If Britney recorded a proper cover of Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” it might sound something like this.

It didn’t take long for the Internet to run with Britney’s a cappella surprise. The pop star shared a video of her singing the classic to celebrate another trip around the sun, and fans went nuts for several reasons… It’s rare Britney shares live vocals. Even rarer when it’s not accompanied with music, so this was a truly special present.

There are a couple of fan-edited versions worth listening to. The first is with added instrumentation compiled with a couple of clips celebrating her bday with boyfriend Sam Asghari.

The second clip lowers the pitch of her vocals – fans suspect Britney sped up the video which elevated her vocals to sound more like “Britney.”

The Glory singer mentioned wanting to film a proper 360-degree video singing in a little black dress. This was an outstanding warmup. Hopefully she’ll sneak something like this in to one of the final Piece Of Me shows slated for this month.
