We saw this coming from a mile away. The rapper rolled out a semi-viral marketing campaign this fall for a fake description drug called “Revival.” There’s a website and everything. It was his clever attempt at teasing his forthcoming studio album.
The first release, “Walk On Water,” featuring Beyonce, was billed to be the album’s lead, but after a lukewarm response it’s now getting dubbed as a buzz track. Yikes. Which made his recent Saturday Night Live performance/medley a little awkward. Nevertheless, the album is officially on its way.
Dr. Dre posted a promo video in-line with the Revival Rx theme, but the guy in the clip comes clean.
