The Chainsmokers Eat Their Friends For Dinner In The “You Owe Me” Video: Watch

The Chainsmokers are bloodthirsty vampires in the “You Owe Me” music video.

So I just low-key spoiled the video for you, but there’s really no other way to go about this.

In their new visual, Alex and Drew perform mundane tasks around the house in preparation for their dinner party, like ironing and doing the dishes. When their buddies arrive, the guys transform into menacing monsters and literally feast on their fake friends.

I guess it makes sense. In the song, Drew sings, “You don’t know me / Don’t you think that I get lonely? / It gets dark inside my head / Check my pulse and if I’m dead you owe me.” Sigh, I don’t know.

The blogosphere was not fond of The Chainsmokers’ first release, “Sick Boy”, and I’m going to have to second that on “You Owe Me.” The track goes nowhere and overall just pretty terrible. They need to drop another “Roses,” or I’m afraid their fans will turn on them. Hey, kind of like the video! Smart.
