So, is there beef or nah?

Cardi B tip-toes away from addressing if she and Nicki Minaj have beef.

This is weird. Nicki and Cardi went out of their way to assure fans there’s no bad blood between them. But things took an interesting turn when they were both featured on Migos’ new song “MotorSport.” Nicki recorded her feature first, then seemed surprised that Cardi made the final cut as well.

There’s also a video for track in the works, and there’s no sign of Nicki anywhere.

Capital Xtra asked Cardi if she and Nicki are on good terms, and well… it’s a bit awkward.

“Well, when I heard the track, her verse wasn’t finished,” Cardi said. “Or it’s not the verse that’s [on there] right now. And Quavo told me that to get on the song, and I just felt like it’s a perfect opportunity for me to be on a track that’s big like them. Cause those are two big people, and I just started in the game. And I just know if I get on this record, it’s gonna be crazy. Like, who doesn’t want it?”

Cardi added that she “spoke to [Nicki] before” in person, but it’s not clear how they left things. It’s kind of a bummer that both ladies tried to avoid confrontation, but the rest of the world forced it anyway.

  1. It seems like she’s just being careful because she knows how quickly people turn words around and start drama. She even goes on to say that she jumped on the track because of the opportunity to be on a big track, and Nicki herself said she approved it. They are both winning.
