Survive The Summer: Iggy Azalea Cancels Tour

Iggy Azalea cancels her second tour in three years.

UPDATE // OCTOBER 8:

The rapper was forced to cancel the Bad Girls Tour “due to unforeseen circumstances,” read a statement from Live Nation.

“Believe me, I was really excited for this tour, and I’m genuinely disappointed it can’t happen this year. The choice was out of my hands and not call to make. I hope I will get to see you all in person one day. I love you,” Iggy said.

“All I can do is keep pushing, keep recording and keep a smile on my face.”

The unforeseen circumstances is more than likely low ticket sales. Most venues were nowhere near being sold to capacity (I checked one spot last week, and it was 95% unsold).

Rapper CupcakKe was scheduled to tour with Iggy, but pulled out last week. She ultimately revealed it was due to a massive cut in payment.

Justice for Iggy. She doesn’t deserve this!

EARLIER // OCTOBER 3:

Iggy Azalea’s tour is having trouble surviving the fall.

The Australian rap princess is gearing up to kick off her first North American tour in four years, the Bad Girls Tour, in support of her new EP, Survive The Summer, but it’s already taken a major hit.

CupcakKe was slated to open for Iggz, but for reasons unknown the “Deepthroat” rapper pulled out.

“Due to a change of plans, i unfortunately will no longer be able to attend tour with Iggy,” CupcakKe Tweeted. “I’m grateful for the opportunity… and I’ll be going on tour by myself when the album drops …. be looking out for dates .. thanks.”

Ouch. Change of plans?

The Internet suspects Iggy’s tour is in trouble – she’s performing in pretty large venues, and some worry ticket sales are less than stellar.

No one wins here.
