Let’s be honest, all good artists are complex but people are kinda basic and need a CHARACTER with a simple story to follow from time to time. Britney was a ****** from the beginning until her team switched it to femme fatale, simply because she can’t be a ****** in her thirties, period. Rihanna is the eternal “bad gal” or rebel girl, she even has it as her Instagram handle! (and even a tattoo on her neck…). Sometimes it’s clearer, sometimes not so much, but the public should kinda have an idea. IGGY WHO ARE YOU.
By VCTR on December 2, 2019 in Charts = Farts: Here’s How Tinashe’s New Album ‘Songs For You’ Performed In Its First Week
Here are my thoughts since all of you have been waiting for them:
a) I would be interested in buying this album if it were on vinyl. That’s pretty much the only time I purchase over stream nowadays. But it’s a solid album and tbh I’ve never even been much of a fan. Last I checked, there were no physical albums but of course that costs more money. Am I the only one who would get this on vinyl?
b) I honestly wouldn’t even know this was released were in not for Breathe Heavy. So, maybe it’ll gain some momentum in a minute. We’ll see.
By Roxxy on December 2, 2019 in Britney Is Reportedly Doing “Incredibly Well,” But Has No Immediate Plans To Release New Music
I actually teared up a bit while reading this. It is such a relief. I don’t mind not having any new music. I’m fine with repeated plays on her old music and casually rewatching old interviews and performances and stuff. If she’s happy then I can live with rewatching Live from Las Vegas and For the Record for the xth time. Take your time, Brit. Happy Birthday! 💖

Personas sell pop music more so now than ever before. The quality of the music doesn’t matter nearly as much as the draw of the artist. Drake or Rihanna can burp into a microphone for 3:20 and that shits gonna stay at #1 for 10 weeks. Tinashe out does her peers in almost every area yet she’s not catering to 16 year olds, so she’s not going to be topping the charts. Case and point back in 2018 when the “cash me outside“ girl and lil yachty outperformed Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato on the Hot 100… CHART SUCCESS DOES NOT EQUATE TO TALENT. It’s about how an artist connects to the consumer driving the industry at any given time. Keep doing you Tinashe, churning out bops and phenomenal choreography.

I already went for her jugular. Idk what her deal is with bashing our gal but i’m over it. She continuously uses her to get in headlines (like so many others) and I’ve had it with these wannabes. Britney has been through enough and shes not a punching bag. She’s a freaking warrior.
