Simpson and Roberge sing alongside Special Olympian Bree Bogucki and viral sensation Madison Tevlin.
Cody Simpson and O.A.R. lead singer Marc Roberge unite on “Reach Up” to promote this summer’s Special Olympics.
Simpson and Roberge premiered the inspirational track on Good Morning America on Monday urging fans to share the video using the #ReachUp hashtag. For every successful share, Coca Cola will donate one dollar to the Special Olympics which kick off July 25 in LA. In the music video for the upbeat song, Simpson and Roberge join two talented young singers with intellectual disabilities, Special Olympian Bree Bogucki and viral sensation Madison Tevlin. Footage of the athletes is front and center with clips of Simpson and Roberge singing it in the recording studio alongside Bogucki and Tevlin are spliced in. The chorus and melody is certainly touching (“So everyone reach up / put your hands together / don’t give up / climb forever”), but it is the meaning behind the promotional tune that’s extra special.
