Deadmau5 Pops Off On Justin Bieber And His ‘Expensive’ Taste
Here comes trouble!
deadmau5 just can’t …
Justin Bieber and his team are doing their best to make sure that his well-executed PR campaign back to public favor goes smoothly, but there’s bound to be some bumps along the way. On Tuesday (August 25), the Biebster, Diplo and Skrillex made headlines for deconstructing their sleeper hit, “Where Are Ü Now,” with The New York Times, and it was pretty damn amazing. They even chatted about how they came up with that damn dolphin-sounding riff.
However, when describing the overall feel of the cut, JB said: “The sounds that are used are not cheap. They’re very expensive-sounding sounds.” We can imagine that deadmau5’s reaction went something like this considering what happened next.
Cue the Twitter rant in 3 … 2 … 1
“its expensive. the sounds we used are not cheap. theyre very expensive sounds” holy fuck. i just cant. im done. https://t.co/LpNLKCwRPE
We have to admit that we cringed at Justin’s choice of words even before deadmau5 popped off. It sounded a bit pompous and self-important for our taste considering the pop star still has a long way to go to make sure this new album campaign is a full on success. For now, let’s just call it poor choice of wording and go back to listening to the summer bop … or you could listen to this.
