Bruno Mars and Cardi B’s “Finesse” Remix Outperforms Justin Timberlake’s “Filthy” on the Hot 100

More people prefer “Finesse” to “Filthy.”

The numbers are in (and numbers are everything!!!!!!!!).

Bruno Mars and Cardi B’s “Finesse” Remix trumps Justin Timberlake’s lead Man of the Woods single, “Filthy.”

“Finesses” blasts to No. 3 on the Hot 100 this week. It debuted at No. 35 the week before with only one day’s worth of streaming data because it premiered on a Wednesday. “Filthy” debuts at No. 9.

Billboard has a tedious list of details about Mars’ charting achievements. You can read that here.

I can’t say I’m surprised. I’m a JT STAN, but I’m not immune to the general reaction of “Filthy.” It just didn’t resonate the way “Sexyback” or “Suit & Tie” did, and that’s a real shame.

Timberlake will get a second shot at impressing the people. His new song, “Supplies,” drops this Thursday (Jan. 18).

You can stream both songs below. I put “Finesse” first, because the people have spoken. Err… listened.

It’s also worth mentioning Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” is No. 1 again. They removed Beyonce’s credit from it, which is… interesting.

“Ed Sheeran’s ¡Perfect¡ is No. 1 again. They removed Beyonce’s credit from it, which is… interesting.” > After reading Billboard’s explanation, I think it makes sense.
