Earlier this year, Britney attended a conservatorship hearing, causing a slew of rumors claiming it would end in February, but we’re nearing the end of March and nothing’s changed.
Tomorrow, a continuation meeting is scheduled, but don’t get your hopes up. Britney’s lawyers advise her to stay in the conservatorship until after the lawsuit with Sam Lutfi is settled to avoid forcing her to testify.
“Lawyers for Britney’s conservatorship have been successful in keeping her from being deposed in the Lutfi litigation,” a source told Radar. “First of all, everyone involved wants Britney to get married once the conservatorship has been lifted.”
“Lawyers for Britney’s conservatorship have been successful in keeping her from being deposed in the Lutfi litigation,” a source close to the situation tells Radar. “She could get married under the conservatorship, but the judge would have to sign off on it. If that were to happen, lawyers repping Lutfi would absolutely go into court and argue that if Britney were able to get married, she should be able to be deposed. There is no way Team Spears is going to let that happen.”
That court date is scheduled for September 11 of this year.
