He renamed his album to ‘9’ and confirmed some exciting news.
Cashmere Cat shows off his production gymnastics.
Part of you will ask yourself what the f–k you’re listening to after a spin of Cashmere Cat, SOPHIE & MØ’s “9 (After Coachella).” That’s a compliment. The maniacal EDM track sounds like nothing else out there currently. Warm tropical drums are bathed in monstrous synths before a ferociously quirky drop bounces in. Trippy AF.
“I like the way your body moves / I like the way you spread confusion,” MØ croons over howling production. “I love the way my heart is blooming / You’ll never be mine.”
“9 (After Coachella)” serves as the latest offering off the producer’s forthcoming album 9 (previously titled Wild Love). CC confirmed the name change on Monday (April 3) and said it’s finished.
