May the 4ce be with U.

If two phenomenons like Britney Spears and Star Wars could collide, it might look something like this.

Remix artist Nick*, who’s remained a frequent flyer on BreatheHeavy over the years, cooked up a futuristic-sounding edit of fan-favorite, “Slave 4 U.” This Interstellar Remix incorporates icy synths, sugary bleeps and a pounding beat; it’s worth your undivided attention.

Nick* describes it as “the soundtrack for Han & Leia getting down on the Millennium Falcon.”

“The whole starry night/outer space vibe was suddenly calling to me,” he said. “I tried remixing I’m A Slave 4 U in 2011 for its 10th anniversary, but it just fell apart and wasn’t a strong mix. It was kept in the back of my mind for a few years and I gave it another shot in 2017 where I came up with the cool melody thing you hear in the hook and some beat ideas (some I kept), but it still sucked until I picked it back up earlier this month.”

He added: “I was determined to nail the remix this time.”

Give it a listen below, then let us know what you think of it in the comments!

          1. Yeah i’ll pretend you didn’t say that cause that doesn’t make sense with my fantasy. I like to stay delusional on the things that I cherish. πŸ˜‚

        1. Imagine Britney’s next era with Justin Tranter as EP of the studio album and @remixedbynick as EP of the remix album. Oh my god iconic. It’s gonna slay. 🀯 gonna be the best era since FF (which is also the era we got the last remix album).

  1. I’ve been following this blog for a long time but never had the courage to sign up and comment. But this remix is so GOOD, I can’t stay silence anymore πŸ˜‚ ! Great work πŸ’« , the vibe is amazing.

  2. This sounds amazing, and so polished. But that doesn’t surprise me coming from Nick*. Great job!
