The Good Ol Days: Charli XCX And Troye Sivans Music Video For 1999 Is Nostalgic

Take a trip down memory lane with Charli XCX and Troye Sivan’s new music video for “1999.”

Charli and Troye’s new video is a reminder that we’re all getting old. I’m ok with that.

In the clip, the two make references to iconic moments from that year, including TLC’s “Waterfalls” video, the iconic sunset scene from Titanic, The Spice Girls, Steve Jobs, the Backstreet Boys, Eminem, Marilyn Manson, The Sims, The Matrix film and Justin Timberlake’s ramen noodle hair.

I’d like to point out Titanic premiered in 1997, the Nokia phone in 2003 and TLC’s “Waterfalls” video in 1995, so…

Also, the song has a nod to Britney Spears, but unfortunately her likeness doesn’t make an appearance in the vid.
