Eminem And The Weeknd Will Join Beyonce As Coachella Headliners

January 2, 2018 By Jordan Miller

Two superstars added to Beyoncella.

UPDATE // JANUARY 2, 2018:

The rumors were true! The Weeknd and Eminem are also co-headlining Coachella.

EARLIER // DECEMBER 20, 2017:

Eminem and The Weeknd might headline Coachella 2018.

Even though there are tons of acts to look forward to, when we (the collective Internet) think of next year’s Coachella, we think of Beyonce. It’s basically Beyoncella, and that’s fine, but she’ll have to share the spotlight (will she?) with two other superstars.

According to Consequence of Sound, The Weeknd and Eminem will be the main acts for the other two weekends.

Here’s a copy + paste quote from the site that’s got some details FYI:

“Each headliner will top the festival’s bill for the first time: Eminem made his first and only Coachella appearance in 2012 as a surprise guest of Dr. Dre. Beyoncé was originally set to headline last year, but was forced to postpone her appearance after becoming pregnant with twins. She previously made surprise onstage appearances in 2010 and 2014. As for The Weeknd, he performed twice at Coachella and appeared as a surprise guest in 2017, though like Em and Beyoncé, he’ll be headlining the main stage for the first time.”

It’s worth mentioning that Beyonce is featured on Eminem’s recently released Revival single, “Walk On Water,” and has collaborated with The Weeknd in the past on Lemonade cut “Six Inch Heels.” Here’s to hoping she sticks around the entire time and jumps on stage for a couple collabos. HIGHLY doubtful, but a gay can dream.
