UPDATE: The music video premiered. Yes, the official one.

UPDATE // AUGUST 31: The official music video for DJ Mustard, Nicki Minaj and Jeremih’s collaboration “Don’t Hurt Me” premiered, and it’s a cartoon. Sugar Brown said it best when she muttered ‘ain’t nobody got time fo dat.’ Watch:

DJ Mustard, Nicki Minaj and Jeremih’s laid-back collaboration on “Don’t Hurt Me” is ****, ****, ****.

The supa dupa producer toned down the production gymnastics on his latest effort, accompanying Minaj’s neutral rap about her rockin’ *** life and Jeremih’s smooth hooks with a subdued beeping beat. Minaj name-drops LeBron James, Steph Curry, Michael Jordan, Penelope Cruz and Rick James, meanwhile Jeremih keeps it casual:

“Don’t hurt me, hurt me, hurt me/ You know I like it naughty, naughty, naughty.”

No word where this song will call home, but most likely it’ll end up on Mustard’s followup to his 2014 debut 10 Summers, which already produced the banging cut “Whole Lotta Lovin‘” featuring Travis Scott.
