If I said I’m sorry, would you hold it against me? Femme Fatale executive-producer Dr. Luke won’t! He dropped a defamation lawsuit against the Bellamy Brothers in August after they claimed he plagiarized the line “if I said I want your body now, would you hold it against me?” from Britney’s first single Hold It Against Me off her seventh studio album. They released a song in the seventies that had the line “If I Said You Had a Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me?”

Their apology according to the court docs:

The Bellamy Brothers apologize to Dr. Luke and Max Martin for the Bellamys’ public statements and any false impressions suggested by the statements on their website that Dr. Luke and Max Martin copy the works of others.

No damages were awarded.
