Reason 412 that James Corden is the most entertaining late night host.

Ellie Goulding stopped by The Late Late Show with James Corden and re-imagined her hit single “Love Me Like You Do” in a variety of genres.

James Corden is getting quite the reputation as a maverick of late night programming thanks to his out-of-the-box segments and many musical tricks, but he may have excelled himself with Ellie Goulding last night (November 24.)

Performing her signature hit, “Love Me Like You Do,” the pair cycled through almost every imaginable genre in the space of almost four minutes, including classic rock, country and a surprisingly touching folk version of the ’50 Shades of Gray’ track.

Armed with a plethora of props and a full gospel choir, James clearly doesn’t do anything by halves, a fact for which we are endlessly grateful. All we need now is for Corden to make ‘remix-up’ one of the reoccurring segments on his show which include the infamous carpool karaoke.
