Mars jokingly asked the NFL if he could curate next year’s Super Bowl Halftime show in Atlanta (for a billion dollars and something tells me he’s not really kidding).

“@NFL you have the opportunity to celebrate incredible Hip Hop Artist from Atlanta Next year,” he Tweeted. “Outkast. T.I Gucci, lil jon, Jeezy, Jermaine Dupri just to name a few. it would be the best party Tv has ever seen! **** I just wanna help curate that show, and I’ll only charge like a billion. All jokes aside please lets make that happen.”

Mars knows what’s up. He headlined in 2014 and joined Coldplay and Beyonce in 2016.

I’m definitely here for hip-hop to take over the Halftime Show, but unfortunately the NFL appears to be one of the most tone-deaf organizations on the planet. They’ll stick to their mainstream pop star formula. Bookmark me.
