Britney Spears forthcoming single “My Prerogative” is under the process of being serviced to international and domestic radio stations within the next two weeks. The single, which has been produced by Bloodshy & Avant (who are responsible for the singer’s smash “Toxic”) have reworked the old Bobby Brown hit and have given it a more “Toxic” meets “Girls And Boys” feel.
The single has been recieved by several mass-market stations and has a tentative release of September 6th 2004 release in most of Canada and the United States. However, this is a tentative release date and has not been confirmed nor denied by Jive Records which can change the release date to as late as mid-September.
Along with the original radio cut of “My Prerogative”, an un-named “My Prerogative Remix” has been serviced and has a very R&B feel. The “Outrageous” meets “The Hook Up” feel for the remix gives Bobby Brown’s original a great salute. “My Prerogative” will be released with Britney Spears upcoming greatest hits collection entitled “My Prerogative…Greatest Hits” on November 16th, 2004.
