The collab you didn’t know you needed.

I’ve spent a lot of time resisting the crushing gravitational pull that is Lil Nas X’s viral song, “Old Town Road,” but I surrender. I’m now more intrigued than ever.

After releasing a string of remixes of it, featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, Diplo and most recently Young Thug and Mason Ramsey on three separate versions, there could be another on the way with Dolly Parton and rapper Megan Thee Stallion.

Dolly responded to Lil Nas X’s request for a collab by re-posting the artwork. She didn’t confirm one way or another, but Dolly has close ties with Cyrus, so it’s likely happening.

The track is about to break the record for holding the top spot the longest on the Hot 100. Next week, “Old Town Road” will tie Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber’s “Despacito” record. The song topped the Hot 100 for 16 weeks, as did Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day.” Speaking of… Mariah wants in – she even hinted at hopping on a remix as well. 2019 is wild y’all.
