4. Over the last few days, Mexican singer Thalia has celebrated the digital release of her first three records, which original came out three decades ago. On January 31, they occupied the top two positions on the Mexican iTunes chart, as well as the #4: Thalía (1990) - #1 Love (1992) - #2 Mundo de Cristal (1991) - #4 These three albums were Thalia's first solo efforts after being a member of one of the biggest Latin American pop bands, Timbiriche, from 1986 to 1989. Released through the now defunct record label Melody / Fonovisa, they had been absent from digital stores, until last week. Parallel to her singing career, she was the co-host of a TV show in Spain, VIP Noche, and in 1992 she starred on what would be one of the most successful gigs of her career, the "María's Trilogy" of telenovelas, three soap operas that were seen by more than 2.2 billion people around the world across 182 countries: María Mercedes (1992), Marimar (1994) and María la del Barrio (1995). Her last telenovela would be Rosalinda in 1999. In 1994 she signed with EMI, with which she recorded 7 studio albums, and since 2012 she's released 6 more studio albums, this time with Sony Music, as well as two live albums.
  5. Thalía had a successful career in soap opera around the world while building a singing career yet like JLo and Shakira she was never able to achieve the same success of her other colleagues. She even tried singing in English like the colombian native did but failed miserably. Not helped also that she’s married to Tommy Mottola, Mariah Carey ex husband who launched her career. What do you guys think? Do you know Thalia?
  6. Mexico and Colombia join forces in this new track TICK TOCK by pop diva Thalia featuring Sofía Reyes and Farina. The three singers have been releasing a series of episodes through Thalia's Facebook page, called Latin Queens where they showed their journey in recording this song. Today they finally premiered the music video where we see them as cowgirls dancing in different scenarios with lots of colors and lights as they sing to a man to better take advantage before the time runs out, as the clock goes TOCK - TICK - TOCK - TICK Watch it here: Related:
  7. Mexican singer and actress Danna Paola has teamed up with Brazilian Luísa Sonza and Spanish Aitana for a new song titled Friend de Semana (which is a wordplay in Spanish for weekend + friend ). The urban track plays lyrically with the theme of telling the love interest what they've done the entire week and how they've failed to forget him, as well as what they're planning to do on the weekend. Mainly in Spanish, Luísa also incorporates some verses in Portuguese. The music video takes place in a school, where the singers plays the roles of principal, teacher, coach, as well as students from the soccer and basketball team, as well as the lab class. Related:
  8. Mexican singer and actress Kika Edgar has covered a 90's classic in Latin Pop, Mi Historia Entre Tus Dedos. The song was originally performed by Italian singer Gianluca Grignani, titled La mia sotria tra le dita, in 1994. The song became a classic in Mexico and Latin America, but since he never released more singles, or if he did, they paled in comparison, he remained as a mysterious one hit wonder ever since, but the song is still played regularly on radio stations. If you're in for a moody, more alternative kind of pop, make sure to give it a watch Kika has made a career in television, movies and theater, but she's also released several albums ever since she competed in a singing reality show where celebrities helped normal people to fight for a dream. Earlier this year she revisited some of her hits and released new versions of them:
  9. Mexican singer Paty Catú's latest single, Conocerte, is a dancey song that's expected to be part of her upcoming album La Mexicana. Earlier this week, she released a music video for it where she dances in a dusty set full of colors and glitter to the beats of the track. Give it a watch: A few months ago she released La Mexicana, featuring Hispana.
  10. On October 9, 1990, Mexican singer Thalía released her first album, called Thalía too (it would be the first of three homonym albums ). After being part of the most successful pop band in Mexico at the time, Timbiriche, from 1987 to 1989, she decided to leave the band and move the United States to study at the UCLA. She learned English, besides taking dance, singing and acting classes. She returned to Mexico to record her first LP produced Alfredo Díaz Ordaz whom she would later become romantically involved. The album sold over 200K copies in Mexico, and she's released 15 other albums ever since, as well as several compilations, live albums and EP's. 4 singles were released to promote the album: Un Pacto Entre los Dos, Saliva, Amarillo Azul and Pienso en Ti. Sadly, her first three records are very hard to find on digital platforms due to problems with the record label. She also had an acting career from the late 80s until 2000, and she was known as the Queen of Telenovelas in Mexico. Her music style has changed a lot over the years, and she continues very active to this day. Just yesterday she released her latest single, a collaboration with Colombian artist Farina. Related:

  12. 🎤🎤🎤🎤💃🏻💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼 JNS formerly (Jeans) is a Mexican pop girl band formed in the early 90s in Mexico. Throughout the group's history, there were frequent line-up changes. They were active from its inception until 2008. During 2015, Angie Taddei, Karla Díaz-Leal, Melissa López and Regina Murguía meet again and began a tour to promote the album Dèjá Vu.
