Emeli Sandé Teams Up With Jay Electronica And Áine Zion On “Garden”: Listen

November 15, 2016 By Jordan Miller

“Love is like a garden, love is like a death sentence.”

Emeli Sandé sings “Garden” amidst a hazy tropical forest in her latest visual off Long Live The Angels, which debuted last Friday (Nov. 11). Zion and Electronica appear at separate times throughout the clip.

In the Charlie Robins-directed vid, fashionable black youth show the many sides to love with an artistic spin. There’s roses, harrowing masks, gloomy stares and unity.

“Love is like a garden, love is like a death sentence.”

Emeli Sandé shares the next cut off her forthcoming album, Long Live the Angels, out Nov. 11 via Capitol Records.

“‘Garden’ is one of my favorite songs from the album. It is an expression of freedom and passion, two important parts of life, which I hadn’t really explored until a few years ago,” Sandé says of the song in a statement. “It was a great honor to work with the genius Jay Electronica and I’m very excited to introduce a very special talent, Áine Zion.”
