Hitsdailydouble must hate Britney; they always underestimate her sales!

HDD claimed Britney’s Circus album would take the #9 spot, though new reports suggest otherwise. According to Billboard.biz, Circus lands at #7 this week, selling 31,000 copies.

Additionally, Billboard is reporting Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would **** Without You” may take Britney’s record breaking chart jump with “Womanizer,” which debuted at #96, and soon skyrocketed to #1.

Kelly Clarkson debuts at No. 1 on Hot Digital Songs with “My Life Would **** Without You,” selling 280,000 downloads. The tune is poised to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 when the chart is compiled later today (Jan. 28). If it does, it’ll be the biggest jump to No. 1 ever, surpassing Britney Spears’ 96-1 vault with “Womanizer” last year. If Clarkson’s “****” zooms to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, it will be her second chart-topper, following her debut single, 2002’s “A Moment Like This.”

Congrats, Brit. So Britney fans, how should we sabotage Kelly’s big chance? Any ideas???

UPDATE: It’s official. According to Billboard.com, Kelly Clarkson broke Britney’s record:

Kelly Clarkson will make history on this week’s Billboard Hot 100, to be posted tomorrow (Jan. 29) on Billboard.com, with the largest leap to No. 1 in the chart’s 50-year history.

Her new single, “My Life Would **** Without You,” is set to rocket 97-1 after selling 280,000 digital downloads in its first week of availability. The song is also faring well at radio, jumping 58-38 on the Hot 100 Airplay chart and 27-18 on the Mainstream Top 40 list.
