Cheryl records her own version of “Brightest Morning Star.”
It’s thumpy, it’s breathy and innocent (minus the F-bomb); Cheryl Cole’s new song, “Stars,” debuted today and is another strong contender amongst the handful of songs she’s released this era.
The message, though? “Just forget who you are – we can all be stars.”
In other words, realize your life as a peasent is as good as it’s going to get, so go get wasted and pretend you’re Paris Hilton and life will be much better.
“We can rock the night like we ******’ own it”
It’s a solid power ballad(?), but perhaps it’d sound better with a Britney Spears feature. Random, but it could happen. Cheryl recently told MTV she’d love to see her and Brit Brit record a track together.
Honestly, who would be my dream collaboration. Britney. Britney Spears. We can have like a verse and verse, we can do like Brandy and Monica’s ‘The Boy Is Mine’ but a Britney and Cheryl version.”
